Bedford Tavern & Seafood House

Good food, good service. We ate downstairs in the bar area. Had an old school 70s basement feel to it which was both inviting and casual. Snow crab legs, bang bang shrimp, and salmon were all nicely prepared. Good beer selection including several locals on tap. Waitress and bartender were great. We'd go again!

Bedford is the home of the whiskey, rebellion, great stream fly fishing, and the Bedford tavern. It is located in historic downtown, Bedford, and has friendly service, an interesting menu, and good food and drink. We had salads, with add Ons my wife had a chunk of grilled salmon, add to her salad, and I had a local favorite, the Pittsburgh salad, which is a green salad, topped with steak, french fries, and shredded cheese. There is a nice selection of beer, some wine, and mixed drinks. Perfect for a Sunday evening supper.

The crab soup was terrible and looked like glue in a cup. Scallops overcooked and the waitress did not provide a full service of needs. half way through dinner noticed specials but was never told anything after being seated. If I was waiting tables and saw two cups of soup not eaten I would ask questions. Will not go again.

This is a burger and beer joint. Any review suggesting the seafood is good, is way off base.

Went out for the husband's birthday because he wanted seafood. Major disappointment. He got the Lime shrimp, it was flavored great but overcooked and dry. I got the langoustine pot looked like something you would get from Denny's. The bartender was also the server so it took quite a while to get everything. She was too busy to come by to ask if we needed a second round.

We stopped here coming off the turnpike thru PA. So worth it! Great meals great service, loved hearing the history and seeing the quaint building and downtown area. Would love to visit again!

I went there with my wife recently and had a fantastic meal. My wife had the fish fry which was haddock french fries and coleslaw and I had the fish sandwich with fries and we shared a dozen wings. Everything was delicious. My fish sandwich was the best I ever had. Our meal with two beverages was 34 dollars which I thought was very reasonable in this day and age. Will definitely go back. It is definitely a hidden gem .

We had an opportunity to have dinner at the Bedford Tavern ! What a treat! The food was great, but almost more importantly, the owners are amazing! Great service, but the food was just ok. Nothing really stood out. Great location and some interesting history. Really solid beer list with lots of Pennsylvania craft brewers.
