I love this little place!!! They have so many different teas and even rare ones you can buy. They also have matcha and some coffee options with cute little trinkets, teapots, and alike things sprinkled throughout the store. The service is super nice and friendly. I will definitely be back!!!

One of the best shops on Forbes in Squirrel Hill. I also try different tea shops when I am in different cities, but this is my favorite. They have a good selection, but you can get good quality green teas without being over priced. This place allowed me to explore teas and find what I like. They also have a good selection of teas that can help for different tea explorations. Chamomile + Rose + Lavender herbal tea while eating rose and lavender macarons from Gaby et Jules is the best pairing on Forbes Ave.

Love the various selection of teas available here! You can find mostly loose leave in big or sampler size servings! They also offer cute mugs and teapots! It's like a tea heaven for even non tea lovers. Owner is so friendly and nice. Don't forget to ask her for some recommendations and pick up special blends!

This place has a LOT of amazing tea options. They're mostly loose leave but do have some bagged teas. I actually came here to get their blooming tea balls since I've heard they're gorgeous and taste really good.

Before coming here with my sister who is a regular customerWhether your preference maybe a Dark Tea, Green Tea or you're just looking for something totally different in variety that can't be found anywhere else, Blue Monkey offers the freshest & vastest variety of loose leaf teas that are of the highest quality. I happened to be new to the types of tea that were out there. The store owner Maggie was very helpful along with my sister (Catherine) who both helped me gain a knowledge of tea & gave me a idea of what would be my perfect selection. So I chose chamomile lavender & valerian as it fits my health needs & those 3 are a personal preference of mine when it comes to tea. I also purchased my snap ball tea infuser which I like for mixing my own combinations creating the most perfect teas to fit my preference. After this I have no longer purchased bagged tea at Giant Eagle or Traders Joe. I was perfectly happy with my experience here at Blue Money Tea & will be returning as shopping here is my cup of tea. I will also be considering taking her classes on tea as she seems to be very informative according to other Yelpers. Be sure to like them on FB & tell a friendhttps://www.facebook.com/TeaPittsburgh/

Looking at all the different tea shops online so I could order my loose tea, I was completely confused. I asked my friends for a recommendation and they said blue monkey tea. So I chose them put in an online order and voila, my fabulous tea showed up and it was only $5.00 shipping fee. I am enjoying my lovely jasmine tea. I would highly recommend blue monkey tea to any tea drinker out there!!

I have been patronizing this tea shop for a few years now and am so grateful for its existence in my community. Formerly Margaret's Fine Imports, Blue Monkey Tea Shop has everything you could ever ask for in this type of store. There are few places where you can choose from such a huge variety of loose leaf teas whether you're looking for traditional black tea blends like Earl grey to light floral greens like Jasmine Green to rare first flush oolongs to aged pu'er. You can find it all here along with a friendly staff to help you discover your newest favorite morning pick me up. They also sell fun items such as local honey, lemon curd, and British tea biscuits. Then there's the large array of tea infusers ranging from the adorable to refined. Truly anything you'd want to accompany your afternoon tea experience can be found here. Additionally they have a limited selection of coffees and some bulk spices. I have purchased so many gifts here and the receiver is always enchanted by the unique finds. They also offer classes on tea tasting at various levels. I was fortunate enough to take both the Level 2 class and the special Tea and Chocolate Pairing Class offered for Valentine's Day. The owner of the shop runs these classes and she is just a such a fun character who clearly knows her stuff. I recommend the classes to anyone looking for more knowledge about tea that will lead you to a deeper enjoyment of this delicious beverage. It's also a fantastic and novel way to spend a date night. I hope this place remains a staple in the neighborhood for many years to come.

Best place to buy loose leaf tea in Pittsburgh. Highly recommend the Bingo Blueberry, Green Citrus Mint and the Peach Bellini. Just picked up Diet Tea (Fast 10) to try! Want to come back and try their Yerba Mate.

Still having some time to kill before the Purim party I headed up to Margaret's fine imports teas. I saw on the door there is a 2nd location in Carnegie. When I went in I inquired about it I learned that it is open and located at 1451 Collier Ave, Carnegie. That information is always helpful for me since I live closer to that location. They were have a 20% off special on all British teas today where you purchased boxed or loose leaf. The shop also sells candy along with some of the most beautiful teapots I had ever seen along with accessories. I asked if they sell any made up and was told no because they don't have the capacity in store to do that. However, I was welcome to smell any jar I found that might interest me. They were also featuring Irish tea and fixings in honor of St. Patrick's day.I finally decided to purchase a spiced apple chai which I understand is one of their best sellers. It comes with real apple pieces in it and sells for $3.99 per 2 ounces. There is a Yelp check in offer for 20% off Sencha loose leaf green tea. The lady at the counter told me she'd have to ask Margaret but that was no longer valid. She did however, give me instructions on how much tea to use for my cup and when I got home brewed a cup. Very good indeed. I also bought a canister with a Japanese motif on it to store it.I am anxious to try the second location in the near future. Very pleased with both of my purchases.

I love to travel throughout the U.K./Europe and I love tea. In fact I always bring some home from a different country. Sometimes I'll find one that I absolutely adore and panic when close to running out. No worries because Margaret's usually has exactly what I want or something very close to it.The owner is a tea guru I tell you. Anything and everything you need to know about tea then speak with her. She'll change your tea drinking world!
