Bill's Bar & Burger

I was recently here for a convention. Since this place was right next to the Westin where I was staying at I decided to pay it a visit. Like any other burger place, there's a bar you can sit down at but there is many places to sit down at.I went with the Crispy Chicken Sandwich and I thought it was going to be small.. I was very mistaken when I saw that monstrosity come out. Consisting of Two patties of Chicken, Applewood Bacon, Vermont White Cheddar, Ranch, Lettuce, Tomatos and Onions this sandwich was a feat to finish. I am not complaining but perhaps after the long 5-6 hour drive I was overwhelmed about how big this sandwich is. It was enough for me to say, yes I will come back here again for sure.Oh yeah. The fries were also pretty good too.

My partner and I went here after work and it was good it's your typical sports bar, nothing really special but the burgers were good. We also had loaded tater tots and I'd just say skip those... just a grease pit that didn't seem at all fresh but again decent burgers, ok beer choices... there you go, lol

As a burger aficionado, I thought this would be a good place to try -- an alternative to a few of the other restaurants down the street and in the cultural district. This restaurant is just off the lobby of the very nice Westin Hotel. It has a nice sporty bar decor inside that sets it apart from the hotel interior. I would say that the food was decent -- nothing to write home about, but not bad. The burger was good and very filling -- while also not a standout burger among the many that I love. I visited on Mother's Day and they had a special combo deal that included a milkshake. It made for a good dessert, and I will say that I am not a regular milkshake partaker, but it was a tasty treat. All in all, I will say that this is a decent option if you are downtown and in this area. I presume that their regular clientele are those staying at the hotel or going to a convention next door, but it is just as convenient for anyone going somewhere in the cultural district.

Bill's Bar & Burgers creates tasty beverages and burgers. Their style of burger is to put two patties on each burger, as well as lettuce, tomato, pickles, and their "special sauce," which is light and a little tangy. Lightly salted medium-cut fries accompany the burger. And, yes, they have other items on the menu too from appetizers to salads to chicken. Their milkshakes are huge and awesome as well. Service is polite and efficient from the hostess stand to the bar team to the waitstaff. While the restaurant is located on the Westin hotel, you don't feel like you're in a hotel. You feel like you're in a neighborhood pub with warm wood tones. People are happy to be at Bill's!

Not the best food I've tasted to be honest, but dined here twice during my visit to Pittsburgh, so it was also not bad. Conveniently located inside the Westin Hotel (where we were staying), Bill & Bar's Burger is a burger joint serving your typical burgers, shakes, fries and appetizers. I have to admit I have not tried their burgers or shakes, so my review might not be the most helpful. But I still felt compelled to share. Stars given for customer service! They have very friendly servers who I mostly wanted to leave a review for (thank you!) Also stars given for offering a separate "Wellness Menu" for those who want to opt for healthier options. Not only do we get healthy options, we also are offered half portions, which I really appreciated. As mentioned, I dined in here twice while visiting. First time I chose their salmon (half portion) "wellness menu". Second time, my daughter and I shared nachos, cheese fries, and fried cauliflower appetizers. Although their dishes were not the best, it was not bad. Would I dine here again? If I was staying at the Westin in Pittsburgh, most definitely. Would I go out of my way to visit if not? Maybe. But it most definitely is a friendly and comfy environment. Next time I will definitely give their burgers and shakes a try.

Okay so it's not the best food in the world. However if you're in a bind I think this is a great option. Super spacious! Honestly I think I need to go back and try a milkshake because they all looked amazing! We were in a rush, so we didn't get to try one. I got the brunch burger, the taste was very good. I got waffle sweet potato fries as well. So mine was very good. A plus for this place is that it is also kid friendly with a kids menu!

We had an awesome meal at Bill's Bar & Burger in downtown Pittsburgh! We had a fabulous time here about a year ago, and had to came back. We had the South of the Burger and the Keto Burger with fries and the best ever coleslaw (with Sweet Hungarian Paprika). The pumpkin pie dessert was a fabulous finishing touch. Outstanding service by Dean and kitchen genius by Andrew Cullen, the executive chef. Love the vibe of this place; great food and fun times with customers and staff. Highly recommend; we'll be back again!

I would never recommend this place, typically I would never eat at hotel restaurants since they are not the best. The first day we came here the hostess told us 20 minute me, then they told us another 20 minutes and after that they said an hour. We ended up leaving and going elsewhere. We ended up doing a reservation for the next day since all my students wanted to try it out. When we finally got here we waited about 20 minutes for a server to even ask for our order. When the food finally came it was pretty bad. First the turkey sandwich had ice on it from being freezer burned. When we brought it up to the waitress they said it was served cold... ice cold, though? Everything was mid and not very good. The place is pretty big and the atmosphere is nice, the food is mediocre at best.

This is a solid place for watching a game and getting food. The area was bustling right after the Steelers game. It was loud but not so much so that you couldn't converse with someone next to you. I was solo, so I sat at the bar and ordered a beer and B's Sliders w/ extra pickles. The Sliders were okay. There's not a ton of flavor about them, but they got the job done. The fries were solid and went well with the ranch dressing. If you're one of those individuals like me who are picky about their ranch dressing and get annoyed when restaurants alter or water down their ranch, then this ranch is for you. The staff was busy, but they were great when they had a second to check on me.I'd go back here again if I was with friends and it was nearby. I wouldn't order the sliders again.
