The hotel and their parking totally frustrated and started me out with a sour mood. The restaurant and bar service made up for it. Staff was very friendly, drinks mixed nicely with a nice kick.I ordered a cobb salad. I asked for it in the to go container since i knew i would not finish it. I found it strange that my salad came with french fries on top... (insert blank stare) Not quite the healthy meal I was expecting but the salad was fresh, greens were tasty and toppings were otherwise exactly what i expected.

Good service. I have eaten here for breakfast and dinner a few times over the last couple of years. The Bigelow Grille is located inside the DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh downtown it is a pretty solid dining option. This April (2024) I decided to do dinner. I ordered the PGH Steak Sandwich which was super filling and tasty. I ordered a side of ranch for my fries and it was perfect. The offer Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and of course are open for Happy Hour. Dine inside or there is a Patio that is opened seasonally. You can check out their website at www.thebigelowgrille.com

Had a 6:30pm reservation before the Justin Timberlake concert and never got seated. We showed up 10 minutes early for the reservation and were told it would be a few minutes. We decided to leave after waiting 40 minutes. If a restaurant takes reservations they should be equipped to handle those.

After staying a night in the DoubleTree in Downtown Pittsburgh, I came here for breakfast, as it's in the DoubleTree. Service was great! They have a nice breakfast menu, offering the typical (boring!) breakfast items, as well as interesting items, like their omelet, but their breakfast sandwich was outstanding! Looked beautiful and tasted great. Potatoes were nicely done too.I enjoyed my visit for breakfast.... But according to previous review, your mileage may vary!

Nice place for a bite before the pens game. Close to the stadium. They had this nice deal going for us.

Bigelow Grille is attached to the DoubleTree Hilton. It's location is therefore great if staying at the hotel. The review is probably easily summed up that this restaurant would not exist if not for it being attached the the hotel. Food. Went there for breakfast and it was $22/person for a Buffett. The Buffett was subpar. Atmosphere. None. Sterile cheap hotel furniture and decorations. Service. It was a a Buffett so...

I feel like hotel restaurants can either be a hit or a miss & Bigelow Grille is definitely a HIT! If you've never been, it's inside of the DoubleTree Hotel. You can valet park with the hotel & it's free if you're only dining (there are hourly/overnight charges for hotel guests). They are open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch & dinner (hard to find that in downtown restaurants)! I went for lunch and had the Spiced Tempura Gulf Shrimp to start. It was soooo good - it was lightly batter & fried perfectly. The tiger sauce on it was delicious. I also had the Bigelow Burger which is awesome - not many other burgers like this one. The "not so secret sauce" is the perfect addition. The fries were crispy & it was a generous portion. Our server, Irina, was amazing - very attentive & gave us great recommendations on the menu. Bigelow Grille also has a daily happy hour menu & they're a 5 minute walk to PPG Paints Arena so it's a great spot before a concert or game. Loved my experience and will definitely be back!

Terrible service: 1 waitress serving the whole restaurant with 20+ customers. You will get a good stretch on your neck looking for the waitress who never comes out of the kitchen. Pricy food: 50$ for 4 eggs with some potatoes. But it came so late that you won't have time to eat.

This place wouldn't exist if it weren't in a hotel. It was a Sunday afternoon and we couldn't find anything else close by that was open. We ordered "smash" burgers and they were just thin patties (almost certainly right out of the freezer) and so dry they were hard to finish. A thin patty does NOT make a burger a "smash" burger!!!

Avoid. It's fine if you want to drink and watch the game. Do NOT come for a meal. You will wait forever. Brought my family there for a meal because we were tired and didn't want to go out. The place was completely empty and it took 50 minutes. When I said something I was told they are short staffed. So you let us sit there forever with antsy kids and don't say anything? Then the food was mediocre at best. I forgive the high prices. I expected that, but you can't charge high prices for mediocre food that takes forever when the place is empty.
