Boston Beanery

Cozy vibes in this classic diner. Big portions, well-seasoned fries and tasty burgers. Recommend their fries. Service was nice, no complaints. Located next to a little goodwill-type market. Plenty of parking.

Portion size is great for price. I liked some parts of the meal. The mozzarella sticks and the onion rings were good. I liked the curly fries too. However the crab cake sandwich was alright. Coming from Maryland, I've definitely had better crab cakes but decent place for a road trip!

It took forever to get our food. People who came after us got food before. Me and a friend ordered a very simple order, (nachos, fries, and a flatbread) which still took a very long time to come out. Our waiter wasn't very friendly.The food was cheap quality and overrated. My nachos tasted awful and like fair food. The flatbread tasted like ragu sauce from a jar. It was clear they were making the food as cheap as possible. The only good thing about it was that we got seated quickly. It looked like a typical restaurant for college students who eat anything.

We had the classic burger and prime rib sandwich and were happy with both. The food came out quickly and was flavorful. The curly fries tasted a little old, but maybe they were just overcooked. Overall, it had very reasonable prices. This place seems to have a lot of regulars.

They have obviously stopped using Oliverio's peppers in their beanery beef and pepper sandwiches. Long wait for food - dishes looked dirty, but it was just their age.

I was in town visiting my sister at West Virginia University, and my family and I decided to eat here. The Boston Beanery was set up nicely, the staff was nice, but I was not wowed. The food was just typical bar/pub food and it was good but nothing spectacular. The highlight of my meal was their red sangria. It was not to sweet and not to dry, and it paired nicely with my food. We started with their nachos and they were pretty good and very filling. My mom and I ordered chicken sandwiches, my brother ordered a burger, and sister ordered a grill chicken dish. All of our food was a little dry but it still tasted good. If you go there, go hungry because they give you a lot of curly fries. The Boston Beanery is a good place to go to grab drinks with friends and to hangout. I would probably eat here again because of location, but it will not be my first choice. .

The burgers were delicious and great service! I recommend the sweet potato waffle fries! So good!

Ate here for lunch after WVU graduation. Super accommodating when we walked in with 8 people. Food was great. Gave a free class of Champagne for graduating!!
