Bakers Buck Hut

Alright, so this place might not look like much from the street, but we had heard good things! We had family photos taken nearby at brush creek park and then stopped in specifically for a calzone. Our toddlers LOVED looking around at all the taxidermy animals all over the walls and were thoroughly entertained for our entire meal. The calzone was enormous!! The only other place I've had one this big is from Bella Notte on the strip. We got bacon, sausage, and pepperoni in our calzone and those toppings were plentiful!! We only ate half of it and it was great the next day too! The marinara sauce wasn't especially interesting, but it wasn't bad either! Oh and they had a special for .75 wings!! So we got a half dozen to try. They were good. Service was good too! A little bit slow, but that's because calzones take a bit to bake and we knew that going into it. So no problem!! Overall a great experience and we are looking forward to bringing my in-laws here next time they are in town :)

First time in this evening and my wife, two toddlers and I split a large calzone and got a half dozen wings. We were the only party in the dining area (which we didn't mind as it gave our kids the opportunity to study each of the taxidermies closely. Our waitress was accommodating of our kids and was friendly too. The wings and calzone came out at about three same time and the wait was only about 15 minutes as everything is made-to-order and the calzone can be specially made with different ingredients. Overall I was very pleased with the food and felt that the calzone was plentiful and priced fairly. Ambiance is fun with all the mounted animals on the wall. Feels very rustic and down-to-earth. Would love to pop back in for another calzone soon!

Had the fish dinner. Massive portions. Good service. Limited menu on Friday during lent is the only complaint from me!

This dive bar/restaurant is a work in progress in regards to certain aspects. For the times I've gone there, the non-smoking dining area has truly not been very populated. As far as the bar side, I don't venture over there as they allow smoking on that side. When it comes to the food quality, you'll have enough for two meals or more with the portion sizes they provide. One thing that I will mention before you decide to come here, is make sure you have cash to cover the cost of your meal along with the tip for the server. Even with being there over a year, to not accept credit cards is a real inconvenience for the customer.

Love the place.One Waitress there seems to not really pay much attention, but when she's on it, she's good. The rest of the wait staff I couldn't complain about.Avoid the pizza. The dough tastes like store bought frozen dough.However, do NOT let that stop you from trying everything else on the menu. Their salads are great, their burgers are damn decent for the size and price and who ever offered a Waffle Bun?!Hoagies are so huge they are falling off the pizza pans they deliver it on.The Pepperoni Log is a lovely combination of grease and awesomeness. Delicious.I love the portioning most of all, but most everything is good quality too. The back restaurant is such a great atmosphere, and the owner Ralph is a stand up guy to chat with.

Do not recommend this place!! I ordered a grilled chicken salad and got canned chicken in it! I could smell the canned chicken as soon as it was placed in front of me. Pizza is nothing to brag about either. Will not be back. If I could give this place a zero I would.

Grilled chicken salad comes with canned chicken. Wings were great. Calzone was huge.

This place I ask myself how are they in business still we got 2 chicken salad and asked for grilled and they put can can can chicken on our salads who does that? Really don't ever order food from them.

My family & I love the buck hut. Amazing food and friendly service. The portion sizes are huge and the specials are a great value.

Yesterday was my birthday and after work it was so hot I figured on getting something cold for dinner like a salad. I had never ordered a grilled chicken salad from Baker's buck hut before so I figured I would give them a try being as though the normal place I order from was closed. When I called, I asked for a grilled chicken salad. I go there to pick it up and I walk into the dining room, I'm sitting there for probably five minutes no one's coming out into the dining room to acknowledge me. There was one table full of people and they saw me waiting and told me to try opening the back door and closing it to get someone's attention so I did and nothing. So I leave and I walk around the front to where the bar is and I'm instantly met with a cloud of cigarette smoke. I just can't believe that when someone places an order you're going to have it sitting in a stinky smoky bar waiting for someone to pick it up instead of in the restaurant part of the building where there is no smoking allowed. That's disgusting! And the ladies like can I help you and I'm like yeah I've been waiting in the restaurant for my food and no one's coming out. She apologized and said that her beepers must not be working. So then I get home and I open up the container and I can instantly smell canned chicken and I thought to myself this can't be canned chicken. Oh it most certainly was canned chicken. I can honestly say with everything in my soul that I have never ordered from a restaurant that serves canned chicken in their salad. If I would've known this I would have ordered something else. When someone calls asking for grilled chicken you would think that they would tell you that it was not grilled and that it was in fact canned chicken.I felt like I was eating dog food and it was disgusting. The amount of sodium in that canned chicken is through the roof. I'm not one to waste my money and I was hungry so I tried to eat it, I ate a few bites and threw it in the trash. I didn't bother calling the place to complain because what's the use? If that's how they do things there and that's the ingredients that they put in their salads then they're not gonna change just because of me so there was no point in calling. I'm just trying to give y'all a heads up so you don't pick the chicken salad the next time you place an order from there
