Stopped in for lunch, ordered 1/2 a dozen bbq wings, and coleslaw. Was surprised when Lil Mic- o- wave did the cooking, and big mike slapped the bbq sauce onto finish them. Place is pretty dull and dirty- only thing I smelled smoking was Winston lights when the chef walked by. It's also closed Monday-Wednesday.

On my ride there, you'll miss it if you don't keep your eyes peeled. It's tucked away, and you wouldn't think it's a BBQ spot, but that shows how hole-in-the-wall it is. I got the combo meal and my favorite is the brisket. Very juicy and tender. Their bbq sauce is really balance. One thing I wish would be better is their lemonade, it is a tad more sweet than I would like. Great portion sizes and value. Definitely would want to come back here again.

Attended a meeting at PSU-Fayette and needed a place for lunch. Found Big Mike's on Yelp. Very good meal. Ordered the Sampler (ribs x3, brisket, pulled pork, and half chicken). Everything was juicy and flavorful. Fast, kind service. Will definitely return the next time I'm in the region.

This place is tucked on a side road just outside of Connellsville. I had a few people tell me I needed to try it because it's fantastic. Well, it is!I got a half rack of baby back ribs, and I added the fries and slaw. I also got the homemade sweet tea, which was perfectly sweetened. The fries were good. The slaw was ok, more sweet than I'd like, but good none the less. Now these ribs literally fell off the bone! Even though they sauced the ribs, you could still taste the seasoning. The sauce is comparable to Sweet Baby Rays. I got the hot, it was on the milder side. I'd like more of a kick, but again, still delicious!Prices aren't bad at all. Paid $14 for all that and my drink. Well worth it! Going back next time to try that brisket!

After only seeing one semi negative review my husband wanted to give this place a shot and we are both very happy we did. To address the one negative review they do accept cards and cash now and the older gentlemen running the place are very reserved not rude maybe some will interpret that as rude but I can assure you all of them were very kind to my 2 year old and very polite when taking my order. Now for the food, it was fantastic. We got the ultimate hog slam which was $49.00 and no joke could easily feed at least 5 adults definitely 4 with left overs. My husband eats for two and we had 3 boxes of left overs. The corn bread is out of this world!!! I got a piece to go and seriously wanted to turn around for more but my husband is making me wait until tomorrow when we have company over so that they can try this new gem too. Take a leap of faith on this one and you won't be sorry.

I'm always trying to smoke out authentic, old school barbecue joints when I travel, and I hit the jackpot with Big Mike's. We saw a fairly inconspicuous sign on US 119 as we were heading from Kentucky to New York and based on a quick peek at Yelp, we did a U-Turn, wound our way through an industrial park to a residential neighborhood and stumbled on Big Mike's. The smell was promising, and the barbecue itself was even better. We ordered the Slam Hog - a sampler of ribs, chicken, brisket and pulled pork - and everything was moist and smoked to perfection. There's a choice of sweet or spicy sauce, and you can't go wrong with either one. Sadly they were out of coleslaw and cornbread, but the beans were the real deal - one of the best sides I've had. This is definitely among the best, if not the best, barbecue I've had north of the Mason-Dixon Line. A MUST STOP for all barbecue lovers.

Good little place. The area is good and the sit down area is good. Looks like a good place to eat. Food is good. The people here were nice and they have a big menu on the wall which is good for me because I forgot my glasses. Didn't have to wait much to get my food and it was good.

Driving nearby and thought I'd give this place a try. The inside is almost as dirty looking as the outside. Don't expect pleasantries from the staff. In fact, you might feel like you're bothering them, especially the lady in the back packing up the food. Maybe its because we didnt look like we were in-towners. Anyway, the brisket sandwich was pretty good. The pulled chicken looked and tasted more boiled than smoked. It was barely ok. The bean bowl or whatever it was wasn't good at all. Prices weren't bad. But when taking in to consideration the quality, well. So yea, it's not like any BBQ youll find in KC or Memphis, or even a big city, regardless, I wont go back
