"Pies are delicious. You have to try their beef sticks. They are so lean and tasty. We stocked up on all the different varieties of cookies. We like that the soups are all natural with no preservatives."
"Fantastic treats!!! There are tables and chairs if you want to sit downor you can take out. We decided to take out. It was very hard to determine what to buy because there were so many great treats, everything from creampuffs to brownies to many fruit pies! It was tremendous. My friend ordered lady locks which were phyllo dough baked and white cream inside. I had a rolled cinnamon dough pastry. My guy had the same. The thing I really wanted though, was the red velvet devil dog. However, I knew better and stayed away from that because I would guarantee I will be eating more than one! Never a good thing! But I bet you it was fantastic as everything else was in this fabulous little bakery. They also had gingerbread cookies which I thought were really decorated perfectly! Definitely stop in the shop and pick up a sweet treat next time you're in this area. Great job gingerbread house!"

"I was there last week and was blown away by the friendliness and aroma and visuals. My friends loved the baked goods and I saved a bacon chive scone for myself. Well update: the scone was incredible. I'm not a scone girl but this savory masterpiece has been thinking of going again soon. The scone was so good, I heated mine in the microwave for thirty seconds and it was heaven. I mean seriously, so much so I had to write another review just to shout it from the roof top. The scone has bacon and chives and it light but filling. If you have someone in your life that likes a savory bfast, go now."
"Love having a new cafe to turn to when I am craving quality baked goods and a French inspired lunch. Quiche, soups, sandwiches, and much more. I love the transformation of this space that once housed Invisible Man Brewery, which moved to another location. The setting is very spacious, relaxing, and classy. Overall, the mood of staff and the environment was upbeat and positive."
"Tried the chocolate napoleon. Very good, flaky but just way too chocolaty sweet. And mind you, I love me some good chocolate."
"Great small local bakery with great breads and sandwiches on selected days of the week. Check out their menu and call ahead if you can place is family owned and very small. Have tried just about all their breads and they all show that this place is at the top of their game."
"Cute set-up and is located inside a gorgeous Victorian home. This was my first visit to the bakery, and honestly, I didn't even realize it was located at this address. I was in the area for a community event and was walking past and saw their signage. There was a nice assortment of cookies, cupcakes, scones, and a few other items. Everything was nicely displayed but did not include any pricing from what I could tell. I purchased a few things to try since there was a 10.00 minimum purchase if using a card. Next time I stop, I will allow some extra time to sit and enjoy my treats outdoors on the lovely covered porch."
"Best Custard! Nice staff! Cool rustic home decorations and candles for sell too. Front porch with rocking chairs and and bench seating to enjoy your treats."
"Are you a fan of traditional deli's? Well, here's one you MUST check out. Couple weeks ago, I stopped in during a work trip and I was in love with this absolutely super cute spot. They have some of the BEST meats. From fully loaded salads to wholesome sandwiches/wraps to easily the best cannoli I've had, you will truly enjoy your lunch. They're really a friendly group and I would highly recommend checking out their Washington/Canonsburg location! : Bollywood salad, The Chelsea, The Marco and a chocolate cannoli!"
"Such a cute little bakery. Everyone was so friendly. I was there during Dia de Los Muertos(Day of the dead) and they had the cutest Disney's Coco themed Ofrenda set up. They also have maybe the best churros I've ever had. I highly recommend checking this fantastic bakery out."
"Incredible talented bakers. We had the best cupcakes for my boyfriends daughters 16th birthday party. Ingredients were fresh, the flexibility on design and creation was perfectly curated to execution. The ordering process was simple by online or even calling for specific details. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable and creating the best cupcake experience."
"Hello my dear earthlings, I would like to bring your esteemed attention to this French bakery in PA. I have had French pastries before but this is so far the best I had. My brother introduced this gem and whenever I visit him, this is my first stop. The staff is always very welcoming and friendly to have us there. All their pastries and croissants are so fresh and ready to go. It always smells heavenly inside this store and there is always a line to get their hands on these. So make sure to get there as early as possible. Our all time favorites are the Choco Almond croissant (Croissant aux amandes), Madeleine, and many others that I dont recall the names. If you are in the area and want some sweet treat, this is your place."

My husband and I were visiting a holiday craft fair in Washington county when we stumbled upon this bake shop selling their wares. They had many sweet loaves. breads, and pastries to choose from but what caught my eye was a gingerbread man cookie. Not too often during the holiday season am I ever able to find gingerbread men but as the name of the business states how can it be a a gingerbread house without a gingerbread man?The cookies were thickly sealed in plastic wrap not only to prevent spoiling but to stay in line with Co-Vid 19 guidelines. I bought one cookie and my husband settled for a iced pumpkin sugar cookie. We brought them home and had them for dessert. Both of them were very good. We don't often get to West Newton but were glad we had an opportunity to try out this bakery. Located at 107 S 2nd St, West Newton, PA

First time stopping in this cute little bakery but definitely won't be the last! What we noticed first was the delicious smell of freshly baked goods. We gained ten pounds just breathing in the deliciousness. The second thing was the cleanliness of the little shop. We bought some cookies and cupcakes and they did not disappoint!!! The Ho-Ho cupcake was so good-the buttercream and the ganache on top was the best I've had. The cupcake itself was very tasty-and more "full bodied" texture-dense and flavorful. The cookies-the brown sugar in particular-were delicious and chewy. The little lady that waited on us was very kind and helpful. This is a nice addition to the Carnegie area and we wish them the best with their lovely business!

I had the smoked salmon and cream cheese on a baguette. It was delicious and a huge portion. I definitely will drive from Ligonier to Greensburg to eat lunch anytime. For dessert I had a fresh berry tart that was fantastic!

My first 2023 visit, but always nice to go back to a REAL old school bakery. They are far & few between these days. You'll find tons of cookies, cupcakes, turnovers, danishes, cakes here. Great holiday selection. It's very small inside, fitting maybe 6-8 patrons at a time so the line can be out the door when busy. I stopped on Valentine's Day & got some beautifully decorated sugar cookies, chocolate covered Rice Crispy treats & an apple & cherry turnover. All fresh & delish. Free parking on street.

"This is Pittsburgh best kept secret. It's down under a church of epiphany in the hill district. Yinz offer coffee, bake goods and food and free wifi. Nice atmosphere and All the employees that work there our awesome.Hope this place stays open for all!!"
"Solid pizza at a fair price. Fruit pies were also good ! Would definitely return if I were in the area!"
"I have always seen the sign for this place but have never stopped in so when I went to pick up my pie kit for an event I was pleasantly surprised to see how big it actually was inside and the variety of items (besides pie) that you could get here! Of course I had to pick up a couple of extra goodies that caught my eye while I was there. I loved that they had mini tarts versions of their pies so you could do your own taste test before you committed to a whole pie. Happy that they also serve up coffee drinks which is perfect since they go hand and hand with pastries. I will definitely be back! The pie place makes these great kits that give you everything pre-prepped and ready to put together and bake your own pies. Update on the apple pie kit I made for the Yelp event - I brought it to work and they guys crushed it in 20 minutes - it was delicious! I will definitely pick that up again it was awesome!"
"I usually buy sweets here about twice a month. Very tasty, usually pick the maple star, lady locks or fruit pie. Once in a while it seems the pastries are a bit stale, not sure why if they're baked fresh daily?? Still good though."
"Mami's bakes is owned and run by Noel M who operates it out of his own home. All baked goods are vegan and gluten free. Normally you order online and then set a pickup time at his house on the weekend. I was fortunate to run into Mami's bakes at the Carnegie Farmer's market where he had a booth set up.I liked being able to see his collection of sweets in person. For the holidays he has created different "baked pies" that contain apples, pumpkin, pears, and tofu. All items are made without preservatives meaning you must consume them within 1-2 days or otherwise freeze themI had previously had his vegan brownie which was outstanding so this visit I purchased a chocolate chip pumpkin bread, a Cuban coffee cake, and two fried pies. Since my son is vegan I normally buy for him so he can enjoy these treats however, I got the pumpkin bread for myself. The pumpkin bread was sealed with a food sealer so when I got it home I dove into it. You can taste the chocolate chips in it and the bread is so soft and so moist that you would hardly know it was vegan. My son previously had one of Noel's buckeye brownies and a Chai cupcake. He thoroughly enjoyed them.In a city where there is little vegan places Mami's bakes certainly fills the bill here. Noel has been to Vegfest to promote his baked goods. I've been thoroughly pleased with my purchases up to now and am looking forward to seeing his Christmas offerings. Mami's bakes has an online ordering sit where you can place your food orders. The business home is located in Carnegie.Noel does take the time to answer any questions and provide you with guidance as to storage and reheating his baked goods."
"What a wonderful shop full of amazing pastries. The sheer variety of pastries and cookies and cakes is amazing. We got there 10minutes prior to it opening and there was a short line already. The staff were friendly and fast and we all got our gifts plus a few we might not have expected."
"Wow- amazing. I understand the hype. I got the "snickerdoodle cupcake" cookie which was a snickerdoodle (obviously lol) with icing similar to a cinnamon roll and then topped with cinnamon. It was served warm & amazing. I paired it with Turners chocolate milk. My husband couldn't decide but eventually got the orange creamsicle. It was served cold but like very cold. He didn't have the same "wow factor" reaction I did and I asked what's wrong. He said the cookie was too cold/hard. I get it- it is suppose to resemble an ice cream bar. He tried mine and loved it. Later on that evening after his cookie was normal temp he loved it and gave it a 4 out of 10. We loved this place. Great place to go on a date or with a group of friends. Don't experience this deliciousness alone. Great cookies. Great marketing technique (only 6 cookies at a time and rotating weekly). Keeps the customer on their toes and keeps the customer checking their website / social media often. Also, for example, I loved the snickerdoodle but it won't be there next week. I'll def be back when it's back- genius marketing I'll be back before then - lol- just giving an example"
"What a great family and homemade food spot! We arrived during a busy holiday morning breakfast rush and opted to sit outside - so we had a bit of a wait. No problem!! There is a cute gift shop and general store attached. We quickly spent our 15 minute wait browsing some great items!Once we were seated our server was fast and attentive. Coffee was delicious and refilled often. Food came quickly and was excellent - lots of choices all fresh and homemade! The bread....OMG the bread!! Get the breads! I had rye and it was fantastic. My companion and I each had large breakfasts and coffee. We left full and happy - for under $15! Service was on point and the restaurant was immaculately clean."
"Outstanding variety of unique and delicious pastries! Support local or come on over from anywhere in Pittsburgh...worth it!"
"Phenomenal artistry and competitive prices. Megan made my daughter's 1st birthday/baptism cake and we could not have been happier! Highly recommend!"
"It's true that Party Cake Bakery changed ownership a year or so ago. The new owners are doing their best to keep this landmark business operating. I know they, like many other small businesses have had staffing problems. At one point the head baker left and the replacement left a lot to be desired. Rather than increase prices the owners reduced the size of the servings .. this was a mistake that they have since corrected. I have been stopping often to buy breads, donuts, cookies and danish pastries and they were back to the size and taste I grew up with. I suggest giving them another chance. Staffing is still an issue so call ahead to make sure they are open when you wish to come by."
"This little donut shop has been a family favorite for decades! My family used to go here every Sunday after church and we all had our favorites. For my sister and my dad, it had to be the long johns... Cream filled of course! When I was a kid I really enjoyed the cinnamon buns and the "long glazed twist." My sister would probably say that my taste became more refined as an adult because I'm now a convert to the long John worship. Every time we come home we have to stop in here. The long Johns are just perfect... The cream inside is light and fluffy, and the chocolate layer is just thick enough to not overpower the taste of the donut. No matter what kind you choose, you can always expect one thing from this place -- they will be so fresh! This place is been around a long time... And has even survived the addition of another donut shop in the area because it's just simply the best! Definitely check this place out as soon as possible... you'll be VERY glad you did!"
"I've been coming here every time I visit since I was a kid. I'm obsessed with their pierogis, devil dogs, bread, and pretty much anything they are selling in his place. We don't have bakery's in Florida but I always make a point to visit here when in in town. Cash only!"
"Delicious! Some of the best chocolate chip cookies I ever had! They add sea salt which is soo good A small bakery. Kind workers, their rule is one at a time because of covid. Masks required as well. We got 3 different kinds of cookies and a chocolate lava cake! Can't wait to try the lava cake- everything else was delicious"
"I placed a carry out order and was told that it would be ready in 30 minutes. I showed up exactly 30 minutes after getting off the phone, and I was told my food wasn't ready yet. It took an extra 10 minutes after I had arrived on time.. I noticed that the staff were all wearing masks even though the mask mandate is over, which I was glad to see because most of the people working there were very young and probably not vaccinated. My entrée came with a side of pasta, and the sauce reminded me of the sauce you get at church spaghetti dinners. With this being an Italian restaurant that has a chef on staff, I was expecting a red sauce that would be more tasty. If I had to take a guess, I'd say they use those gallon cans of tomato sauce as a base. Perhaps I'm a little bit more picky than most about my red sauce because my mother always made homemade sauce from tomatoes that she canned from her garden. I just wasn't impressed with the red sauce, and the entrée was mediocre."
"I have had two experiences with Le Cupcake Shoppe. One is their delicious mini gluten free cupcakes. Thank you for making them an option! I can't wait to see if they do more GF options in the future (wink wink) and two I ordered hot chocolate bombs for Christmas for family.I actually did the whole process on instagram if you can believe it! The owner seems to be the most communicative on that platform. She answered me right away with any questions I had and once I was ready I just paid via venmo. The process was surprisingly super simple. The pick-up process is curbside only right now. I tried to call when I showed up and no one answered so I just went up and knocked on the door. The owner peeked her head out and then quickly brought out all the hot chocolate bombs. The hot chocolate bombs themselves were very good! You can honestly tell the chocolate is good quality. You just pour hot milk over it and the bomb pops open to release marshmallows. So fun! It was rich and flavorful and I'm already thinking of when I'm going to order more!"
"I almost didn't see the cinnamon roll, which would have been tragic! This is a fantastic, veteran-owned business. Will be a regular stop when I'm in town!"
"Super cute store! First time stopping in on a Saturday and there were many options to choose from. Place was clean, welcoming, & staff was friendly! Huge Donut assortment! Everything was wonderful! Brownies & donuts are huge in size!"
"Everything was absolutely delicious!! We had linguini with clams, the crab cakes, and the fish. Blueberry cobbler and, strawberry pretzel cheesecake. And... they know how to do a fantastic dirty martini!"
"This place is a must try. There are a ton of great doughnuts to choose from. They make them fresh and have a great rotation from week to week. They taste amazing. They also have other pastries that are great as well. My family loves visiting here. Not only for the treats but also the people. The people that work there are so nice and welcoming. There are many options to choose from, not just doughnuts. Also, Linda's is very affordable. I will definitely be back. Extra note (from my 9 year old) : these are the best doughnuts! They taste so good. Especially the Fruity pebbles.l one."
"What's better then a nice fresh donut? Not much right?Head over to Dana's They have mostly raised donut varieties with glaze as well as maple frosting , chocolate sprinkles etcSo sweet and yummyGreat homemade cookiesChocolate chip with nuts is my favorite Dana's also has pies I saw fruit as well as sweet potato That's for my next visit Nice clean shop super friendly service Fantastic prices I mean really .30 cents for a nice size cookie how can you go wrong? You can't so go get a donut and or cookies to enjoy Easy street parking"
"Stopped in this past week to pick out some pastries for a family member's birthday. Lagerhaus have a pretty good number of baked goods to offer including various cakes, a brownie, and cupcakes and breads. We picked out four different items (I can't remember exactly what anymore) and then got a hot chocolate too. The employee taking our order was friendly and gave good recommendations and the atmosphere in this shop feels warm and like a throwback to an earlier era. I think we'd definitely come back again to try a few more of the offerings."
"Best farmer's market in the valley! Their donuts alone should be enough to qualify them as a UNESCO World Heritage Site"
