It did take me a while to get to my newer review, although I did this some time ago. Actually, I've been there several times since my 1st review. Every time, the place is friendly and clean. It is always well stocked. This review is about a specific experience. I had one of those days where I was pretty sure I didn't want to be bothered cooking for myself and my son. I typically do not buy pre made heat and eat items. In this case, I decided to check out a few ready made items. This was kind of a while back, and I can't recall exactly what I got. It was a stuffed pasta, although I couldn't be certain if it was a ravioli or an oversized tortellini. You can usually get these type of things in specific flavors, sausage and cheese being the most popular. I remember going a little crazy about the sides, getting meatballs, a lb of sweet and a lb of hot Italian sausage. I also got a jar of their signature pasta sauce. When the dinner was ready, David and I each had 3 meatballs, 3 large stuffed pasta and a generous amount of sauce. With the fresh Mancini's bread I got there, it was a full meal and then some. The only thing I did doctor up myself was the sauce, and the seasoning I added also came from this store. The Italian seasoning isn't ingredient labeled, but for a dried herb mix, it was exceptional. We never did get to having any sausage, but that worked for the next day. I'm not going to say it was cheap, but the pricing seemed reasonable. What impressed me was that the amount of food I bought somehow stretched over 3 meals for 2 hungry guys.It was more than a typical grocery store, but far below a decent restaurant. This is a great option for those looking for middle ground. The meatballs were large and well seasoned and the pasta stuffing was done well.I don't recall getting that frozen food taste you can get from most fast frozen options. The service, as always, was fast and friendly. They always seem to remember me and greet me with a smile.I like this place.

I was finally nearby for lunch and decided to stop in. The menu options included subs and soups from 10-4. There are daily specials and the Tuesday sub option was meatball, a bit too heavy for me for lunch. I choose the Italian combo with lettuce, tomato, and peppers. I walked around the shop to look at other offerings. It's definitely a lot cleaner with the new ownership. There are frozen gnocchi and pasta options that look great. It's helpful to know and find when I'm in need for dinner to make at home. The sub was ready and there are salt, pepper, and mayo packets available. I left the sub as is and that was a good choice. There is good flavor with the ham and salami and the peppers added a nice flare.I'll definitely try it again. They're friendly and the food is tasty and reasonable.

The best italian sub I've had near Bloomfield! Staff is always welcoming, it's super clean and you can find more options such as tortellini, ravioli and house marinara sauce!

We're so thankful to have this market back in our neighborhood of Little Italy. Well, it's new owners and a new name but same location.A fantastic deli, homemade pastas, sandwiches made to order, daily lunch specials, sauces, a variety of olive oils, pastas, seasonings and all things Italian! It's still a small market but they carry a lot of product and the store is spacious and immaculate. It's a dream come true having this gem within walking distance from my house. Literally, five minutes. The owners and employees are so incredibly kind, accessible and knowledgeable.Yay for us!!

Bloomfield Groceria is not and may never be on the same level that Groceria Italiana, formerly in the same location, was, but it's nice to have another Italian grocery in the store front, and overall I can't complain about the food or the products. I very much miss the huge array of hot sandwiches that Gorceria Italiana offered. Bloomfield Groceria offers a particular type of sandwich special each day instead. Unfortunately, that means if you're after a classic Bloomfield hot sausage sandwich, you're out of luck 6 days a week :(

Was introduced to this place on a food tour last year and was devastated when they closed. Went to check out the newly reopened Groceria. The place is very clean and well organized. The staff were friendly as well. The ravioli were as good as I remembered. I still bake them in sauce although they told me you can boil them as well now. Also got the meatballs that were also delicious. I do miss the Tuscan bread that the other place offered that was made there and some local homemade sauce (I forget the brand but didn't see it there). Needless to say I will be back! Check them out!

Everything is always so fresh at the Groceria, and this is the cleanest store I have ever been in! Besides all the meats, cheeses and salads they offer, their selection of frozen raviolis, gnocchi, meatballs and even breaded chicken breasts are great. I often buy my dinner ingredients here too. Also, good hot items for lunch every day. Very friendly people and a great place to shop in the heart of Bloomfield!

I asked for oil and vinegar on a hoagie instead of a packet of crappy Italian dressing - what a shock I got when the owner refused to do it! They sell oil and vinegar in the store! Very hostile and unfriendly owner! I was surprised by this attitude and have never had anything like that happen anywhere, ever in Pittsburgh, where independent store owners all appreciate their customers and bend over backwards to please them - every store in the strip and every other store in Bloomfield. Good luck to this business with an attitude like that!

Adorable little grocery store. The owners are so friendly and appreciative to customers. My favorite product is the Bloomfield Groceria brand of marinara sauce. The owner told me the recipe has been in his family for generations. It is perfectly sweet and wonderful quality. Also a great place to stop in for a simple but great quality Italian hoagie. Props to them for accepting credit cards; many businesses here don't!
