August Falls Winery

We really enjoyed out stop at August Falls Winery. The owners were friendly and talkative, welcoming. The wines were also very good. It's just the kind of place you want to support by coming back again and again.

I was honestly extremely impressed with this winery. It's a small, family owned place. This is not a high muckity-muck place where you need to worry about how tight your tie is around your neck, or how long your shirt sleeves are. However, I will say this. I loved -every- wine we tried. I ran through the gambit of their wines, and I was impressed by every one of them. The quality, clarity, and taste honestly outperformed places that you'd expect to be much better. Their wines have a smoothness, quality and drinkability that highly outperforms other places. This has quickly become one of my favorite wineries. It's a place where you can go to let your hair down, be COMFORTABLE, and still be IMPRESSED with extremely high quality wine!Highly suggest trying EVERYTHING. But, I will do a shout-out to their Vidal, their Niagara and their fruit wines. I will also add this. I normally HATE cabernet. It's just not my thing, honestly. But...this place is the ONLY cabernet that I've found that I can tolerate... and actually LIKE and ENJOY it! They truly run the place concerned with your experience, and how good their wines are. It's quite obvious they actually take the quality of their wine seriously. Highly recommend!

This place is a hole in the wall with great hospitality and a great atmosphere! The owners are very friendly and talkative. They supplied us with popcorn without even asking and the regulars are so friendly! We loved our experience here and wish we could come more often.

Good wines, friendly owners, pretty property! What a nice afternoon. There are falls just a three minute walk away and we'll worth it.

They had a good assortment of dry wines. I liked the atmosphere. The employee gave us a few different chocolates to pair with the wines.

Very good wine! Great people who own the place! We will be back again! Nice waterfall in the back yard.

Unfortunately the location is a converted barn, which isn't of itself a bad thing. But unfortunately they do not have a good dedicated walkway to get in their front door. My wife who is 62 years old fell in the mud that was outside leading to the doorway. Is if that wasn't bad enough they didn't even offer us a discount to purchase wine. Safe to say we will not be going back.

Felt like we were at home, enjoying a great wine and good company. We were unexpected guest today and Dean made us feel right at home. Dean takes great pride in his wine making.
