For a small local brewery, their drinks are fantastic. Never had a beer I didn't like here and trivia is always popping here. Great spot!

I was here for a holiday party. It was a nice sized space for the group. We brought our own food and got drinks at the bar. The staff were friendly and overall bar service was good. It's a local brewery to visit in the heart of Dormont.

I really liked it here! They had a great selection and the drinks were so good, it's such a nice place to hangout with lots of different places to sit. We met the owner and he was so nice and showed us around, I can't wait to see how they expand! Can't wait to go back!

I stopped by this past Friday with my wife for some evening beverages. Backyard Alley Brewing had been on my Yelp list of breweries to try for a while and so was a logical choice on a rare free night for us. This brewery is located right on Liberty Ave in Dormont and on the night we were they had a food truck outside. The inside is interesting as it's divided into a bar type area on one side and a dining room type area on the other. There are many large floor to ceiling windows which let in natural light and then the floor looks like hardwood but is likely vinyl. They had pictures of their beers on the walls and on the night I was there I thought it felt quite a bit warm inside. As I often do whenever I visit a new brewery, I went with a flight at back alley brewing. The flight here consisted of 4 beers and was priced per beer. Mine all ended up at $3 a pop and so the fight was $12 total. My first beer was the Through the fog, a New England IPA. It was a nice light citrus ipa with lots of bitterness and hops on the backend. Second for me was the Mountain of gold, a Pittsburgh style lager. This beer started out smooth with some nice malts at the finish. Up third was MacKinlay an Irish Stout. This stout had a smooth start before some sweeter malts at the finish. Last but certainly not least was the Study Abroad, a German Pils. This beer starts off clean with a pronounced hop flavor I associate with pilsners from the mid through the finish. Out of the bunch I think that the ipa was my favorite closely followed by the stout. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. My beers here were solid and there quite a few types in can pours only that I would like to have tried.

An amazing brewery that brews all its beers onsite! Delicious fresh beers! I really liked the Brewed Awakening- a blonde coffee stout. It was light, refreshing and tasted like coffee. They are Bring Your Own Food or check out rotating food trucks! Located on West Liberty Avenue in Dormont. Indoor & outdoor seating available!!! Great spot!

Lovely brewery in Dormont! We stoped here when we were walking the pup and was prefect as it has plenty of out door seating and a new, clean inside as well. I got a strawberry margarita sour and it was super refreshing and perfect for the nice day. Also all of the workers are super kind and friendly to both us and the dog! We will be back.

A cool local brewery. It's located in an old bank, and still seems like it inside and outside. The inside is pretty plain with a small bar with a few high top tables on the outside of the room. Not a very lively or super relaxing atmosphere, but it does the job if you're just looking for a quick drink. The beer menu is on the smaller side containing 11 options, with in-house brewed drafts. I ordered the cherry wheat ale and enjoyed it. It was a little more on the bitter side, rather than sweet, but still good. They were supposed to have a food truck on-site, however it didn't arrive and the bartender wasn't sure if it would be coming despite it on the schedule. Overall, it's a simple average bar with solid beer.

Had a chance to go to their grand opening last night and had a nice time!! The place was packed, so such a relief! I liked the ordering station and had great service. They had food trucks outside, however we missed their closing time so didn't eat from it.The overall space was well done but it seemed louder than it should have been. However, this was one of the smoother opening events I've been to.

Amazing beer with multiple choices like the DorMonster, cool Pittsburgh sodas, yinz, Just 3app chips to eat though. They have food trucks often. I'm pretty sure the only waiter is the owner who is super nice. Cool design, go-to Sunday boy night.

Decent place with good beer. The inside will hopefully gain some character as they stay open longer
