Since I was craving the chicken broccoli I got that and it was really tasty and delicious. However looking at the menu I am definitely going to get the hibachi next time."

"This is a gem in the little town of Holidaysburg. A local heading out where the owner/bartender/waiter knows most people by name. The beer arrives in frosted pints. For such a small place there's a good selection on the menu. The chicken in the wrap was nicely grilled. The fresh vegetables in the salad or crisp and delicious, even though it was snowing outside in the middle of the winter I was impressed by the freshness of their produce. That was put into the menu to be sure that there is something for everyone. Calorie conscious to indulgence."

"I stopped in on a weeknight about 10 mins before they were closing (I didn't realize their closing time when I came in, which was 8:30PM on this particular evening), but I got great, friendly and accommodating service! I heard about their potatoes and really wanted to try them, so I knew I was getting those, but this night was rib night and that sounded good too, and their housemade crab cakes also appealed to me - so I got all of that! The crab cake was really good! A decent amount of meat inside and not too much filler/binder, but seasoned really nicely! The cole slaw that came with it was really good, I always appreciate a nice cole slaw!! And the ribs were decent! They had a nice BBQ sauce on them and they were tender, not dry, but I didn't taste any smoke/fire, so I would assume they might have been baked and finished on a flame, perhaps? Either way, they were good. But those potatoes were excellent! Definitely unlike anything I've tried before! The bartender told me they put that same spice set on their chicken and wings, so if I ever came back, I'd try those for sure!Definitely worth stopping in for a meal, they do a nice job here! It's also just a few minutes away from PIT airport and since I was staying in Moon, it was a very quick drive."

"This place is a gem in the rough. The wings are excellent, especially so because of their seemingly 2.5 million different wing sauces. We're all getting used to the boards on the wall with new-arrival beers posted. How about a board announcing new arrival wing sauces? A couple of examples: Hot Strawberry & Root Beer. It's not a gimmick...they're all good!I also recommend the Block House Pumpkin ale from Pittsburgh Brewing if you're in the general area. It rivals Pumking for the closest rendition of pumpkin pie with whipped cream on top that I've had. And I've sampled a lot of 'em.The building and parking lot are old, but the ma & pa owners are continuously making improvements. And everyone is welcoming.So if you're on I-80 in western PA, do yourself a big favor...get off at Mercer, spot the Pitt Stop on the left, and stop in for some wings. To quote Clarence Worley in 'True Romance', "Throw caution to the wind and let the chips fall where they may" and try a wing sauce that piques your curiosity. Elvis definitely would approve."

RANCHO CHICKEN CALZONE: My partner got the (size small) rancho chicken calzone (peppers, onions, grilled chicken, ranch sauce, Buffalo fries, cheese). I got the impression that Buffalo fries would have a Buffalo sauce vibe, but it was a calzone filled with ranch sauce and cheese. For comfort food, it satisfied him. The size of it was huge for one person, even though it was a size "small" and it cost $15.99 on grubhub. I am rating it an "okay" for flavor and value. My partner says: "it was big and tasty but needed more Buffalo sauce but was good. They didn't skimp on vegetables, which I love.""

I opted for pizza and went to Capri. The owner was super friendly, and gave me a complimentary refill on my Pepsi! I ordered a small, plain white pizza-- and it was ready for me in 10 minutes. Total the bill was $8! You really can't beat the price. The pizza wasn't too greasy and had a good amount of flavor as well as cheese. I wanted a medium . Other reviewers have touched on how loud it is inside--this is true; seems to be a regular spot for a lot of people so take out might be good if you prefer a quieter place."

"Let's start this review off by saying my entire family is OBSESSED with Walid's. We tried it for the first time when I became a homeowner this past year and I needed to feed my moving crew. I got enough food to feed 8 people and it was less than $100 which is unbeatable for the quality of the food. We love it!I ordered the same menu items this past weekend and both times I've ordered here it's been incredible. We got the big family pan of chicken and the big family pan of cod fish. Both were super fresh, crispy, and flavorful. The fries were just coming out of the fryer when we arrived, so we had no doubts they'd also be delicious. For the price and how amazing the food is at Walid's, it's easy to say we have a local favorite that we will visit time and time again. I'd recommend this spot to anyone looking for some great fried comfort food!"

Plus, the cars were very high end, so we thought it must be really good. Once we checked in, in person, they said they would text us when ready. True to word, 20 minutes later we had a great private table by the bar. I was so happy! Our server was so obliging and polite. He heard all our asks and delivered. For me, service makes all the difference and when there is none, I get quickly upset. He was on point!Food was delicious, not overpriced, and I would advocate this place for any out of towners! "I should give 5 stars just for the fact that someone is willing to venture into the bar/ restaurant business these days. 5 more stars for shining the place up as it used to be Johnny's Wife's Place, a long time staple in the community. Fun space and location. We came on a Friday night and was a little surprised to find a fairly empty bar. Thankfully for them, their liquor license is in the final approval stages and will help increase business. Until then, they do have a nice variety of complimentary alcoholic beverages to choose from.Menu is not overwhelming, which is a good thing. My smashburger was very good. Our server was very friendly and shared a few interesting facts about the reference for 1888. 1888 is the year the city of Jeannette was founded. Nice touch.We plan to return during football season to catch a few games on the large TV screens."

McGrogans, or McGrogs as we fondly refer to it, is our favorite little haunt in Canonsburg. One of my friends discovered it and it became our go-to 'after work' rant session venue. It offers a fairly decent selection of beer and spirits and a large bar counter... and an eclectic crowd. Weekday happy hour is half off. I will personally vouch for their jalapeño poppers and zucchini planks - my standard order when I'm here! The pizza and hoagies are good too. Service is friendly and on point! Their jukebox lets you pick the music - you will hear anything from Taylor Swift to Pink Floyd to the heaviest metal here in succession in the same evening. There is no judgement here, the poppers are the best and the beer is cheap! What more do you want! Now, most of us don't even work in Canonsburg anymore but still return to McGrogs every now and then just coz well... it's McGrogs!"

Big Fine Woman 3000 and Ox's were my favorite. Note for those that can't handle the heat - DON'T go Walking in Beaver Falls. Very hot!!!! I hear you can TALK about it (slightly tamer flavor). Staff was great when I ordered - please make sure you call the intended location. Pleasant Hills popped up first for me and we didn't realize I had the wrong place until halfway through placing the order since all locations don't have the same flavors. My only suggestion on the menu would be to put a "heat factor" next to each. It's hard to tell what has serious spice from mild. Also ordered a Cajun chicken salad - looked and tasted amazing."
