Surprised by the amount of negative reviews here, as I've never had a bad experience playing here. Got out for a round last Saturday, and despite the very strong winds, we had a good time. It had rained pretty severely the week prior and the bunkers were all ponds and there were some wet spots. This was the first time it was cart path only during one of my rounds, which is never ideal. One thing to note is that I always find their staff to be friendly, their rangers to be effective, and they also put on a wonderful outing. I've gone to several charity events here, and they always do a great job.

After several negative experiences this season at various Western PA courses, I felt this review was necessary for a great golf course and even better staff. Participated in an annual outing on Friday, July 3rd with around 25-30 other guys. Not a traditional outing really, just a bunch of tee times back-to-back. The course starter took time to engage with everyone lined up on the first tee and explain the course rules. After teeing off in the 2nd-to-last group, the course also maintained a very steady pace and we did not wait on any hole despite the # of people playing. The ranger was around the course several times to attentively monitor the pace of play. Upon completion of our round, all of those in our group sat in our carts on the 18th green to wait for the rest of our group to finish. Considering the size of our group, the course ran out of carts. And employee rode up to our group and kindly explained the situation to us and asked if we could return some of the carts. Just very very professional and friendly treatment from all involved. Course is beautiful, challenging, in great shape despite the lack of rain, and offers diversity in layouts not offered at many Western PA courses. Staff as a whole were great and despite not being in the more severely impacted Allegheny County, they still follow strict COVID-19 safety protocols. Just an all around great day of golf at a great course.

Not worth the money. I took a group of 16 golfers. That's 784 dollars all together. The event was for a bachelor party golf outing. The arrangements I made were for 16 golfers at the rate of 49$ each. Included in this deal was free range balls or free lunch at the turn ( hot dog and drink) when we arrived they did not honor our freebies. They said no it's not in the notes. You get nothing for free. The course was in rough shape to say the least. We were disappointed. We will go to Buffalo golf course next time. I don't recommend Birdsfoot golf to anyone. It's over priced, and the staff were inconsiderate toward us. No resolution was made. Spend your money elsewhere.

Please do yourself a favor and golf somewhere else. Don't get me wrong, they have a wonderful course with a spectacular layout. The key to a nice golf course are their greens. The greens here are absolutely horrible. There are unfixed ball marks everywhere on every single green. I've played this course many, many times and until recently I have loved golfing here. You can't enjoy a round of golf when your putts bounce around every time you putt.

We had so much fun today at Birdsfoot. It was my first time. I had some idea about it because my boyfriend always spoke so highly of it. First of all, the entire staff are awesome people. I really enjoyed talking with each one of them. The course is hilly, and a bit on the tough side. A couple holes I didn't like at all, but i find that to be true of most courses. After our round, we decided to stick around an grab a beer being that they have a great selection. I guess the owner is pretty into craft beers, so he always has a good selection for the patrons. Can't wait to go back during the summer! Although this place is off the beaten path, it's worth the trip.

This review is mainly for the staff. They are phenomenal. Everyone we talked to was extremely friendly and helpful when hearing it was our first time on the course. I've only been playing golf for a few years, but this course is beautiful. It is a bit hilly, but the views you have while playing made it worth it for me. It seems as though they have weekday deals all the time, so you can play a nice course for a good price! We will be back!

We were in a company sponsored outing. We were told early that we were playing too slow by the ranger. It just seemed like they were overbooked because our round was just over four hours. There was a few singles behind us and another outing schedule after ours.Maybe they should spend less on tree art and more on the maintenance of the greens. I thought they were extremely bumpy.

Hey golfers, if you can drive up 28 and park in the dust lot, this course will wash your car. Amazing. Pay at the small shed and be ready to call your wife !! Tell your wife that it will be a 6 1/2 round. Cook the pot roast on slow, I may be back on Sunday.

One of the more unique and challenging courses in the Pittsburgh area, with solid, well-kept fairways and rough. Just wish the greens were the same -- unfortunately they're bumpy and divot filled, which will always be an immediate measuring stick for me. The tee boxes on par 3s are also pretty chewed up, which is just annoying if you're someone that likes to hit off the turf. The cart paths also need major repair -- erosion lined and full of pot holes -- so just watch out for your life when driving. On top of it, the pace of play here is just as bad. The three times I've been here it's been packed and slow, and I've never seen any rangers on the course to move slower groups. I definitely don't think it's worth the money. Maybe at $25 per 18, if you can find it on groupgolfer/etc. (although they've got a good short game practice area)
