Birch Creek Farmery

I ordered a beef share, some pork chops and bacon. Everything has exceeded expectations. The owners were extremely helpful explaining everything and going over the order sheet. I will definitely be ordering again. Thank you for providing quality, healthy meat to the local community!

4.5 stars overall. Birch Creek Farmery is a family-owned farm that has been in operation for four generations. They raise many heritage breeds of animals that existed hundreds of years before commercial breeds. Their heritage breeds include Icelandic lamb, Berkshire pork, Galloway beef, poultry such as Muscovy duck, and others. The farmers use natural farming practices. Their animals enjoy large, green pastures, and pigs aerate the soil. The farmers never give the animals any antibiotics, growth hormones, or steroids. Furthermore, the farmers strive to use all parts of the animals so that nothing goes to waste. For example, they use bones to make bone broth, and they share hides to make leather as well as fat to make cosmetics.I have made several purchases from this farm. The ground chicken was a high quality. The slice of ham was large and had a smoky flavor. The duck wings were large, and I appreciate that the farm kindly gave me instructions to properly cook the duck. I also bought a couple of medium-sized pumpkins that were lovely decorations on my front porch.

They were great until it came down to choosing their personal lives over customers needs. Not just any customer, a boy depending on their chicken for his tube feeds. A true life or death situation. After being a loyal client and loving their products, I can not express how disappointed I am in their casual attitude. I offered to meet them half way when they were unable to deliver the Chicken needed for my clients tube feed, however their personal lives took priority over their business and it truly shows their character. So sad and disappointed in Teddie, I really believed in and supported her.
