Brose's Superette

The best butcher shop in Butler for decades. I recommend the ham loaf or hot sausage.

I am new to the area, but live within a mile of Brose's Superette. I stopped in to look around and was amazed at everything they carried. From the convenience and price of their fresh butcher shop, to the eager and very helpful staff. They carried everything from wedding soup to ice cream, to veggies to milk. I asked Shelly if they carried small pepperoni sticks, and she said they only carried the bigger sandwich sticks, but her delivery person was coming later that day and she'd ask if they carried what I was looking for. She took my number and a couple hours later called to say she had got some in. Come by for the friendliness and convenience, you won't be disappointed. I recommend Brose's Superette and will be bac.

Great place!A step back in time that you're going to love. I just bought ten pounds of their roast beef for French dip sandwiches and philly cheese steaks. Amazing, just like my dad used to,make when I was a kid growing up in the other side of town. I bought a ham loaf and it was great also. I recommend this place for fresh reasonably priced meets and lots of other items to fill your basket. give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Many locals swear by their ham loaf, but I'm not a fan. This place is run-down and lackluster. Like Forrest Gump says, "you never know what you're going to get." Their butchered meats are consistently fresh and you won't find a better cubed-steak, but the shelves are often empty, the service is not always friendly, the prepared foods have an inconsistent quality and the prices on many things are just too high.

This is the best place to get your meats and cheeses in Butler, hands down. They have the freshest foods and the staff is extremely friendly. The hubby and I tend to go to the regular grocery store for everything else but hold off and get all of our meats from here. It's also close to home so it's easy if you decide you want something and can just run there quick and get it. The pre-made meatloaf and hamloaf are to die for. If recommend this place to anyone!

This is THE delicatessen to go to in Butler Area! Friendly people. Local, fresh goods. Pickled eggs and ham loaf to you heart's desire. Well known in the area as the only place for meat, but it's neighborhood location obscures it from out-of-towers, of whom which, in Butler there are not many!A tradition for me since I was just a bun in the oven :)

I grew up eating ham loaves from Brose's and now my grandchildren love them as well. Every time I return to Butler from home in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, I try to stop and get one to take back and several for family in Ohio. (FYI: If it is frozen and vacuum packed when you check in on a plane, you can still get it home cold and ready to bake.) A taste from home is one of the best ways to bring back good memories.
