Bierport

Fast food at restaurant prices, the smash burgers were just slightly crispier than a McDonalds burger but the taste was the same, when the burger came, it was already cold and was not seasoned nearly enough. Maybe they have better showings, but this was not one of them. Beer was good, but any the restaurant has good beer when they don't brew it.

If you're looking for any beer in particular, they have it! What I love most about this place is you can take the beers you buy off the shelves downstairs to the bar and they can quick freeze it and serve it to you cold and refreshing like right out of the tap.The downstairs bar has beers on tap but they also have several cans and bottles that are cold in the cooler and also ones on the shelves to either buy and take home or quick freeze and drink there too.They serve some food too and even though it's limited to what you can get they will have something that caters to your palate.The vibe upstairs is just like any beer store but downstairs is my vibe because it's very hip.The employees are talkative and friendly. It's a great spot for all of your seasonal beers :P

Second visit to the Bierport. This is a fun and interesting place to sit and enjoy a drink. The first floor has a large display of many beers for take out purchase. Down the narrow steps to the grotto the feel is cozy and inviting. More beers line the walls and a cooler of additional beers. If your selection isn't in the cooler or on tap for an additional charge you can have your can or bottle quickly cooled to enjoy. There are several high top tables to sit at and a booth with TV. In addition to a number of beers on tap the first floor has a selection of of zero alcohol beers.My three star rating reflect the Beers being served in plastic cups. Guess I'm a beer snob but a glass enhances the flavor of even the most modest of beers.

Went into Bierport on Saturday afternoon on a walk while I explored Lawrenceville. The selection upstairs was solid with some locals as well as foreign and limited brews like Russian River sours and some heavy pastry stouts...Basement beer grotto looked great but bartender was seemingly uninterested in being friendly or helpful. I almost felt like my sample was an inconvenience for him to pour, but maybe he was having a bad day.Pros - Variety and cool basement beer grottoCons - A little pricier than other options nearby

This is such a unique shop for beer and cider. As a cider fan, I have found that they have such unique and somewhat unusual selections here. They bring in a lot of different domestic ciders from other states, as well as some local offerings, and even have a few international selections. It is fun shopping here and to create a mix of new and different selections to try.

This is a small place right in Lawrenceville by the Row House theater. The upstairs has lots of different beer for sale. Then you go downstairs and there is even more beer. Plus some seating and a small bar. That night we weren't there to drink but were picking up a specific beer and checking what they had available.The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Every time I have stopped in I am greeted and asked if I need help. They always are willing to answer questions or even just chat about beer. They also will just leave you alone to wander and check out the selection if you prefer.They definitely have a variety available, especially considering the size of the place. They also usually have some variety six packs assembled (often with different themes) and have some staff pick recommendations. It's definitely a fun place just to stop in and browse the beer. They also host a lot of different events. If you are in the area definitely stop in, say hello and have some beers. Cheers!

We've stopped in a few times visiting Lawrenceville. It's a great place to find all different kinds of craft beer and ciders from Pittsburgh and beyond. We've seen some cool combinations that you've never heard of and some local familiar favorites. It's really nice to find things that we've had and enjoyed while we traveled. They're not only delicious but bring back good memories. I like how they separate the selections so you can choose based on local or beyond and the types of ciders or beers. You can also mix and match all different kinds which makes it fun. The people are great too and always willing to help. If you're in the mood for something different and don't know what that something is, head on over to Bierport and either ask for some advice or take a chance on something new.

This place blows my mind with their selection of beer, the number of events they have going on throughout the week, and the friendliness of the staff! There is an upstairs and downstairs of walls of different types of craft beer. Flavors for every person's taste, seasonal types, and unique brands. I could spend hours here, looking at all the different labels and types and still find something new. The employees are more than willing to help you find what you're looking for and provide their personal favorite. Even if you don't know much about craft beer, they don't make you feel stupid and help you learn more about what flavors are in each beer type. The 6 pack containers are 10% off and a great gift idea. The coolest part or this place is the movie theater attached next door and the events they host. Down stairs are tables and taps for relaxing and events. Also a Sega game system to have some fun playing old school games. Friday and Saturday nights they have fun events going on, to come and enjoy time with friends. I will definitely be coming back here to experience the activities and events!

We were in the taproom with friends on Friday night . . . excellent selection as well as great fun and atmosphere,So, I lost my gloves that night, not knowing where, and dropped by today to check. Team member/Bartender Jason in the taproom was incredibly helpful and spent some time looking in the back for my brand new mittens which he found! This is a shout out for him!I'm headed back asap too given his explanation on the arrangement to order with Simply Burger across the street. Seems a a nice pairing idea with some fine beers at Bierport!
