Brighton Hot Dog Shoppes

Make sure to INSIST that your dog is "IN A BOX"Otherwise, it will come wrapped in a SAD, WAX paper burrito. Just a cold mushy cylinder of food. ASK FOR A BOX!They're too cheap to get actual hot dog boxes (for a hot dog restaurant), so just order all dogs "IN A BOX." Even if you order just one. You DO NOT want what comes in that MUSHY wax paper..

Tasted great as it should!! But, the Chippewa and Beaver hotdogs-the actual meat taste like I would imagine dirty dishwater to taste, so I tried new brighton and it tasted really good...what's that about

For some reason I found myself over in Beaver County and feeling like breakfast would be great to grab somewhere. Had a few places in mind over in Beaver, but as I drove down through New Brighton I decided why not stop at the Hot Dog Shoppe? I was quickly greeted and offered several seats to choose from. I sat down and a moment or two later my server came over, gave me my placemat/breakfast menu and took my drink order. She was back quickly with an old school diner style coffee mug of decent brew. I ordered the Blizzard Breakfast which gave me two eggs, two sausage links and a pancake. The eggs were over easy as requested and fine. The sausage had an odd flavor to me, sort of a burnt taste but they weren't. The pancake was nothing special, but not bad. Overall the food was not wonderful but not bad. For $6.49 it was certainly cheap. The staff however are quite pleasant which makes the experience better.

If you're looking for a filling, inexpensive yet tasty meal full of comfort food then you're in luck because Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe has exactly that. All your basic hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, fries and milkshakes are featured here and served in an old school, diner-type of atmosphere. The building itself looked like it could have been an old train station many years ago. You order your food at the counter and a server brings everything out to you. Our server checked on us a few times and everything in the restaurant was very clean. Things may look old but they are clean, which I appreciate! Will definitely be back as my kiddos and husband love it!

Live out of town so we like to get hot dog shoppe when we visit. We were celebrating my daughters birthday and that's what she requested. We started at the one in Rochester but it was totally closed even though the internet said it was open. So we go to New Brighton. It's 2:40 and we were informed we couldn't eat because they were closing at 3 and they had to mop. But the dining room was still full of people. Pointed at 2 open seats at the bar for 4 people and a baby. So we ordered to go. Ordered a milkshake and right before I paid I heard the girl beside her say they didn't have any. So the cashier was mad because she had to take it off. Then the food took forever to get. Not to mention the attitude the cashier had the whole time. If you don't want to be kind. Don't work in food service.

Just had a chlii cheese dog and a small chili cheese fries for the first time in years, (since Covid). Great customer service from start to finish. First time ever at this location the waitress was helpful a d friendly. I highly recommend this location in New Brighton.Bill C.

Nice bite to eat. Fresh ingredients. Nice and accommodating staff. Only downside was the bathroom was not clean and smelled bad. I would come back again if I was in the area. Also has a drive through.

How have I not written a Hot Dog Shoppe review yet?? I grew up on this place, worked there for years, and still love the food! Seriously no matter what you order it's going to be delicious but my go to is a hotdog with everything and fries with extra cheese. You also can't go wrong with a milkshake, try the banana Oreo one, you will not be disappointed! If I could give them more than 5 stars I definitely would!!

Such a tradition in my family to go here every time we visit. The food is tasty, the chili goes on everything, and the prices are unbeatable. My last visit I got the chili dogs and chili fries. It taste like it did 20 years ago and I wouldn't change it. It is a 4 star because the inside also hasn't changed or have been updated in a long time.

I've been going here for years. They've had their ups and downs as far as service goes, but I have never had bad food from there ever. It's very consistent and still even with inflation the value cannot be beat.
