Incredible talented bakers. We had the best cupcakes for my boyfriends daughters 16th birthday party. Ingredients were fresh, the flexibility on design and creation was perfectly curated to execution. The ordering process was simple by online or even calling for specific details. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable and creating the best cupcake experience.

This location used to be a Gigi's Cupcakes, but apparently it was sold to Bella Christie's. Bella Christie's is a locally owned bakery whose first location is in Aspinwall.Bella Christie's bakers and pastry chefs make cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and pastries. They even make custom cakes and event tables for weddings, birthdays, and other special events. Cakes are available in about a dozen flavors (e.g., vanilla, chocolate, banana, and hazelnut) with about a few dozen flavors of fillings (e.g., almond custard, mango mousse, raspberry jam, peach compote, espresso buttercream, and fruit).When I entered this business, I saw two display cases that were full of macarons, cheesecakes, mini cupcakes, cupcakes, cookies, and brownies. An employee immediately and kindly greeted me. As I was selecting my desserts, the employee carefully bagged and boxed them. She accurately rang up my purchase, and she thanked me.Here are my reviews for the desserts:Strawberry milkshake cookie - $2.75 - 4.5 stars - This cookie looked the prettiest in the display and had the most unique-sounding flavor. It was pink and had sprinkles and white chips mixed in. The cookie was a large size, and it was fresh and moist. I liked the strawberry flavor.Strawberry milkshake cupcake - $4.25 - 4.5 stars - Can you tell that I like strawberry milkshakes? :) This cupcake was a good size, and it consisted of moist pink cake that had strawberry pieces mixed in. It was topped with fresh, creamy strawberry and white icing with sprinkles. On top was a paper straw, and I put it in my mouth because I had assumed that it was white chocolate--oops!Lemon blueberry cupcake - $4.25 - 4.5 stars - This cupcake was also a good size. The cake was lemon yellow with a few blueberries mixed in. On top was a blueberry-flavored buttercream icing that was topped with two fresh blueberries and a lemon gummy. I enjoyed these flavors.Turtle cheesecake - $4.50 - No rating - My husband ate this cheesecake. He said, "It was fine."One additional thing that I noticed was that the plastic tray that held the cupcakes was type 6 plastic, which is not recyclable in our community. I wonder if the owners could explore other options for the tray.

Nice clean bakery in McCandless I have been wanting to try. They have a large variety of baked goods to offer. I tried the hot mess cookie, and the Hostess cupcake covered brownie. The brownie was very good. The hot mess cookie to me had a different aftertaste. I would not try that flavor again. The service was very friendly and patient while you decide what you want.

Bought a Hostess inspired cupcake on Sunday. It was ok, pricey for the quality as it was dry. I'd be curious if they bake fresh daily or roll over items from one day to the next. I may stop back if I need a fancy cupcake and was in the area. Staff was friendly.

I really wish I had remembered to take pictures, because everything was beautifully prepared. Oh well, next time. I had seen Bella Christie's before but never stopped in. Family members picked some up and brought dessert over to our house for family dinner. And wow, were the cupcakes delicious. The icing was beautiful, decadent, but not overly sweet. The cake underneath was perfect as well. I tried the red velvet and some sort of mango concoction, and both did not disappoint. We also had a little mini cheesecake. it was light and not too dense. Really great way to finish up dinner at home.
