August Henry's Burger Bar

Ratatouille lives! I stopped into August Henry's last night, lured by the siren song of karaoke. The food was m'eh (soggy fries, mushy veggie burger, and stale bun) and the drinks were weak (don't bother with the $7 Long Island). The worst part was that there was a happy little mouse exploring the dining area outside the kitchen. After watching it meander a little too close to where I was sitting, I alerted the bartender to the existence of their furry guest. No joke, she looked me in the eye and said it must have come in through the front door since they had it open. She didn't look surprised or concerned. Sometimes the reaction (or lack there of, in this case) is worse than the offense. It's too bad that the restaurant is so bad, because the karaoke part of the evening was delightful.

AUGUST HENRYS will always be my favorite. They are so friendly and the food is always amazing. We go on Fridays for Karaoke night and it's always so lively. I would recommend this place. We got bones less bites and a patty melt and I would suggest other stuff on the menu like the zucchini planks, chipotle burger, and pierogis.

Food: The burgers were pretty good but we didn't get anything aside from that. I had the Big Mac style burger and girlfriend had the yinzer, we both liked them quite a bit. I got a side of their extra hot wing sauce for my fries and it was crazy hot and pretty tasty. Fries were good Service: Food took a long, long time to come out. Was a bit frustrated with how long we sat waiting for our check after too. We weren't in a huge rush but spent more time their then we wanted to. Everyone was nice though.Ambiance: We sat at the bar, it was a nice area. I have been in cleaner places but you'll have it. General dining area looked nice too. Overall: Not in a huge hurry to go back, but happy we tried it out.

Was looking for something to eat while my daughter had a break from her dance competition. We chose this place because of its location. The menu had a nice variety and the prices were not bad. Inside had an older pub vibe which was nice and the staff were very friendly. They had a lot of things that looked good on the menu, but the one thing that caught my eye was the jam burger. I ordered that and upgraded to the sweet potato fries. The burger was good and the sweet potato fries were some of the best I've ever had. Would definitely recommend this place.

Great neighborhood bar. Took my sons there at 4 on a Saturday afternoon. Pens fans were also starting to trickle in before the game. Happy hour specials were good and included $2 off selected apps. We had the fried zucchini and boneless chicken bites. The fried zucchini was great--thin and crunchy. The chicken was also very good (real chicken breast, not processed nuggets) and both apps were plenty for the three of us to share. The Pittsburgh Steak Salad had real steak and the fries were crispy, so I was happy. My youngest son had the cheeseburger from the kid's menu and loved it. It was a pretty big burger, too. Shout out to our server Eliza who was super attentive considering how busy they were. We'll certainly be back.

Dear Yelpers,Another stop on our mini bar hop was this little quaint spot we found. We were trying to get to Bridges and Bourbon but apparently they were "too busy". The drinks here were good and the deals were pretty sweet! Long Island was all Island and only $7! I got a frozen margarita mix, specialty of our bartender. They even had a jukebox so we could get the party semi going. Might have to actually get some food next time!!Your friendly neighborhood foodie

Had lunch Friday had to say Disappointment! Waitress(Cheryl I believe) barely gave us the time of day. Burgers sub par only fries saved it. When I complained she was dismissive and said "they just throw it on the grill". Another table complained about their food to their waitress who was more than happy to make it right. Steak n Shake would have been better!

Had patty melt and smash Berger. Both delicious! Had chips and salsa, and wine! They do have White Zinfandel wine too! Not too many places offer it. Loved it!

We were there on Saturday. All of a sudden my boyfriend drops his burger and says, stop, we are done. He goes over to where 2 employees were sitting and then he points on the wall. There was a bug that crawled up the wall, and was just sitting on the wall. Said employee made no effort to kill it, no effort to get a manager, nothing just stared at the bug. He asked for the check, paid the check in full (even though we were 1 bite in) and we left.

I fucking ordered a goddamn burger... HOW CAN YOU FUCK UP A BURGER???? shit never again. no onion as was described. THE EGG WAS FUCMKNG BLACK. THE BACON WAS THE SIZE KF A SHRIMP.... the "medium rare" patty was ducking dry. fuckyou all
