Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe

I was in a foul mood. All I knew was I wanted a hot dog. Living it Lake Milton, good luck. So tricked wifey into driving me to Brighton hot dog shop.I have been to this location once before. I really like Brighton dogs more than Jays. Any location. Cranberry. Brighton. That one where rte 51 in PA gets on the freeway. I like them all.Came to the one in Salem, 2nd time, Saturday at noon. I DID NOT know they have late breakfast on weekends. I was tempted, but here is what me and wifey ended up getting...Bowl of home made wedding soup. Hot sausage sandwich, small fries, two dogs with chili and onions.All food was hot, freshly made, and delicious. The fries kicked butt. Seriously, home made fries, that came from fresh oil and were thin cut, and crispy.Cutting this short, because, just take my word for it, the mood I was in, I would have been sorely irritated if there had been ANY issues.All food hot. Fantastic service. Not only best dog shop I have ever been in, best Brighton I have been in.Worth the drive, as Michelin guide says, worth a special trip just to eat here!Update March 8 2020. Still GREAT!

Good traditional hotdog. Had chili/onion dog with an order of fries. Felt the regular fries was a bit pricey for the portion. But would definitely return.

I love this shop for coney dogs !! But I miss the Hartville, Ohio location, which closed up a couple years ago......

Brighton isn't Skyline & it's not Goldstar, heck it's not even Jib-Jab. But, it's not bad, & if your jonesen for a cheese dog you can do worse. It's helps that they have a connected Fo-Yo shop -- GG. Heck, they sell all sorts of food: burgers, fish, chicken, salads, & etc.My only complaint is that they can be a little stingy with the cheese sauce, especially with the fries. They should have layers of cheese, rather than just throwing a small amount on top, thus leaving a fair amount of your fries without cheese.The good news is that Brighton is starting to franchise out & we do not have any hot dog shops in Alliance - HINT HINT!!

Stopped here on a whim on Sunday night and decided to drive through, I love a menu that is super simple and this one is it! You will find your "all american" classics here, chili dogs, kraut dogs, fresh cut french fries and some more, I got a french fry, a chili dog and a kraut dog, it was like less than 5 bucks, the hot dogs are small so i'd say if you are buying for a family, get one of the family packs, super affordable and something for everyone, who doesn't like a hot dog? It's definitely no A&W but neither is the drive or the prices! We will go back!

Awesome lunch spot. Very low prices. I had a loaded hot dog and a large wedding soup for about $5.The hot dog was ok, nice snap but on the small side. The soup seemed homemade and was lovely on a cold day.

2017-10-28 visit. MY visit here was good. The service was great and I gave my order and then they ask me to be seated and they would bring it out to me. They had my food to be quickly.I ordered a chili cheese dog and chili cheese fries. Everything was great except the sauce seemed water to me. wast as thick as other places and also my preference. becuase of that the taste was a little lacking. Not saying it was bad but I think could have been better. if it was thicker I probably give this place a 4 star. by the pics it seems the chili sauce should be thicker so maybe today it was a little lacking in this. I will probably re-visit this place in the future and give it another chance.

Friendly excellent service and food! Especially love when they have sausage and pepper sandwiches. Yummy conies!

I visit this place for breakfast on weekends whenever I'm in town, and I can't resist the opportunity. The staff is exceptional, always wearing a smile and being incredibly friendly. If I ever had to train a wait staff, I would bring them here to observe and learn from this remarkable team. Moreover, the food they serve is of exceptional quality and fairly priced, further enhancing the overall experience.
