Asahi Fusion

After many hours in the car, I didn't want to drive anywhere for dinner and this was walking distance from the hotel. The sushi was good and reasonably priced. One pet peeve - eel should be served warm but it was not. What was annoying was the drink menu. They have a very extensive menu, but they don't have any of the things on it! I asked for a lychee martini. No. I asked for plum wine (they had 2 varieties listed). No. They have a full page of different sakes. The only one they actually had was the standard house hot sake that they have everywhere. I also tried to order dessert. They said they had strawberry or vanilla mochi. Nope. Only vanilla. I had to send it back. The texture was all wrong. It must have been defrosted and refrozen. The server was nice and I think he genuinely felt badly to keep having to tell me they didn't have any of the things I was trying to order.

Stopped in on a weekday evening and was promptly sat and greeted. The menu itself has probably close to 100 items between lunch deals, sashimi, sushi, hibachi and appetizers. We did not drink although the cocktail menu was approximately 30 drinks long. Food tasted fresh and we were served quickly. Excited to come back and try additional items!

I ordered very spicy Chicken with mixed vegetables and chicken was stale. I didn't eat chicken. I called the store immediately as it was snowing and the gentleman told me to get another one. I told him I will get one day. I called last week and he didn't believe me and told me he won't give me free . Please do order takeout from here.

As you can see I hardly touched my ramen... the food was sub par at best. the broth lacked flavor, and the beef was somehow a level above well-done. in addition to this, two huge pieces of bok choy were shoved under the bowl to give it a bigger portion appearance. my friend ordered the chicken hibachi, and i'm afraid I have hardly anything good to say about it. aside from the portion (which is hardly noted due to the fact that the dish cost 20$) and the tenderness of the chicken, the dish was highly lacking flavor and body. the marinade I assume the chicken was in was bland, and the supposed yum-yum sauce was practically mayo. my boyfriend ordered the spicy dragon noodles which were quite good, and lived up to their name, HOT. the sauce actually had flavor which was nice, although there were some massive pale chunks of tomato that seemed soggy.lastly to highlight the best part of the meal, I ordered two pieces of yellowtail sashimi (which I would NOT have ordered if I had tried their other dishes first.) I surprisingly didn't regret this decision, as this was actually some high quality fish. the cuts were thick and the meat had a lovely natural shade of red. it fell apart on my tongue and I can say it's some of the best yellowtail i've had here in morgantown. unfortunately the radish shavings were quite soggy. I would not recommend this restaurant unless you plan to only get sashimi or the dragon noodles.

We booked a hibachi table for 6 guests at 7 pm to celebrate my daughter's graduation. We arrived on time and were seated promptly. At 7:30 we still had not been acknowledged at our seats or even been given water. At 7:45 our waiter finally came by to take our order-3 cocktails, a lemonade, waters, 3 appetizers and 6 hibachi meals. He also ran to get a wine menu at our request. He got the waters a few minutes later. We asked about the wine, so he brought us the bottle, unopened with no glasses and seemed shocked by our request to open the bottle and get wine glasses. By this time was around 8:10. The waiter came back saying he had lost our hibachi order and needed it again. 2 of the 3 appetizers were delivered around 8:15 pm. Still no cocktails or lemonade. The hibachi chef arrived and started his show. The cocktails were delivered, but still no lemonade. We also never got the soup and salad that was part of the hibachi meal. The hibachi chef was entertaining and that portion of the meal was good. We got our bill and saw that we were charged for the missing items. I went to the bar area and asked our waiter and he just smiled and apologized but kind of shrugged his shoulders like "oh well, what can I do?" I asked for the manager, who was one of the hibachi chefs. He did have the waiter take the missing items off the bill. I also said the we didn't get the soup or salad with our dinners and was told that they were free so nothing needed to be done. I said they were included in the price, they were not free. He offered to take $6 off of our $250 bill, insisting that the items were free. Keep in mind if purchased a la cart, each item is $2.95, so almost $36. He did finally agree to take one entree off the bill. I know it was a busy night, but it got busier about 30 minutes after we were sat and everyone else seemed to have service. Our waiter never checked on us so we couldn't ask about things. So while the food we got was okay, the service was so abysmal I can't recommend this establishment to anyone.

I had been a regular customer at Asahi Fusion for the last year or so but the service has deteriorated of late. We ate in at Suncrest in the past month or so and the food was sub par as noted in a recent February 2024 review. We decided to give them one more try and placed a pick up order this past week. The simple order was repeatedly confused on the phone but, after a few tries, the person finally got it right. I picked it up around 9:00 pm and they confirmed my order but, when I brought it home, the order was wrong ... leaving aside the food was definitely sub par and overpriced. I called the restaurant to ask if we could get the correct order, and no one answered. I called the next day and was told I should have called the previous night ... when I let them know I had called the previous night, the manager blew up and said too bad as they don't need any more customers ... that November 2023 review as to the manager being rude was right on!! Better to go elsewhere where customers are appreciated.

Nice atmosphere but food is mediocre at best. Severs are very pleasant and accommodating.

On word that comes to mind..Yuck. Your socks are safe from being blown off with this stinker of a place. Save your money for Japanese steakhouse cuisine from the OG Fusion steakhouse located at 201 Fusion street in Morgantown. This is an inferior product asking you to pay superior prices for basic no thrills subpar food. Thanks, but no thanks (-5 stars).

food was absolutely DELICIOUS, the salmon sashimi melted in my mouth and the steak was cooked perfectly. 10/10

We will be back soon! Service was friendly and fast. We arrived in the early afternoon and it was quiet, but I think that's always nice. The food was delicious. We got the Love Boat and the crab rangoon appetizer. Everything was fresh and the wasabi was nice and spicy. I think the price point is perfect also. Can't wait to go back and try the cocktails as those also sounded really good.
