We went for lunch and the soup of the day was very good which it usually is and the BLT was good as well but not the best I've ever had but the quantity was very feeling. Service is super nice and willing to give some good input on the menu. It is very homey inside and it makes you feel link your going to grandmas for lunch.

If you want breakfast and or lunch this is your old fashioned place. The food is amazing as is the service but definitely no frills. Hidden in the heart of Carnegie and brings pleasant surprises to your taste buds.

This place not only serves a delicious meal, but a little joy and comfort in a home like atmosphere. If you're lucky, you might even get to meet the restaurant's namesake lovingly cooking away in the kitchen. If you're fortunate enough to stop in Carnegie, then your day will be made. Whether you're going with a group or alone, you'll feel right at home. The regulars add a little extra spark too. They're a community that helps to make you feel welcomed and at home too. To put it simply- it's good home cooking with character. (Open on Sunday's too.)

Really great dining experience.Quality takes time. Spinach feta omelet generously filled with feta. Banana walnut pancakes yummy huge serving took half home.

If you are looking for a small time family place for a traditional breakfast, this is the place. I was happy with my bacon & eggs and atmosphere. But I don't mind duct tape on bar stools. Good folks and basic food. I will be back when I am in Pittsburgh. Place was filled with local

What a dump! Service was super slow and food was terrible. I swear they only make 1 order at a time, no multitasking here folks. When we finally got our food, mine was wrong. This might be okay for the locals to hang out, which is what it mostly seemed like. I would highly recommend moving on to a better place if considering this joint. Ugh

This is a great little place with great food at very reasonable prices. I had a grilled chicken sandwich and a bowl of vegetable beef soup and both were outstanding. My wife had the cheese steak hoagie and fries which she also found delicious. This was our first time there and we will definitely be back.
