Beer places are a dime a dozen. Banksville beer had an amazing selection cool and helpful staff. The best part is the have a couple of San Diego craft beer selections.

I've been a customer here off and on for at least 20 years. When having parties and needing a few cases of domestic beer this is a good place because the prices are so good and they also often have lots of sales. They have imports and crafts, IPAs but not a large selection like I am used to. But again, for domestic case purchases this place has the hook up.

Inconvenient location, not so ideal parking. However, the beer selection is huge! One of the largest beer stores I've ever seen.

So like other folks have said, you have to be going toward Mt Leb in order to get into the store/parking lot. When I do come here, which is maybe once a month or every other month, it has waves of crowds, so parking can either be good or bad. The store itself is packed full of all the beer you can imagine! They have two big coolers. The store is well organized with specialties, imports and domestics. I'm not a very knowledgeable of beer, but that's why I like coming here. I know exactly where to look for the types of beer I like. The clerks are always nice and helpful. The prices are not bad either and always have good specials going on. The location is prime, however the Banksville rd is definitely in need of a median lane to make stores more accessible.

Banksville Beer is one of those places I very rarely have to shop at; I don't drink a ton of beer and given a choice between cider (which you can get here) and wine (not so much, obviously), wine will usually win. As a result, one stop here can keep my cider/beer supply stocked for months. Now, while I've never left the shop empty handed and I LOVE browsing the fantastic and varied beer selection here, I have admittedly had trouble finding specific favorite beverages of mine, such as flavors of Magner or even varieties of Blue Moon. But I think this has more to do with my taste (remember, not the biggest beer person, more of a cider/wine person) than the shop itself - you can always at least find the basic ciders and beers here. And again, I've never left empty handed despite my snobby tastes: usually I leave with a whole case of Woodchuck, and most recently a whole case of Fall Woodchuck. Yum! Also, the men behind the desk are usually pretty good about asking if you need a hand taking things to your car. (Usually.)Still, the parking situation here keeps me from giving the place 4 stars. Getting into the lot here can be a little frightening as you hope the person behind you is paying attention and slowing down while you turn into the lot. The lot itself is pretty tiny so problems can arise if too many people stop in for beer at once. Finally, getting out is even more terrifying than pulling in, because no one slows down on Banksville, ever, to let you out. Be prepared to sit for a few minutes if traffic is heavy.Happy shopping, beer lovers!

With the advent of the Super Bowl just a few days away, the beer distributors are licking their chops at the business coming their way. Of course, this means the end of football season, so sales will drop off. Banksville Beer has a great business, and awesome location. They carry a good selection of all types of beer. Pittsburgh is suddenly having a love affair with IPA's, something I've been in love with for about 9 years now. Great selection here, including 60 and 90 minute, Victory, Ithaca Flower Power, etc. Good selections of your swill brews (PBR, less filling, tastes great) and your college frat boy brews, you know what I mean! They also carry snacks.

Love this place! They have the best selection and best prices. Plus, they carry my absolutely fave summer beer, Stiegl Radler! The guys that work here are great too. If you need beer and are in the area, I have no idea why you would go anywhere else!

This is a wonderful, locally owned store staffed by some very knowledgeable dudes. Their selection is larger than I've come to expect from most Pittsburgh beer stores and I know I'll always find something I like. They have regular samplings and new stock all the time. You can't go wrong with this place.
