"We were looking forward to some menu items we saw online but they were on a lunch menu only 1130-3:00. No big deal since one of those items we wanted happened to be a pizza which is available for lunch. They have a brick oven for their pizzas and it came out great. Salad was excellent as well. Water is from a plastic pitcher and has an off taste to it (I know, ordering water at However, our waitress was cold and uninviting. Walked away as my wife was still talking to her. We tried to look past it as she seemed to be the only one on the floor but it just completely killed the vibe for us. Payment is awkward as they hold the machine in front of you and you have to select from a 18% or so minimum tip amount, their is an option to do a "custom" tip but that just adds to the awkwardness. We joked that they must reserve their good waiting staff for the dinner menu but I don't think we'll be back to see. Such a disappointment as it looked like a fresh and new location."
"Dined and shared some brews as part of a large group. Service was fast. Beer selection was big, but not like some places where they're out of half the selections. This was the perfect array of choices for everyone. The food menu had sharable apps, a variety of hand helds, and pizza. Given the giant pizza oven that dominated the kitchen, I opted for margherita pizza plus pepperoni. Fabulous. Table mates had the cheese steak )also good) and the hot chicken sandwich (only ok). We scarfed the food down before I got pics but I did take a picture of the bridge from the very ample parking area. Highly recommend this place!"
"Stopped here on Saturday night for dinner. A newer place in town, the building looks like a new build with plenty of room to grow, an elegant lit bar, lounge area for those who are waiting in the back, and open ceilings. We sat near the window and waited for service for quite awhile until a manager (hat, glasses, tie) came over and apologized and sent a waitress to us.We ordered a margherita flatbread to share as an appetizer. This was good - I would have liked to have more basil on the top - whether more of the chopped or whole leaves. This really adds to the margherita style of pizza. Overall good - and highly quality cheese. I ordered the cacio de Pepe for my entree which comes with a house salad. The salad dressing was good - a light dressing and the lettuce had almonds and cranberries on it. The cacio de Pepe was very good - the pasta was cooked properly and the flavor was on-point. Very good take on an often-overlooked dish. For dessert, I ordered the blackberry cheesecake - which was good, but the bottom crust was way too thick and was hard to cut with the spoon even with me applying all the pressure I could. The waitress ended up taking the pizza off the bill for our wait at the beginning. She was attentive but there were some lulls in service where we could have kept the meal moving and cleared the table quicker for their benefit. Good place - worth a try!"

First time stopping in at the North Hills location. Great view of the brewing tanks right when you walk in. I ordered the crab rangoon nachos and a Coughlin burger. The nachos were great, coming with a mound of cream cheese filling sitting overtop of the imitation crab. The wonton chips were a little too brittle to scoop the filling up but definitely add to the dish. The burger came out in a smoked glass cloche, and while I'm usually not a fan of smoky burgers, the taste was subtle. The service was on the slower side, but overall, we'll definitely be coming back

This was a nice brewery. I tried a flight of Coastline sunrise, cryo fix, rt. 113, and another IPA I can't remember the name of. The IPAs were all pretty good. It was really busy inside, but we still got a seat pretty quickly! They had a couple of games to play (shuffleboard and corn hole) but there were a lot of people already playing. Overall it was a nice experience and I'd come back.

The Charming Ambiance Lifestyle Altus is an absolute gem! Tucked away in Altoona, this trendy spot instantly captivates with its cute decor. The little lamps casting a warm glow, the vibrant green accents--it's like stepping into a stylish oasis. And let's not forget the playful touch: they serve popcorn as a munchie to kick off your visit. It's a cozy place, perfect for intimate gatherings or lively parties. Just be mindful of the blowers if you're sensitive to cold--I learned that firsthand!Culinary Delights Our culinary adventure began with a shared flatbread that left us craving more. But it was the salad that surprised me--I usually stick to the basics, but this one had me hooked. And that pink drink? Divine! Even though its name escapes me, the flavor lingers. Now, let's talk about the vodka penne with chicken--it hit the spot and made for a delightful next-day lunch. The service had a few hiccups, but the staff's kindness and adjustments more than made up for it.A Promising Future Lifestyle Altus is a newcomer, but it feels like it's here to stay. With a sister restaurant in Bedford, PA, their commitment to quality shines through. And the dessert? Light, refreshing, and the perfect ending to a memorable meal. Altoona is lucky to have this gem, and I can't wait to return.Note: Unfortunately, I couldn't recall the pink drink's name, but the attached menu photo might jog your memory!

This place is getting a 5 because of the vibes. I loved loved loved going here for college nights. $6 liters of their biers, live music (that is pretty loud$, people getting trashed clanking steins, and just overall a fun time. In the summer they have a bunch of tables outside as well that's great to sit at for an hour or two by the river on the trailsThe food itself is pretty solid as well honestly. They have all traditional German food as you'd expect and some healthy less hearty options if you're not trying to have the traditional comfort styleThe brauts are always BOMB, salmon I had once was cooked nice, pretzels slap, potato pancakes solid, and those creme puffs... don't leave without oneServers are always nice and wear the Dirndls for the vibes

Short review as we only experienced Church Brew Works for one beer, but we had a great time! We stopped in on a Saturday night around 6:30 ish. It's a big restaurant/brewery and it was packed! I heard the host citing a wait of 45 min to an hour. We were just there for a drink so we were able to snag one seat at the bar.We enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant and the beer was tasty. My husband got a mango beer and I got the Mexicali beer.

"This place is so much fun. The food is amazing and the beer is great. We have always had a great time with the staff. Dancing and singing with them. It is so much fun"
"This setting is superb. What a beautiful church. There are brewing cylinders on one side and magnificent stained glass windows. The place is clean and the service was really friendly. We had a great guy coming to check on us at regular intervals, checking to see if allwas okay, and refilling our water. The food was okay. I had the Philly steak sandwich. The meat was not very tender, and the taste was somewhat old. It might've been the fact that had been used. I did not really enjoy my meal too much, however, everyone else in my team seem to enjoy their food. Overall, it is a fun place to go with a great setting"
