Argonne Cafe

I live out of town, but when I am in the area I always stop by and have some food and a few drinks. The griller fries are awesome and their chef salad is huge. The service is great, never have to wait for anything, staff is attentive to your needs.

The service, the food, the drinks. This quickly became one of my go to restaurants in town. Everything is exceptional and when they have bands play they are exceptional too. I would give them 10 stars but was limited to 5.

Great little off the grid kinda bar that my wife & I like.We were here on a Sunday afternoon on a bike and someone told us to stop by and I'm glad we did.Ordered the special on Sunday of a chili hot dog($1.00) & ordered an order of Hog Wings & a blue cheese burger.Well let me tell you all was very good & my wife & I split it all. Very good food for the price and a great atmosphere as far as we are concerned. We will for sure be back when we are in the areaNeed to check this place out.

First time and it certainly won't be the last. I had the Danwood with hot peppers processed weekly onsite... oh wow. Friends had chicken enchilada soup....EXCELLENT and a chicken salad served in a retro pyrex serving dish...and he ate every bite! Decor is retro with astounding chalk artwork on opposing boards...you have to see it to believe it. Wait staff is beyond friendly and professional. Music isn't too loud... easy to sit and chat.

The service was on point, impressive for such a tiny little place. I had some trouble finding it with my GPS. I just had an appetizer but it was good.

Service was good. Food was not very memorable. Overall a good lunch spot for friends and coworkers but not somewhere I would likely frequent.

Been doing business in the area for years. At the hotel I asked for a local spot instead of the typical chain restaurants. Here I am and I must say very satisfied! Good food, friendly staff and drinks. Pub food with cocktails done well!

The food is really good. The grilled fries, tavern ham sandwich, and salads are awesome! The bartenders are great, especially Lilly. Michelle does awesome chalk drawings and it adds a really cool ambiance to the otherwise "meh" establishment. The beer selection is lacking. Would love to see some more IPAs. Don't go for trivia. The owner assists teams in cheating. It really takes away from the fun of trivia when he's helping half the bar answer. The trivia master is really good, but unfortunately the owner decides who he would like to win. If you're looking for trivia, go to Champs on Tuesday nights. It's managed much better and a better prize. It's worth coming back in the future, just not for trivia night.

The food was under cooked and the onions were burnt! And the garlic toast was hard as a rock, burnt on one side and barely toasted on the other!

Went there for a fish dinner. The service was great and fish ok but....they had a few gaming machines and the girl that was playing it was actually screaming to the top of her voice. It was so disturbing it ruined our evening. Spoke to management but they did nothing. So we will do nothing and never go back. Shame on the management for allowing such behavior Never go back nor would I ever recommend it
