Brackenridge Heights Golf Course

Back when I was a kid 50 some years ago, this was the local country club...the ritzy spot for the local upper crust. Well kept, caddies, clubhouse, pool...quite a place.It's seen far better days. My son and I went up, more from my nostalgia than anything else, wanting to hit an afternoon 9. The rough was extremely high, fairways cut but lined with clippings, tees and greens both in very bad shape. My son gave it a "generous 2" out of 10...I would not have been so generous.This place needs rescued, but it would take a great investment of money and time. Sad to see.
