Grace W. "Fuku tea has been my favorite boba spot in Pittsburgh for half a decade now. Other boba shops have undercooked tapioca, but theirs is always fresh and so good. The tapioca is the best, it's not too small and it's always cooked right. You can't go wrong with a large #1 order of "Black & Gold" with 50% sweetness. They have really good drinks my favorite during the summer is the Guava or Mango Smoothie with tapioca. In the winter I get hot milk tea with tapioca. A lot of the reviews talk about how sweet the drinks are, but you can always adjust the sweetness. I always get 50-75% sweetness. I also love their snacks they have on the side, the cake mochi they have is so good. 11/10 best in Pgh"

A parking lot is conveniently located right across from the entrance to the restaurant. The restaurant is clean and there is good spacing between tables and booths.I ordered the Thai dumplings as my app with the Thai Foon Special fried rice (no heat), I don't do spicy food very well. And a Thai Iced tea with tapioca balls.Everything was delicious! This is going to be my go to dish, all of the protein add ins were cooked perfectly.Cash/Credit/Debit are accepted here."

I got sweet and sour chicken bites(I'm not sure what the correct menu item is) and they were heavenly. I also tried bubble tea for the first time and it was every bit as incredible as I thought it would be. God bless the girl at the register for helping decide what to get. She explained the items to me to help me narrow it down to what I'd want. Service was super fast. It's on Oakland ave so parking isn't ideal but they have cute outdoor tables to sit at. I can't wait to go back!"

So many ingredients in the prepared ingredient bowls that are so good for gut health and I loved that. I like how welcoming into the Pitt campus community (my alma mater x2) the business is. I imagine the parking and the limited seating area to be barriers but they seem to do well with primarily takeout orders. Can't wait to try more options, loved it!"

I was walking out the door with my Mango Milkshake within a free minutes. The Tapioca is the best in Pittsburgh. Just the right texture and flavor.I thought the shake was a little watery, and it was 1/3 ice. But the flavor was perfect and very refreshing."

Also had the dumplings (not pictured) and they had a good ratio of meat to dumpling. Very fresh. Everything was hot and service was fast and friendly. The inside was small, clean, and cozy. I really liked the laterns on the ceiling. I would definitely come back."

The staff laughs each time because we'll go to the same darn table each time; might as well engrave our name on table's edge why don't cha?i uploaded a pic of just about every dish that was eaten and every single order was near perfect. My idea of perfect may be different as this means these items are top notch: presentation, price, portion, service, and taste. The tremendous value and satisfaction plus consistency brings me back for each visit. Beef Rendang: Beef tender and aromatic seasoning resembles that of beef jerky flavor at first then once the tongue is coated, it is a totally different curry experience. Generous portion of protein but if I could, I would slice another pound of cucumbers to match! Scallion Pancakes: Ask for xtra crispy, you won't regret it.Spring rolls: light airy crispy thin outer and hot steamy veggies inside.Braised Beef Noodle: soft beef and bok choy with udon. yum.Stirfry Hotpot (maybe should be called hotpan): your choice of diff meats, veg and toppings with option to add diff types of noodles. Comes w two bowls of rice and feeds two easy.Curry Chicken: closely resembles how I make my own but just a little less sweet. I paired this up with the scallion pancake for a modified version of a Roti Canai Mapo Tofu - One of dee bestest mapo in PGH. Just remember that it does NOT come with meat so we request minced pork to add with green onions. Shrimp w ginger scallions - not many can do this, the flavor is packed in each from the other shell all the way to the core. For each bite, take a long scallion and a bit of ginger and you'll love yourself each time. All this is making me hungry, my new favorite place yinz!"

Karen Tana K. "Hello fellow Yelpers! We were so happy to see a rice noodle place crop up! One of us is from Hong Kong and we've tried Asian food around in China, Los Angeles, New York City, DC to name a few places and we have to say that this is Chinese style for sure and tastes AMAZING. These noodles match up the style that we've had in China pretty darn accurately.Warning: EAT IN if you want the best experience for the noodles. If you take home, though they do separate the noodles and soup, the noodles loose that perfect Al Dente chew that you get to control because in restaurant you can place it into the soup at your own pace. This is because the noodles end up steaming in the container on the way home and end up way softer. The portion is pretty decent and comes in a stone pot. The noodles are indeed spicy as well! The restaurant is nice and clean and matches the flavor that is sour and spicy just like you would get in China. The one star deduction is because the service (like many other Chinese restaurants) leaves something to be desired, you have to grab people for attention, they have some English speakers but mandarin is definitely the default. However they aren't mean or rude by any stretch, we'd say brave it and try something new!If you're looking for some authentic Chinese cuisine and a new experience definitely come on by and support here! The store is nice and clean and modern. The food is tasty, and the selection is huge with all things rice noodle. It's a unique experience for those who haven't had it and it's amazing that we have such an authentic taste in Pittsburgh! If you're craving any boba teas they have a large selection as well! Definitely stop by in the winter to warm your soul :)Thank you so much for reading, stay safe and well out there. Thanks for being...YOU! :)"

Which got me in the mood for some ramen when I visited for a business trip in late January. I was a bit skeptical when I walked in because it was dead inside and the menu was written on a white board, but I actually ended up being pleasantly surprised. I started with a seaweed salad, which was pretty run of the mill. For my entree, I ordered the seafood spicy miso ramen. It was presented beautifully. The broth was well seasoned and soothed my soul with its warmth. There was a decent amount of noodles and seafood (scallops and shrimp) for the price of $15. I did think the shrimp was a touch overcooked though. When I return to the area, I would be interested to give their sushi a try as they have a pretty extensive menu despite the location being relatively small."

You can access it either through the mall itself or from the outside (drive to the back of the mall, their door is located to the right of the mall back entrance but is unmarked).I honestly didn't expect much, but my Mom had been there with friends and wanted me to try it. The interior is well decorated and very clean. Our server couldn't have been nicer. We ordered breakfast sandwiches which were served quickly, hot, and were large. They were also delicious. The coffee is some of the best I've had at a restaurant in recent months (thank you!). We were very pleased with our meals and plan to return often. Was so excited for this to open up after finding the news about it and being from California which has all the better boba spots. The store was super newly remodeled, clean, and spacious with a few tables to enjoy your boba, study, or socialize. There is a self-ordering Kiosk machine as well as the front register to order your drinks. The workers were super friendly and gave opportunities to let them know if your drink does not taste satisfying and they will remake it for you. My friend and I ordered the Brown Sugar Milk Tea w/ boba and Mango slush w/ white pearls. The boba was definitely made well, satisfying my boba cravings. Will definitely be coming here often!"

Sakura Poke

Sakura Poke

Tyler K. "This place is pretty interesting. I've ordered delivery from Sakura a couple times but haven't gone to the restaurant itself. As a restaurant for delivery it's one of your better options. The best place for delivery is JJ Poke, but they are not open on Saturdays (they received a 5 star from me around a year ago but I have seen some minor quality issues recently), so a restaurant needs to fill the void for my Saturday sushi cravings. Out of the options for delivery, Sakura Poke is one of the better ones. Better quality than somewhere like Moon Sushi and Ramen, Zen Asian Diner and Maya Sushi (Maya is a great restaurant for dining in, but prices there are expensive - especially for delivery). The real competitors in this space are Diners 2+1 and Mount Everest which are regarded as some of the best sushi restaurants by people on Yelp (you can see my profile for my picks, they are not among them). I can't comment on the service at the restaurant as I haven't been there, but it appears to be a fast casual restaurant where you order at a counter, based on the pictures.Prices at Sakura are standard for 2025, $6.50 - $9 for a basic roll, $12 for a specialty roll, their poke is a bit expensive at $15. I recommend you look at their menu online, as most noteworthy menu items have a picture associated with them. I recommend their combination options, Variety Combo especially - $16 for 20 pieces of rolls (4 5-piece rolls), most of their combo options are a good value for money. Based on their website, they are rolling out daily deals starting next week (January 13th), with a rotating $5 roll each day of the week (excluding weekends). In regards to the quality of the food, Sakura is on-par with somewhere like Diners 2+1 or Mount Everest when getting delivery. I believe Diners 2+1 is a better option when dining in, but both of these restaurants are going to be more expensive than Sakura for the average diner. The quality for Pittsburgh is average to slightly above average. In the same bracket as somewhere like Diners 2+1, Mt Everest and Pittsburgh Poke, better quality than Mad Noodles, No 1. Sushi, Moon Sushi and Ramen, Zen Asian Diner, and Kura, worse quality than Mola and JJ Poke (I have tried all of these places personally). Sakura likely deserves 3.5 stars, as it is slightly above average, though Yelp does not allow half stars for user reviews. I am giving it 4 stars due to the prices being lower than other restaurants in its quality bracket and it being one of the better options for delivery. If prices increase at Sakura after I have posted my review (at any time in the near future), you should evaluate the restaurant accordingly (which would likely result in being graded a 3 - 3.5 from me, rather than 3.5 - 4). I also grade on a bell curve, where average restaurants receive 3 stars from me, and only outstanding ones receive 5, unlike most Yelp users who give restaurants 5 stars if the restaurant lacks any glaring outstanding issues. Overall, Sakura is a good option for delivery and likely take-out, though it doesn't compete with the outstanding sushi restaurants in our city such as Mola."

Ulyana K. "This place serves both chicken and boba. I came just for the boba. They had a nice menu that seemed fairly diverse. They have all the classic bobas, like brown sugar milk tea, but also some more unique options, like those with "cheese." That's the one I ordered: iced mango green tea with cheese foam.I thought it was quite good. These cheese isn't literally cheese. It's like a foamy, slightly salty, slightly sweet topping. Nothing like mozzarella or anything like that. The tea itself was also good. It was heavily fruity, which I enjoyed. There wasn't much of a green tea flavor, though. Not too bitter or too sweet. Nicely balanced. Solid price and solid portion too. Nice chunks of mango all throughout the drink that I loved. All in all, a respectable choice for boba. I haven't tried the chicken, but perhaps I'd go back to check it out."
