Barnhart's Soft Serve

The soft serve and ice cream are what they're known for, but it's also a very cozy old school diner with homemade dishes. You can tell it's a favorite for locals who want an unfussy warm meal made with care! We were tired after a long day of travel and we were glad to find a place where we could quickly get a bite to eat. We ordered the crispy chicken salad, the fried cheese bites (half spicy, half regular), and the chicken parmigiana pasta that comes with salad. The salad and the pasta each came with a canned drink. The portions were good and we did not leave hungry. The servers and staff were very attentive and friendly. It was just what I would expect! They were generous with the ice cream and soft serve and even though we were full from dinner, we couldn't help but indulge.

Comfort food is Good . Go for the breakfast mess , sausage or bacon is a good meal in it's self . Cheeseburgers are solid , and Fish on Friday is a good catch too . There's also soft serve ice-cream .

I had lunch at Barnhart's for the first time. I have lived in the area for 32 years and never heard of this place. We had fish and french fries. It was some of the best fish I have ever had! The fries were fantastic too. The food was very hot. You place your order at a counter and they bring your food to you. They have iced lemon water for free. Serve yourself! I am told this place is known for its ice cream, but I didn't have any. If you're looking for a great place to have lunch or dinner, this is it! Prices are fair. It is a little bit of a step back in time as far as decor goes, but, who cares when the food is fantastic?

This is by far the best soft serve in the area! It is privately owned and the people definitely aim to please.They have weeknight food specials and they usually are very generous and very good. The owner makes homemade pies and homemade bread. I have gone there in the morning just to have toast and coffee as the homemade wheat bread is delicious!You'll often find a lot of local sitting around chatting having nice conversation. And they'll be happy to include you.

Please try this place! - prices are fair - Food is delicious - HOME MADE - the people are friendly to one another - staff are very nice- ice-cream for dessert! ( hard or soft serve)

Delicious ice cream and burgers are awesome! Friendly service, on time with a phone ahead order, prices are reasonable for good food!
