"First timer review. Southern Tier is located in the north shore between PNC park and Heinz Field (sorry - it will always be Heinz to me). Street parking but stadium lot are around if you go on a busier night. Our waitress seemed a little annoyed at first but was very friendly by the time we got our beers and ordered some apps - hey everyone has a bad min/day right. She kept coming around to make sure we were ok which we appreciated.First - check out there web site .. they have fun activities they do .. puzzle night- bar bingo ( which is what we wanted to do but go cancelled - still had a nice night)! It was a Tuesday .. 1/2 price app night .. so we got Raspberry ales, jalepeno popper dip (so forgot pic) and pulled pork nachos. Beer was outstanding and hit the spot. Food was good.. came out quick! Def plan on going back."
"Stopped today with a large group in between youth basketball games. The coach did call ahead, and they were able to accommodate about 30 of us with about an hour's notice. The place was incredibly clean, open, & inviting. The hostess & the waitresses were very friendly & extremely patient with our large group. We felt very relaxed and were served in a timely manner. The wife & I split a pizza with peppered bacon/roasted red peppers & some potato wedges. Both were fantastic. One kid had chicken fritters, and the ither had cheese pizza. They were both happy & full! The potato wedges were seasoned perfectly & rater large. The pizza had fantastic sauce and doughy thin perf3ct crust.Others in the party got a steak salad (maybe the Pittsburgh salad?) & mac n' cheese that looked incredible. We will definitely be back, I want to dive into the beer selection & try out a burger and/or ribs.It felt immediately comfortable even though we had never been there.I felt like the prices were reasonable for the amount & quality of the food."
"I don't like beer but I love their Coltivare Italian Pilsner. Cold and delicious. With their smashed burger and fries , I can't be better."
"Penn Brewery traces its origins back to 1848 when German families operated breweries here. The current business began to brew craft beer in 1986, but some of the original buildings remain and are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.I never drink beer, so I unfortunately cannot review Penn Brewery's beers. Sorry! Instead, I visited Penn Brewery because they also have a restaurant. My husband and I arrived at noon on a Saturday, and we parked our vehicle in a free on-site garage. We felt unsure of where to walk, but we found our way to the front entrance of the restaurant by walking down steps, past stone caves, and up other steps.Penn Brewery's website says that reservations for the restaurant are strongly suggested, but many tables were available during our lunch, so I assume that reservations would be needed instead for a Friday night or Saturday night. Our waitress spoke to us very courteously. She accidentally gave me an outdated menu, so I ordered food that is no longer offered and then had to choose a different food from a new menu. I saw the new menu briefly, but I remember reading about appetizers such as pierogies, poutine, truffle fries, salads, Hungarian goulash, and wings and entrees such as sausage, salmon, and cajun pasta. Prices were moderate. The waitress and another employee brought out our foods after short waits. My husband and I rate the pretzels with cheese and mustard as 5 stars, the potato pancakes with applesauce and sour cream as 3.5 stars, the wienerschnitzel (fried pork sandwich) as 3 stars, the mashed potatoes with gravy as 5 stars, the cod sandwich as 3 stars, the German potato salad as 5 stars, and the apple strudel as 5 stars. Please visit Penn Brewery's website for information about their public events and private parties."
"We were exploring the strip district and stumbled upon this location. Let me begin by saying it is incredibly large, and there are plenty of spots for people to hang out, enjoy some beverages, and play games. If you have a large group, this is the perfect place for you to bring them! They offer a huge selection of beers as well as seltzers and sours. They also have a pretty extensive menus so it's a great place where you can grab beer and food. My husband had the Cinderfest (they are Oktoberfest style beer). He really enjoyed it and loved that it was easy drinking. I started with a flight and was able to sample several different ones but by far my favorite became the black and yellow yinzerade. There is a parking garage that is located literally like right behind them or right beside them so it's perfect. As parking can be very tight from a street parking perspective."
"So many burgers, beer, and good vibes. I ordered the mini smash Oakland with fries. My husband ordered the Korean fries chicken with fries and a side order of mac n cheese. We had an array of beers. Everything was amazing. If you go, be sure to ask for Jen. She was our bartender and she's the best."
"A microbrew in the heart of Jackson Township and a great stop for quality beer!! The beer brings back memories from my time living in Europe and I guarantee that you won't find better anywhere else locally. In addition to the amazing beer, they have a decent selection of appetizers and flat breads if you are hungry. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about beers and the process. One thing that annoys me when going into a craft beer bar is the staff not knowing about the intricacies of the different selections. But that was not the case here, they explained in detail the different brews. They also have a pretty nice patio out front so you can enjoy your beer and food outside. I highly recommend them and would give 6 stars if Yelp allowed."

Had a wonderful outing with two friends for dinner and Scott Blasey's performance tonight.i highly recommend the Plain Ole Burger with Applewood Smoked Bacon!!!! I substituted the Over Roasted Brussel Sprouts for the chips as a healthier option...DO NOT order these...left a terrible taste in my mouth and i could not figure out what kind of dressing or seasonings were on this side item...very grossThe White Grape Peach Sangria was very enjoyable as well.

Chili & cheese hot dogs with jalapeños, with fries is the bomb. They were are so good! You get 2 big dogs for like $11. I like their burgers of course, but the chili cheese dogs are a yummy change. Plus they go good with beer. They have outdoor seating too. And pup friendly patio area.

So this place was good if you're into carbs, more carbs, a side of carbs and wash it down with some beer (carbs).I really wanted authentic pierogis and spaetzel (never had it before). We wanted beer (Pittsburgh is a craft beer town for sure). Penn Brewery made the cut!First, I was confused by the parking situation here. There are spots across the street, but it was a Sunday and it looks like you can't park there during the week or during work hours. When I asked about it, the staff seemed nonplussed. I'm from NYC, we walk everywhere so parking is an after thought usually. But HELLO this is Pennsylvania. Everyone drives here. Give us a clear picture of the parking situation. The staff wasn't all that friendly. We got our food and beverage just fine. Admittedly we were there about two hours before close on a Sunday. But like, I dunno. Fake it? Not my fault you don't like your job. The food was a'ight. The real selling point was the beer, we had the Hefeweizen. Which was pretty fab. We decided to go for the gusto and get basically everything that a Biergarten would be known for (lol): pierogi, spaetzel, schnitzel! I was not impressed. The spaetzel was very bland, the pierogi were okay (in a town known for Eastern European food, they should have been fantastic). The schnitzel IMO was very dry, bland. Again, everything was just okay. If the service was better, we may have given it another try by the time we return. It wasn't terrible. That's all I got.

What a lovely way to ring in the new year. Spending it for their Hair of the Hog event was a great choice. The ticket included a beautifully curiated menu of a WHOLE HOG BBQ, smoked meats, New Orleans BBQ shrimp , roasted veggies, twice baked potatoes, cornbread and more! My favorite was probably the campfire mushrooms -they were seriously so good. I paired Czech Them Buns, Czech 10° pale lager, 4.3% with my meal and finished with Squish Ink, Black IPA, 6.9%. All this PLUS music by @epicastnetwork This was a great event-but I always love this spot for their great beer, delicious and affordable food, and fun events. I particularly like their shuffle board and bocce downstairs and nice outdoor patio upstairs in the summer.

Royal Docks is a successful brewery. It's located in Jackson Township close to Canton. They have so many beers on tap. All of these are good. They also have a small food menu. All the beer that I've tried is good. It has a variety of styles. They have some very hoppy and some are sweet. A sweet one is the Crime Of Passionfruit. It's about $5 for a pint. This is kind of like mixing beer and juice, it's too sweet. As for the food, it's not bad. The food is an afterthought, it seems. It just takes so long to order anything. They will take forever to make it, so only order if you have plenty of time. Beer is the important thing here. It's good. Just get that.

Window seat cannot be beat! Service was a bit slow but with the Applefest going on, it was expected. I only ordered a hard seltzer and a pretzel but the people watching was on point! Great location, great atmosphere. My blueberry cider was perfect, not too sweet, not too tart. There were two different types of pretzels, I think the menu could have been more descriptive. One was a Fried Pub Pretzel and the other was Wood Fired. I asked the waitress for the difference and her only explanation was that the Wood Fired one was really popular - that's the one I went with. The dough was soft and tender but I didn't like it, it had like a sweet glaze on it that was weird with the beer cheese it was served with. Overall would be a good spot to hang out in when the weather is nice.

"20240802193020-30 wait, paged when ready. Hopping, busy place. The ladies are jump'n, drinks are flowing and the peeps are jawing in this rustic, loud music playing place located right near French Creek and the Allegheny River. The food is large and delicious. The nachos are smothered in cheese, pulled pork, etc. Then there's the golden, crispy pretzel. The Tavern Sandwich with brisket, provolone cheese in Texas Toast with green beans, also a winner. Dive in."
"I'd Never heard of Lincoln Avenue Brewery, until I attended an event recently. From the moment I walked in, it was as if I was in an episode of "Cheers;" or what I assume the show is like I've never watched it . The point is, it was better than anything I could've assumed it would be like. Grant, Lisa, and the staff were very personable and make you feel welcome from the first step inside. I gotta be honest, I'm not a beer drinker. "So why did you go?" Why not? Experiencing new things lead to discovery. I tried the Lincoln Avenue Aye Matey area salt/lime gosey, bulldog dipa, ESB, and the mead. All solid beers, but I can't get over how delicious the sour was. I'm normally not one to like like any lemon/ lime flavored things because they usually taste artificial. However, the sour was so natural and refreshing. Definitely made me more curious about exploring sours. While the beers were noteworthy, and the chicken Caesar wrap was delicious, it is the pickle dip I keep telling everyone about. I got a mouth-watering flavor that made me feel ready to party. I took some of the dip with me and I wish I had taken more. Does anyone know if they sell a jar of this? I want to buy some to bring to share at parties!!I definitely plan to return! I'm currently trying to vet the people that can hang and will mesh well with the laid back vibe. Or maybe I'll just return on my own. Either way, stop reading this and go check this little gem out!"
"Saturday August 15th, 2020, Tony and I had dinner to celebrate his 58th birthday. The restaurant was decorated so lovely. The staff was very friendly.Tony ordered Steak with mushrooms and onions with loaded baked potatoes. I tried to get him to order some dessert but he got a few extra beers instead...lolI went with the Grilled Blackened Fish Tacos with a Cherry & Lime Pepsi. The food was DeliciousThe waitress very nice & attentivePrices great and decor relaxingHighly recommend and we can't wait to go back when in the area."
"First time trying! We ordered a three pizzas tonight for dinner .. the staff was very friendly both on the phone as well as when we got there for the pick up. I got the last of the dough tonight - so sorry for those that tried to get a pizza tonight and couldn't ;)Parking - they have a curbside spot if you order online ... the also have a nice size parking lot... plenty of parking!Food - our pizzas we delicious and cooked perfectly! Will definitely have to try dinners though next time we go. Drinks. Have to say the growlers looked interesting- we will have to try another night."
"Love the vibes here love the drinks and the live music. The only thing I will say is if you are ordering hot wings just know it is not your traditional hot. There is a dry rub before the hot sauce and it may be hotter than most would like. Otherwise everything is charming!"
"We've been coming to Stonebridge for the last year. The food is always excellent, beers are great, and the staff is extremely friendly. If you are looking for a break from your average Johnstown bar food this is the place to go!"
"Bloom Brew and the Yough are an amazing combination! The owners are super amazing and always are brewing up something new and exciting! My favorites have been the hot chilli pepper beers, Jeffeweisen, and Peach Buzz. Because they have such a great variety I love sampling all the new beers each time I go - but often return to my favorites to fill my Bloom Brew Howlers. I take all my friends to Bloom Brew when they are in town, and everyone has found something they love. From the light beers to a heavy stout they always have enough on tap to please every beer drinker.Anyone traveling on the GAP trail or the Yough river should take a short detour to sample some brews and take some for the road!"
"20/10 service was amazing. We were greeted by Nancy the bartender. She was friendly & informative. Had me sample a beer I didn't put in my flight and ended up going home with a 6 pack. We're from out of town and had our pups with us. They were dog friendly inside! Beer was good too!"
"Wow. Great people who work there and the drinks are wonderful!!! For Valentine's Day the Chocolate Covered Strawberry cocktail is AWESOME!!! So fresh and good!!! The Voodoo tots and pub pretzel are soooooo good!!!! Clean and comfortable place!!! I wish they would bring the muffaletta back. We lived in Louisiana and I miss that giant bread sandwich with olives!!!!! Great place!!!!!!"
