Gaucho's food truck. Really wonderful food prepared by a hard-working staff. Our orders were completed very quickly, and the results were spectacular. Everything is cooked on an outdoor grill, and that gives the food a delicious smokey flavor. This has to be one of the best food trucks in the city.

Good lord have you ever had a chicken plate from asado? If not, get you a chicken plate because I guarantee you will never roast your own chicken again and think it tastes good. These people are the grill masters - you will in no way be disappointed with the meats. So amazing.

We tried Asado's while visiting Helicon Brewery this past month. Initially we were planning on picking up some Thai to enjoy at the brewery but as fate would have it the establishment was closed and we found ourselves in need of some sustenance. We had to wait until 5 to order but once ordered our food came out rather quickly. I got the Bondiola, which is roasted pork with onyinz, (nice yinzer reference) and Dijon. It came with some chips for $8.56. My husband went the route I should have went and got their Bahn Mi. Let me start by saying how jealous I was when I saw his sandwich. The kimchi slaw and cilantro was quite appetizing and the meat was very flavorful. My pork sandwich with the tang of the mustard and the sweetness of the sweated down onions was a solid choice but his really was a home run. So to anyone faced with this conundrum, unless you have a disdain for chicken (BTW they have a veggie option for Veg heads) go with their bahn mi. Simply delicious. Oh and hugs are free, just in case you want to stock up.

This food truck was at Helicon Brewery and we ordered a few sandwiches here. We were hungry when we got to this brewery and I was exited that they were here. I work right by Gaucho and I always can smell their food so I was looking forward to this. They opened at 5pm and I went in line to order. I got the Chicken Bahn Mi for about $10 and my wife ordered the Roasted pork sandwich for $9. I didn't have to wait long and our sandwiches were ready in less than 5 minutes. I really liked my Bahn Mi. It was delicious. My wife liked her sandwich but I think she would give a 3.5 out of 5 and my Bahn Mi was a 5 out of 5. Just look at the picture I took and you can see how good it looked. This brewery got packed and everybody was eating from Asado. If you see this food truck anywhere make sure that you get in line and try them out if you never have. It goes great with some craft beer.

When my husband mentioned that Gaucho Parrilla Argentina's food truck would be at The Brew Gentlemen last night, I knew that I just had to check it out! I have tried a number of Pittsburgh's local trucks, and Asado is one of the most impressive. The vehicle itself is large and well-designed and looks very appealing. I expected for the food truck and brewery to be busy, but insanely crowded is a better way to describe our experience. The food truck had a line of 20+ people at all times, which is truly a testament to how delicious the food is. The hubby and I split a steak platter, wings, a chorizo sandwich, and corn. Everything was absolutely delicious! The steak was well cooked to medium rare/medium and seasoned to savory perfection. Not typically a wing fan, but I enjoyed these wings, covered with a tasty blend of spices and crispy skin. Finally, the chorizo sandwich was mildly spicy and stuffed full of grilled bell peppers.Asado does a great job of cranking food out quickly, and I would definitely return to The Brew Gentlemen sometime soon for another great dinner and beer combo.

This is the Gaucho food truck, so of course it's amazing. Since Gaucho always has those long lines, it's worth it to know where this truck will be. I recently caught it at a Wigle event. We got in line at the perfect time because after we got our food, we noticed how long the line had gotten. Probably had to only wait 5 minutes, but the line behind us quickly got to be 25+ people. The food was finished quickly, which I think is very important for a food truck.Obviously, this is a severely limited menu compared to the restaurant. There was still a good variety of items to choose from. When we were there though, the food truck didn't look so hot for vegetarians. They had a salad, but the other entree items had meat. I got the chorizo sandwich, which came with chips. The sausage was really well done and I liked that the sandwich had peppers on it. I think the roll was from breadworks since it seemed really similar to the rolls we pick up from Penn Mac for sausage sandwiches. My boyfriend got the pork and beans. They were the best baked beans I've ever had, and the pork was moist and delicious. We split the chicken on a stick too and the meat was really flavorful and tender. The other entree choice was a steak platter and they had a couple sides like baked beans and corn. Checking out this truck is 100% worth it since it's a mini Gaucho and you can check out whatever event the truck is parked at too.

I've never been to Gaucho's restaurant but after hearing the reviews of it I instantly decided to check out the mobile truck. I knew I was in for a treat when I saw the smoker connected to the truck. It tastes as great as it smells. I immediately thought "All that money for three wings it better be worth it." It was that and beyond! The people on the truck are awesome peeps and the food was just as great. The chicken was tender, flavorful and perfectly seasoned. Gaucho is like gourmet BBQ. I would definitely put them in my top five food trucks in the Burgh.

Loved it. Also love their Thursday spot in Castle Shannon! They even saw we had a baby with us and let us know it would be a bit for the burger so we could wait in the car if we wanted. Also, when I ordered some of the ingredients I was unfamiliar with witch I am okay trying but was answer allergy questions without hesitation. Food was awesome! No need to say more.

Ive generally had good interactions with this food truck on several occasions, but after trying to offer a suggestion of more veg/pescatarian recently, felt compelled to leave a review. Politely asking if they have anything besides the veg-head (a delicious vegetarian option, by the way, but one which hasnt changed in the dozen times I have had it), was merely directed to the sides menu. While also delicious, being offered a second rate experience wasnt really what I was going for. The suggestion they should offer another or rotating veg or fish item was met with hostility, a scolding reminder that "we are a meat bbq truck". Sorry, Ive been to gaucho and there are a dozen fish and veg options. Your name is "asado mobile kitchen", not asado meat wagon with an attitude. Again, the food is delicious, but it tastes better without a side of scorn for trying to avoid meat.
