A great addition to ASCEND's growing number of locations (including ASCEND South Side and ASCEND Youngstown)! I loved that the bouldering area has routes that feel more like comp-style, even in the beginner grade ranges. Everything was pretty well spread out and not overcrowded, while still allowing for more than enough climbs to try in a climbing session. Highlights:- 42' lead climbing, top-roping, and auto-belay walls- lots of parking spaces- TWO training boards with adjustable angles- larger kitchenette space for lounging/study breaks/etc.

This gym just opened a few days ago, so I was excited to check it out and do some climbing. I was impressed by the large top roping section. This place is definitely one of the best is Pittsburgh now for top roping. The bouldering area is also large and impressive. There are a few treadmills and some weight equipment in the fitness area. For those that want to get the most out of a membership here, there is a nice cafe/study nook in the corner that would be great for doing some computer work or studying in between climbs. If you like indoor climbing, I definitely recommend stopping by!

This place is huge. The pics I posted were of just 1 section. They also have a bouldering space and a little gym/warmup area as well. The bathrooms were clean and the workers were helpful and pleasant. Would recommend

The Point Breeze and Southside Locations are the two best climbing gyms I've ever been to. Super friendly staff, helpful community, clean environment, fair prices, and tons of other benefits included in the membership and day passes. Point Breeze is notably better for high wall climbing, while still having tons of bouldering and even a wall for crack climbing. Both climbing gyms have plenty of normal gym equipment like free weights, treadmills, etc. Both gyms also have large windows, high ceilings, a kitchen to prepare snacks, and super chill environments if you're wanting to climb in-between "working from home" . I'll expand my review and add pictures later. 5/5; I usually go at least 3 times a week.
