"Happy hour? Yes, please. 6pm on a Wednesday evening, we arrive at Dive. The parking lot looks full but don't let that fool you. We were seated immediately at a comfortable table in the dining room. We were greeted promptly by a friendly server who quickly brought us our first round of Happy Hour priced drinks, and the $6 app came to us soon after. We got the cauliflower. It's lighter than fried and very tasty - not boring at all - large portion even for happy hour special. The sauce is not overpowering. It's great.Buffalo chicken sandwich was my choice - so good! Great balance of Buffalo flavor and blue cheese. It was especially good fried: the crunch added to the flavor, but you can also order grilled. I'll keep this in mind for a lower calorie choice but this time I went for the fried and I'm glad I did. It comes with one side, and I ordered regular fries. I could've skipped those since the appetizr was so plentiful (cauliflower). My husband chose the pulled pork melt. This was also a great choice. If you like tots, go for the sweat potato tots. They are served with a special cinnamon dip that compliments them nicely. Oh, about the happy hour, our server came back to us swiftly so that we had an opportunity to order a second drink at the happy hour price. Friendly service, comfortable atmosphere and great location. This is a must-go if you haven't been yet!"
"Discovering new areas of the city allows you to discover new eateries that you had no clue existed. This, at least to me, is none truer than on the North Side of the city. I hardly ventured there in the years prior. Not because I didn't want to, but because I had no real reason to do so. I have found myself on the North Side more and more recently. How else would I have stumbled upon this gem?Believe it or not we were actually on our way to another spot before we even considered this place. When we arrived there we found that they were not to open for another few hours. But when you are hungry, your stomach doesn't wait. So we had started back to the car and I noticed this spot, if it wasn't for me taking a quick peak at the inside, we probably would have never stepped foot inside here. They captured the whole bistro feel inside here. I noticed that the seating here really didn't match but it gave it a great feel. I also noticed that there was an outside area where you can sit in the warmer months. It's not out front, but it looks like a really cozy area to enjoy a meal. This place is set up kind of like cafeteria style. You can't really tell what will be on the menu until you step inside. It's my understanding that the menu rotates often, so you may never have the same meal twice here. The day that we were here I decided on the Country Chicken with potatoes. This was delicious and I felt like I was having a gourmet meal in the middle of a posh area. The chicken was nicely done and moist. The gravy on it was savory and almost had me licking my plate. The potatoes were more smashed than mashed and as you can see from the picture some of the skins were still mixed in, one of my favorite things. It may sound like an oxymoron, but this was a quick, fancy meal to be having. I was definitely surprised by the quality of food and left here with a full belly. Definitely worth a venture if you want some of the best comfort food the North Side has to offer."
"The ribs are good! Smokey and tender, but not over-cooked that you get at so many other places. A nice tasty meat flavor. They add just a little sauce and give you a small container so you can have it with or without. Finally had a couple of sides. The slaw is good and the Mac & Cheese is very cheesy."
"If you know me you know I've been to a lot of restaurants and food trucks. So when I say this is the best Curry I've had in North America, and the best food truck I've ever eaten from, you know I'm either on acid, or dead right. Or more likely, both. When I see this food truck, I start doing "India on Cartwheels" in my mind. And I let out a few "India on Squeals." I brought my friend Remington here, thinking it was "India On Steele's." And if it were referring to my guy friend from Hyderabad who is currently dating my girl friend from Cardiff, it'd be "India on Wales." Ahem. What to get: Large Chicken Tikka Masala (spice level 1-10) for $5.50.Why: It's the best curry in North America, and I've had at least 57% of them. You're lying: Yes, I'm horizontal in bed right now because I'm full to the brim of IoW curry. So they how are you going to get to the gym today: You're going to have to curry me out.Seriously, if you only eat 1 thing in Pittsburgh, let it be this. They open from around 11 to 6 each day (shorter hours when school is out, sometimes), parked on Bigelow about 2 blocks north of the Cathedral Of Learning. There's a new one over by Carnegie Mellon too, haven't been yet.I've sent and taken many people here now, and the *majority* think it is one of the best curries they've ever had. Including people who have lived in and visited England and/or India. So I'm not crazy. I get requests to drive it all the way back to Buffalo most times I'm here. The prices are ridiculously low. It's silly. I mean, they're basically giving these amazing curries away. The Samosa Chaat is good, the Mango Lassi not so good, but it's the curries that win the world universe galaxy curry contest. Chicken Tikka Masala is *the* one. It tastes a lot like the curries over in England (British Indian is a cuisine all unto itself, invented by Indian immigrants, and perhaps the most delicious genre of food you can get in the UK... and we all do). It would actually be one of the best ones in London, Birmingham, Manchester, or even Bradford. Except that it's in Pittsburgh.Don't leave it out of the fridge for too long, or it'll be "India on Congeals." And be grateful it's served over rice and not "India on Oatmeal." If you eat so much of it that you get super tall, I'll call you "India on Shaquille." And if you want to turn me on while eating it, try "India on High Heels."The people of Pitt just don't know how lucky they are to have this truck here. I drive 4 hours from Buffalo just to have it, on a bi-monthly basis. Not that I'm bi, but I would be, if that was the only way to scarf down this curry regularly. However, one caveat is that not everyone will like it. If you're used to "Indian Indian" over British Indian, or if you are used to the Americanized crap (sorry), then this might not be your cup of tea. It's a matter of taste. If it's not your cup of tea, we can't be friends anymore. (Joke) (Sort of). Some of the negative reviews here are actually clearly from people who were expecting Americanized crap, and "don't get it." It's their loss, really.Another caveat, and my only complaint, is that while they're lovely people, in some of their online responses... I'd advise them to be a little more "kissy-assy", one might say. I sent a friend here, and her experience was not great. I wish the responses to her review had been more gentle, less confrontational. An argumentative response to a negative review is so much more off-putting to potential customers than the review itself. If they ever remove those responses and start being suck-ups ;) then I'll remove this paragraph. I just want them to be loved by all the way I love them, for the *incredible* food.Service: amazing. The owner is a wonderful guy, and has even stayed open late for me on several occasions, I'd call from Ohip and tell him I'd be 20 mins later than closing. No problem. Wow!If you get it on a Sunday, it's "India on Steelers." And if your banana just un-peeled itself, then "India on Repeel." With these prices, it's more like "India on Great Deals." Or "India on Steals." I might make a movie about this truck: "India on Reels." Or it might turn me into one of those shirtless studly Bollywood guys, so my nickname could be "India on Sex Appeals."And if you eat more than 1 thing in Pitt, you may also want to try the Rib Eye Taco at Las Palmas (on Brookline), and the Gyro from Greek Gourmet or Gali's, as well as the steak sandwich at Gaucho, and the Old Bay - Wet wings at Bob's Big Shot. But if it's just 1 thing... let it be this Chicken Tikka Masala. Believe it.Anyway I've been rambling too long, I feel like I've given you the whole "India on Spiel."And if it were referring to how most Indians imagine themselves hooking up with Jessica Biel (or any one of her sisters), then it'd be "India on Biels."Whereas if it were about how emotional I get when I eat this spectacular, incomparable Chicken Tikka Masala, it'd be named "India on All-The-Feels.""
"I ordered through the app so I can't describe the service, but I will say that my order was ready from what it stated in the app and my meal was 100% accurate. Just from going in and picking up my food, the place is very nice and bright. There were quite a few people there so business must be good! This rating is towards my order: Garlic Butter Shrimp Stir-Fry.I get home and I unpack my order. I think that it was just the meal, but between the regular sauce and garlic butter sauce I ordered - this was one of the most oiliest meals I have ever had. This bowl has egg white noodles, roasted shrimp, mushrooms, scallions, snow peas, sesame seeds, and chili crisps. All these plus the sauces made for one delicious tasting meal. I was a bit disappointed with the amount of shrimp that comes with bowl - there was about 7 shrimp and if you want extra shrimp it's an extra $4.10 (on the app)! And these shrimp weren't big at all, they were the tiny shrimp so the price point for it all was a bit disappointing too. Besides the lack of shrimp and the bowl being so oily, it really was delicious! I will definitely be back to try the other orders!"
"Hi everyone, Easter was on its way my wife and I decided that we were not going to do the same old traditional ham an fixings for Easter. We decided to do roast beef and stuffed chicken breast with homemade mashed potatoes and gravy. I know what your thinking! Roast beef. Really? Let me tell you that their food is to die for . So good and flavorful if you go I promise you won't be disappointed."
"A friend recommended Eadies - for a cake for a baby shower instead of our standard bakery near where work. I was quite impressed. We ordered a round cake for a baby shower- ordered the kit too which was extra. The cake was beautiful.. so much detail. Strawberry butter crème. It was delicious and not too over the top sweet. The prices are slightly above average but its worth it."
"Delicious and fresh made. I had the Tabbouleh, grape leaves, hummous, and pita. I was absolutely impressed by the authenticity, price and taste. Good portion size. Great choice for Mediterranean cuisine."
"We had a great dinner here on a Thursday night. The food, service, and decor were all great. The restaurant was all decked out for Christmas, which was very festive and fun. We had the brisket (plate and sliders), greens, and cole slaw. Everything was delicious. They do add peppers to their cole slaw, which is not my thing. All in all a good dinner and a good night!"

The food choices alone. So we have been here many times since it opened up. We've tried a lot of different foods. And have never been disappointed. This picture is of the Crabby Tot's.

Heard good things about bistro to go from some of our friends. We have lived on the Northside for about a year and have seen it several times but never stopped in. We are regretting that choice because it was delicious. My wife and I weren't particularly hungry so we shared the pepper steak. The portion was great for sharing and the sides were good as well. We picked up right around closing and did not get our salad that should have come with our meal. No one said anything about it being sold out, but we did get a dollar or two off our bill, so that may be why? The cornbread was some of the best I've ever had. Typically, cornbread is pretty dry, but this was moist and tasted amazing. The steak was super tender and the sauce it was swimming in was also really good! Everything on the menu looks really good and we wished we were more hungry to try more of it. We will be back though!

I hadn't been in a couple years so I thought I would see if much has changed. The food was definitely better on this visit. I wanted to give them 2 last time and couldn't do it just based on one visit. They could just have had a bad day. I ordered the same this time. 1/2 rack, beans, slaw. It was good. I would return. I think some things could be better so I hesitate to give them 4 stars. The ribs are good. I like them to be a little juicier but they were definitely not as dry as my first visit. I liked the mild sauce. It has a little tang and is sweet but not sickeningly so. They have a rub on them but it's indistinct to me. Does it sweat off in a wrap as they hold them? I don't love the texture of them and maybe this is a heat issue on the smoker and maybe it's the way they hold them. I still like them and gobbled them up.The slaw was good and had a lot more flavor to it than the first time I tried it. A little sweet with a nice tang. The beans weren't swimming this time and I really enjoyed them. This is a trailer, not a restaurant but I do wish they would do a couple things to rise above. There's no recycling. None of the product they use to serve and package is recyclable except the grocery bags. Not even the aluminum foil lined tissue they put in the bottom of your styrofoam box is recyclable. DON"T serve my food in aluminum!!!!!! I also saw they wrap their ribs in aluminum foil and I hope they use plastic wrap first. Either way, I bet they're throwing it away. If you aren't going to offer recycling or use recyclable product, buy biodegradable. It's time to take some responsibility. It's not the 70s anymore. I didn't order a drink (all bottled) or I would have taken the empty with me. You can do better than this and for $15 a half rack I think you could step up and spend a little more money for some better service ware. It probably won't be 2 years before I return again. Maybe I will bring my own service ware and have them dish it out on something else!

*HIGHLY RECOMMENDED**4.5/5*For cheap, fast, and good Indian food, this is the place. Located right on campus, India on Wheels is one of my favorite places to get Indian food. They have very good portioned meals for only $4/$5 depending on the size you get; I can get two meals out of one large order. I've tried so many of their food and all of them are real tasty. This food truck has save me many times when I was starving on campus and couldn't afford to spend that much on food. Best part is that you can substitute rice with naan, and their naan is amazing. Some of my favorite items include chicken saag, tikka masala, and korma. But honestly, all of their curries are great.*VERDICT*Would always go back 100%. It's crave-worthy :)

Catering was excellent. The communication was smooth, they arrived on time, and were set up early. I placed the order the week of and they were super accommodating to my last minute requests. My guests loved the food and even mentioned it in the post event survey.

The food here is definitely high quality. There are not many Mediterranean places in Pittsburgh, and I'm quite glad to have a place like this in Squirrel Hill. This place is smaller, and they definitely do a lot of takeout orders. I ordered the meat kafta meal (it came with two sides, so I chose the meat pie and the cheese dough) as well as the Syrian rice pudding. The kafta is so delicious, almost perfect. It is a bit similar to the Russian meat cutlets. The meat is perfectly cooked as well. I think this place's specialty is meat, so definitely try on of the meals with meat if you're not a vegetarian. The rice served along with this meal was absolutely perfect as well. So buttery and well cooked. They give you a huge portion of rice along with your meat which is well appreciated. They served the meal with an oil based sauce on the side. It goes well with the rice and the meat as well. You even get free pita (choose between whole wheat and white), and it was a decent pita. Since the meal was huge, the price tag was worth it in my opinion.I was not a fan of the cheese pie. The description for the pie did not mention they had onions with this bread. It had way too many onions, and there was not enough cheese. I do appreciate they give you the option to choose 2 sides for free, but just don't choose the cheese pie as one of them. The meat pie, though, was outstanding. Again, the trend is anything with meat from this place is delicious. There is a ton of meat packed in and it'd a very flavorful pie. The bread was well cooked and had a good meat to bread ratio.I was fond of the Syrian rice pudding. It had that flavor of being in the fridge for too long. It was also quite grainy and had a strange texture (you couldn't taste the rice kernels, but there were tiny grains everywhere). Not sweet enough. Would recommend trying the baklava or a halva bar instead. All in all, a pretty good Mediterranean place in Squirrel Hill. A good place for takeout or delivery especially, and I believe they do catering well too. The meat here is absolutely excellent; you must get something with meat if you eat meat!

"I had been seeing posts about this place opening soon in my neighborhood so I had to go on opening day. Not only does this place offer catering but they have prepared foods you can take home and heat. We love Mediterranean food so it was a bonus that they were serving it. We ordered a variety of items and took them home to heat and eat. We bought a large size soup-Lemon Chicken Orzo. It fed 2 of us nicely. The tang of the lemon was delightful. The portion of chicken was twice what you might expect. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was it had a lot of celery. I'm not a big celery fan to begin with so to have so much was a bit disappointing. It was nice to have such a bright tasting soup on a dark, cold day. We ordered the Pulled Citrus Pork as a side to try. I had never had citrus pork before. My, my what Goodness I have been missing out on. The pork was tender and the citrus was perfect. It wasn't overwhelming. It made me think of summertime which is nice when it's single digit weather. The Mediterranean Chicken was so tender that I didn't need a knife to cut it. It came with olives and artichoke hearts as well as a few other veggies. The chicken was juicy and full of flavor. The last, but not least, item that we had was olive hummus. It had a nice consistency. I love olives and this was delightful. They give you a fried pita to eat it with. The pita is very thin and crispy. I had never eaten one like that before. However, I might be a bit old school because I would have preferred a plain pita. You need the thickness to dip and hold your hummus. It was a fresh and tasty meal. They have the ingredients and heating instructions on each item. The ingredient listing is helpful for people with food allergies or if you just want to know what is in what you are eating. I will definitely be going back."
"I've never had anything bad from here; burger, salad, pulled pork, soup, pasta, everything is amazing."
"Fast & tasty! I had the Chicken Picatta. It was really good and a very good sized serving!"
"I am a huge fan of the locally-owned Hazelwood Cafe. They have excellent pastries and drinks. They make their own chai if that's your thing, for non-coffee drinkers or those coming from the gym they have excellent smoothies, and the African coffee brings a special taste to those who appreciate good coffee.Hazelwood Cafe also always has an array of baked goodies that have provided to be excellent. I am not a breakfast sandwich guy but my life enjoys the breakfast sandwich on a bagel. Hazelwood Cafe is a little something for everyone. Cozy yet plenty of seats and free wifi. Great place for work, a meeting, or just a quick drink and snack. And how could I forget the service? There's nothing like a locally-owned business that truly stems from the community."
"Dan and Vic (the Two Chefs!) have an absolute gem here. Located in Hopewell Township, right off of Broadhead Road, Two Chefs is a triple threat that caters (ha! see what I did there?) to all kinds of customers. The quality, taste, and presentation of their food have always been on point. The husband and I have been over for dinner close to ten times since their opening and a couple of times we've stopped by for dessert and coffee. Each time there's been people there getting food, and we were all served with excellent customer service. The menu changes from day to day and you can follow the business on Facebook where they post all kinds of updates as well as their hours and the menu. You can tell from the banter in the page that all of their employees genuinely love what they're doing. Two Chefs also catered our wedding! They have a broad range of options so that you can feed even the pickiest of eaters. Pricing was great, to be honest, I was surprised at how inexpensive it was to get food for 50 people. Our food arrived piping hot at the reception, and the quality was just as good as the pick-up portion at their store. All of our guests raved about the meatballs, the mac and cheese, and the grilled chicken breasts.Out of all my reviews on Yelp, this is indeed one where I can recommend without hesitation."
"I say 5 stars are in order. My father-in-law passed away and my mom-in-law wanted to have lunch after the service, at the cemetery as the cemetery was right up the road. She chose Woody's. The staff, Dawn, was absolutely amazing! I called to get everything set up and it went off perfectly. Dawn was caring and compassionate. She made sure we were well taken care of. She was a pleasure to deal with. We got there a little later than we expected but they were ready. The food was warm and good, needed sustenance for our emotionally drained bellies. We needed food and they did a phenomenal job. My mom-in-law chose the two entree buffet option. She picked roast beef and boneless breaded chicken for the entrees. You get rolls, salad, a veggie (she chose glazed carrots), potatoes (she chose roasted red skin parsley), and a pasta (penne). They give you the option to add desserts for an additional cost (she said yes) and open or cash bar (it was a no in our case). And the bevvies were included. Other than the roast beef being quite dry, everything else was amazing! Good flavor on everything. Everything was cooked amazingly well, again, other than the roast beef. The chicken was tender. Pasta was nicely done. Carrots and potatoes were cooked but not overly, no mush here. The desserts were so good. There were a few to choose from (a banana cake, canolli cake, peanut butter pie, and creamsickle cake. The rave was the creamsickle). I chose the pb pie and while rich just yummy! I also tried the canolli cake which was less rich and not so sweet, still terrific though. And the waitress that was serving was simply amazing. No one's glass was ever empty and she did it and you didn't even notice. She was perfect. It was an awesome way to wrap up a horrible few days. Remembering the man we lost, but knowing he no longer suffers, that is something...we will definitely miss him and we will never stop loving him. He was an amazing man and made the man I married an amazing man. Thank you Woody's for your compassion and understanding and awesome food for our day of remembrance!"
"An okay place for a quick lunch. Grill does catering though I have not used them for that. Friendly staff. Food is much better than most "grills" I have been too. With so many choices it is good to know of one with quality serving."
"Solid you know like good enough. Awesome selection of alcoholic beverages. With a good sub shop attached. Jerry Garcia Band radio on the entire time I was there- so that gives you half a star more for sure! My girlfriend said the veggie sub was excellent Chicken parm was good - kinda safe and neutral sauce but good. Fast, efficient, in and out in 35 minutes..."
"I love Roxanne's Catering! For each event, all orders are accurate, and the food is always fresh and on point. Roxanne and her staff are just amazing. They are always very friendly and professional. Need a cake for your event too? Roxanne's catering provides that service as well!! Thank you, Roxanne's catering, for the great service."
"Decided to try this place after seeing it on TikTok. We pulled up round 450. We were scared because they told us they aren't taking any more orders. Ms. Vickey herself came out and told us the reason. Very sweet kind hearted lady from the vibe I got. They had 2 large parties so I get it. They ended up allowing us to sneak a order in. THANK YOU! I got the fried whiting, yams, Mac, and peach cobbler. My babe got the 2 piece chicken, Mac and collard. They serve kool aid so he grabbed that (the house look aid) One thing I didn't like, while we were waiting for our food a couple came in and they took their order right away..... but for us they told us they weren't going to take it..... I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt that MAYBE they decided to just take orders after us but i don't know..... not coolLocation is in a a catering hall. Lots of parking. Seating was limited from what I saw but they also had 2 big parties (decorated). "I've ordered from "Beyond Parsley" for several occasions. Yesterday, they delivered again for our family reunion. Ordered from the "a la cart" menu, prices fair, food was delicious, on time. Will definitely order from them again for our next occasion."
"UPDATE! I went back and tried the fried chicken and turkey ribs. Got the potatoe salad too. Soooo good. The chicken is mustard fried chicken and is AMAZING! Juicy and flavorful perfectly cooked. The turkey ribs were good too. Deeply flavored with a wonderful smokey sweet sauce. The potatoe salad was nice too. Last time I had Catfish, greens, cabbage, mac and cheese, cornbread and oxtails. All were very good. The catfish is fried to order and cornmeal breaded great flavor and well cooked. The oxtail was very tender and falling off the bone very nice. The rice that came with the oxtails was not good tasted like a chicken rice mix from a box. Plain white rice would be better. Linguine salad was good but was 6.00 for single serving and didn't have shrimp or crab to justify the price.I'll be going back for the porkchops and smothered chicken soon. Soul food out monroeville mall"
"Great soul food in the heart of Homewood!I had been drooling over their Instagram page @7sensescatering for a while and had to stop by to check them out. The interior is small with a drink cooler, counter to order and two tables and a couple of chairs so I would say 7 Senses is more of a take out spot verses a sit down restaurant.I went on a Friday which was "Fish Fry" Friday so the daily special happened to be seafood based. I chose the New York Strip Steak and Bourbon Shrimp Special. For my sides i went with mac & cheese and a baked potato. All of the food is made to order so allow about 20 minutes depending how busy they are. Once my food was done, Tia the owner showed me all of my food after she packed it up and I was on my way. As soon as I got home I dug right in! Everything was delicious, but that Bourbon Shrimp and mac & cheese, OMG! The shrimp were perfectly cooked and loaded with flavor. The mac & cheese was gooey and oozing with cheese. Some of the best I've had in a long, long time! The steak was juicy and full of flavor, came topped with sauteed onions and mushrooms and the baked potato was excellent as well. I couldn't of asked for a better meal! They also have Cod, Tilapia and Whiting fish sandwiches and Cod, Salmon, Tilapia and Whiting fish dinners as well. All dinners come with your choice of two sides. If you're not a seafood person you have a lot of other items to choose from like burgers, fried wings, wraps, House, Wedge, Buffalo, Cajun, Grilled, Jerk Chicken, Salmon or Steak Salads. Chicken or Philly Cheese Steaks and Loaded Bacon & Cheese, Chicken, Chicken & Shrimp, Pizza, Steak, Steak & Shrimp and Senselessly Loaded Pizza Fries. When you leave 7 Senses you will definitely leave full and happy!"
"More than expected!I searched all over the Pittsburgh area for a caterer that would meet my needs for a Baby-Que! I wanted BBQ and the ability to taste the food before the event.I went one evening to taste test the food. They allowed me to bring someone with me and choose the items I wanted to taste. We tried the stuffed cabbage, pulled pork, chicken marsala, potatoes, and baked beans. We liked everything but the chicken. We mentioned it to the lady and she actually let us try the beef pot roast, which was delicious. This was served with their homemade horseradish. They supplied all the paper products and plastic utensils. They communicated with me before the event and answered all my questions by email. They were very responsive.During the event, they set up, cleaned up, displayed and arranged my cookies, cut and served the cake, and cleaned up the guests dirty dishes. They wrapped up all the leftover food as well. This was well beyond my expectations of any caterer. The 3 women who came to the event were very courteous as well. They were very pleasant to my guests. The only thing I wish they would have done was set up the buffet line the opposite way. I think traffic would have flowed a little better in the room we were in.I would recommend them for any event. Thanks for making my day even more special!"
