Just another beer place. Most of the beer isn't in coolers. At least one member of the staff is permanently drunk. There's no air conditioning. What more do you expect? This is more a place to grab domestic beer, booze slushies, and play the lotto. Not good. Not inherently bad. It's all we have without the gas station beer purchase limits.

I've found our new beer store! They have a huge selection of craft beers. The best selection in the area.

Beer Minimum gets one star because they have beer. I must assume that "Minimum" refers to their level of care for their product and/or customers.I was on my way to a picnic when I stopped by Beer Minimum to grab a case of Oskar Blues' Mama's Little Yella Pils. Later, while throwing some of the cans in a cooler, I noticed some dried mold on the bottom of the cardboard carry - not a good sign. At the picnic, I noticed that the beer was not quite what I remembered it to be (understatement). The next day, I found the canning date to be April 14, 2009 - almost a year and a half old.I returned to Beer Minimum with the remaining two six packs today. First they tried to tell me the beer wasn't necessarily bad. Then they tried to give me two replacement six packs of the same, equally old, beer. After a few calls to the owner and some awkward conversation, the lady directed me to Vecenie's Distributor from whom Beer Minimum got the Pils. I reminded her that I got the beer from Beer Minimum. She told me that I could have purchased that beer anywhere. I told her that her computerized records will indicate that I purchased it there. One obstacle to my return was that I did not have a receipt. Unfortunately, I don't recall ever even getting a receipt. Anyway, I left the two fetid six packs with the lady at Beer Minimum. It must be noted that this is the second time that I have purchased old beer from Beer Minimum. The first time happened about seven years ago when I moved to this area. I successfully returned, but it was still a pain in the.... I had boycotted them for several years as a result. I slowly started going there again because they are the closest distributor to my home. I always checked the dates and kept the receipts. This time, they caught me off guard. The moral of the story:I cannot, with a clear conscience, recommend this place. If you must go there, be sure to check the date of the beer you want to buy and save the receipt. Ask for help only if you want to feel uncomfortable. Buying beer should not be an adversarial relationship.

I love beer. I never used to buy my hubby has me trying all kinds of different flavors and now I know exactly the kind I enjoy. I love the belgian ales and the stouts but i keep away from the IPA's , far too bitter for me. So this store has the largest stock i've seen of any other beer distributor. They have great prices and a huge selection. I love that they have specialty beers and even mixers of different flavors for alcohol purchases. They sell snacks as well almost a whole aisle worth. They have a small fridge section in the back for those who want their beer cold right away. They have alcohol free beer too like O'douls which my dad drinks sometimes. They service is just OK they are usually only helpful if you need them to locate something for you or when your checking out. They wouldn't even load my car unless I drove in front of the store. They offer candy too, lottery, and tobacco products. I love the fact that they have a slushy machine in the front that makes great ice slushies that are heavy and not airy.I recently stocked up on a few cases of beer. A gluten free beer, 2 apple cider beers and a cream ale from genesee. They price on the genesee was great too!! A 30 pack of 12 oz cans for $11.99. Can't beat that price right. Happy Beer!!

Driving around Penn Hills before we met the rest of the family at the hotel, my sisters and I were searching for a place for a quick Happy Hour drink. We didn't immediately find it. Instead, we found this pleasant surprise. Beer Minimum, which ostensibly sells beer in bulk at very reasonable prices. The prices, at least compared to Cleveland, are reasonable and just as cheap, if not cheaper, than in Cleveland. Their selection of beers is staggering and one of the largest that I've seen (next to Tiffany's in Kalamazoo, MI). There's highbrow and import beers like Chimay, assorted microbrews from across the country (Rogue, Dogfish, Stone, Great Lakes, Bell's), domestics, and a vast selection of cheaper beers and 40 oz malt liquors like St. Ides and Mickey's. There's a whole section from local breweries as well. There's an indoor cooler with kegs. Just note: Everything they sell here is in bulk: nothing is sold in less than a 12 pack. If you drink beer, then just exit 380 for about a mile, definitely check this out.

This is the best place ever. The employees are helpful and nice. They have tons of beer, including hard to find specialty items. They also have alcoholic slushies to-go which is clearly the most important.

Really awesome employees.........I stopped in today (Christmas Eve) to get a 6 pack of Stellas for my 82 year old Mother ! I told the employee they were for my Mom and that she had jokingly said thats all she wanted for Christmas ! Well, the young ladies at the register gave me a cutting board and a 'stella' apron as little gifts for my Mom who finds holidays rough now that my Dad is gone.....they were sooooooooo nice.......and then one of them says something about my blue eyes.....she was so nice, they were all so nice.....their kindness made my day. Love you guys, Happy Holidays! Your Buddy, "Blue". :)

They continously close at different times. It's not 9:30pm as it states on the door. They say they close early so they can walk out the door at 9:30pm. Myself and 7 other people were denied access to the store as of 9:20pm. I assume it's the workers and not the owners. I highly doubt the owners would purposely miss out on sales.
