I love a night at the Benedum. The outside and inside are beautiful. It's easy to enjoy a show at any seat, but this theater does have a cozy feel. Ticketing process is quick and easy with digital tickets you can add to your Apple wallet. There are always a ton of people there, but it never feels too chaotic entering or leaving. I like that they have beverages available to enjoy including beer and wine that you can sip during the show. They come with easy to use lids which sounds like a small thing, but makes me more likely to enjoy a beverage if I know I'm not going to spill red wine on my nice theater-going outfit. There are parking garages located all around or you can try to score street parking for free after 6 pm.

This place is simply breathtaking. The history when you walk through the doors and the way it makes you feel as you go down the stairs is really astounding. The grand chandelier in the theater is gorgeous. The craftsmanship that went into the architecture of this place must have taken so much thought and detail to complete. The show was pretty good. But the costumes were AMAZING AND SO ERA ACCURATE! I had never been to the opera before but I will be back. I can't wait to see another show.

Went for the first time earlier this week. Loved it. Parking was easy to find as there is a parking garage within a 5 min walk. Staff was so friendly with helping me find will call and the section that the tickets were in.

Here for the chandelier drop event and so many other performances now and we just LOVE the Benedum Center and seeing shows here. The Sound of Music, Guys and Dolls, Moulin Rouge, Straight No Chaser, A Magical Cirque Christmas, and many more. Every time we love being here and the care we get by the staff and volunteers here. One of the best if not the best theatre in town. Heads up don't take any of the side seats as many have restricted views. Yuck. Anyways that's about all of it. Best place to come for a show.

Do I love every show ... No. Do I love my seats ... YES Is it a pre-scheduled "date" 6 months in advance ... YESCOVID took its toll on all of us. I missed the theater. As a season ticket holder, I was very sad to park on level 8 of Theater Square garage, BUT very happy to see the theater filled to the rafters not once but twice for Moulin Rouge. Having never seen the movie, I didn't know what to expect. Never thought Christina Aguilera's Lady Marmalade would be the opening song (expected at intermission or end). I love Rock of Ages, so of course I loved Moulin Rouge. NOTE: I am NOT a fan of online snack/beverage ordering. Service fee AND automatic tip. Got me once never again. The $4 16 oz water is also ridiculous. The specialty drink for Moulin Rouge was $15. You CAN ORDER your snacks/beverages before the show without using the app - just stand in line - will be waiting for you on the bar at intermission.

Very clean, accommodating establishment to watch plays and musicals. Make sure you get a parking pass though it's well worth the money

Got some very last minute tickets day of for Beetlejuice. You really cannot tell on the map how good your seats will be - our seats were pretty great despite being in row O on the orchestra floor. The theatre was clean, the energy high, and the ushers so friendly. Thank you for a wonderful evening out!

"GIVE MY REGARDS TO BROADWAY Touching the door handle at the Benedum Center brought be out of a cold Sunday afternoon transporting back in time leaving the Roaring 1920's Pittsburgh behind me. Just being inside the iconic theatre lobby, I feel certain among the crowd I will see the likes of the Ghost Adolph Zukor, president of Paramount Studio the show hall opened as the Stanley Theater on Monday, February 27, 1928. I have spent endless hours researching this magnificent building the refreshment stand and the novelty items for sale adding to the flavor of a bye-gone era.I am just a bit early so the main theatre was not yet open which took place at 12:30 the chilly air shot through the doors as each patron entered. Once inside I was greeted with charm and warmth from the usher staff who helped me locate my seat. As I passed the first set of doors my ticket is scanned a friendly female usher quickly indenfied herself as Penn State Fan reacting my yellow and green shamrock tie after Notre Dame's recent Orange Bowl Victory. As I made way to Right side Orchestra Section yet another gracious female usher indemnified herself as an Irish lass she gave me a compliment on my out fit and made sure I was among the first to receive a program. A third female Usher made sure I was in the correct seat. I here to enjoy the sensational Broadway revival of Funny Girl. As the patrons mill in finding their seats, I did a bit people watching. The lady next to me stated before the show that she had taken her Grandchildren to Broadway. This is family friend ticket pricing. The concession offered lite snacks including wine and soft drinks Hot Pretzels seem to be enjoyed by theatre goers. The Benedum Center was clean the staff is friendly the sound system was excellent patrons were asked to turn off cell phones, make note of emergency exits ect. patrons were dressed nice in mostly business casual attire. It was not long before the lights were dimmed, and the stage footlight were alive with color and the stage bright beautiful costumes as the most talented casts performed songs. The New York East End stage scenery and dialogue had me tapping my feet and bursting with laughter to the endless skits. As we see Franny Brice travel from tenement to The Ziegfeld Follies fall in out of love?Somehow intermission had come and gone it truly World War I Yankee Doodle number in the second act that stood out as they were in silver costumes for me. Somehow show was over and the audience gave a thundering applause. As the lights came on the cast took their final bows. The run time is 2 hours 50 minutes including the intermission, but it must have been timed via speed dial. The show was over a little quicker it seemed to me.Exiting the theatre the Buzz was the show was somewhere between West 41st and West 54th Street the best of Broadway on the Allegheny River. One ticketholder quipped did Ethel Merman play in Funny Girl not wanting to sound fresh I said I did know. A better question would have been is Leah Platt going to be on stage today? On March 26 1964, the Jule Styne musical "Funny Girl", starring Barbra Streisand, opened on Broadway at the Winter Garden Theater. The show ran for 1348 performances. I have only one thing to say "GIVE MY REGARDS TO BROADWAY "!

Attended the Book of Mormon at the Benedum on February 27 with my family. What a wonderful evening. We loved the performance. The actors did a wonderful job and had everyone laughing. There's not a bad seat in the venue. We sat in the upper balcony and had a great view.
