Fantastic apples! Great people that work there. These apples are fresh and crisp. The chocolate is yummy and the caramel is decadent. Just make sure the apple is at room temp when you cut it. Makes great favors and all. I use them for teachers gifts. I get so many thank you's from them. These are so amazing P.s. better and yummer than those ones on TV...FYI. plus local!

4.5 stars overall. Applelicious was founded in 1999. It specializes in gourmet apples and also makes other chocolate treats. Applelicious sells many flavors of apples and pretzels, including plain chocolate, pecan, cashew, M&Ms, and Reese's Pieces. Their chocolates include buckeyes, cashew turtles, pecan caramel turtles, cinnamon grahams, and Oreo cookies. Through their website, I ordered Buckeyes ($6.95), cinnamon grahams ($2.50), a plain pretzel ($4.50), and a roasted pecan apple ($12.95). UPS shipping cost $11.70. The next day, UPS delivered the package to my house--very fast! Applelicious had packed the correct types of chocolates. The Buckeyes (5 stars) tasted very peanut-buttery, and even my husband commented that he liked them. One cinnamon graham (4.5 stars) was milk chocolate, and the other was white chocolate, and I enjoyed the flavors. The plain pretzel (4.5 stars) was a rod that was covered in a very wide layer of caramel and chocolate. The gourmet apple (3.5 stars) was a Granny Smith apple that was large, crisp, and juicy, and it was covered in caramel, milk chocolate, and pecans. My husband and I did not like having pecans on our apple, but that is the flavor that I had chosen. I should have played it safer and ordered the plain chocolate flavor.

Great shop for your chocolate needs. If you buy fruit, even covered in chocolate and candy, it's still healthy. You couldn't ask for a more friendly owner to help pick out your selections. All the while, the shop smells of the best chocolate aroma. Can't wait to go back.

While home for Easter I had to go to "Appleicious" in Carnegie. The owner is a wonderful gentleman, hilarious and so helpful. Living in the deep south now, I was craving his apples and pretzels. The assortment he carries and sweetly decorates seasinally. The quaint store has been in the same location for over 12 yrs. And I love that he does custom orders and ships all over. I can't wait for my friends to taste his apples when I get back home in the deep south! Look at how yummy and beautifully decorated these are too! You are missing out if you don't stop and see them...

Nestled in the town of Carnegie sits this cute Apple shop - who would have known! The Store owner was ... amazing! We walked in to a big HoHoHo-- which immediately put a smile on all our faces! thank you for being in the holiday spirit! Little things like that make ya wants come back! The owner took the time to explain how his apples are made and the differences in the siZes. We even got the hIstory in how he got started ...even my niece walked out saying just how nice the owner was - and she is a teenager :). This is my new go to Apple place ... only got a few on this first visit but plan to go back before Christmas to snag a few more for Xmas gifts.

Simply the best. Better than the others. Great for every occasion. Paul is a great guy, with a great staff. The kitchen is very clean. I highly recommend

When we were planning our fall wedding a few years ago, my (now) wife had the brilliant idea of getting chocolate/caramel apples as wedding favors. I was reluctant at first, as I never had a really great caramel apple in the past, but we decided to move forward and I stumbled upon Applelicious right here on Yelp as we were out-of-towners looking for vendors in the Pittsburgh Area. I called the location and worked with Paul to create the perfect apple/packaging combination for our wedding. Paul was extremely friendly and responsive, making the entire process a breeze. The day before the wedding, we stopped by the shop to pick the apples up and were blown away by Paul's hospitality and warmth. The apples looked amazing, but it felt like we had made a new friend as well.I am not exaggerating when I say that these apples were the talk of the wedding! My wife and I just celebrated our second anniversary and we STILL have friends and family tell us that our treats from Applelicious were the best wedding favors they have received to this day. And me? Well, you should know that this original caramel-apple naysayer is ADDICTED to these. No other apple or chocolate covered treat that I've ever had can compare. Although we live in NYC, Paul and the team at Applelicious know to expect a call from me each year on our anniversary when I buy a batch of apples prepared in the exact same fashion as our wedding. And each year, they are even better than we remembered.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Paul is just about the nicest man you will ever meet and his apples aren't too shabby either.

What a GEM this shop is! The caramel and chocolate apples are huge, gorgeous, and decadent in all the best ways. They are chocolate-dipping the cutest little seasonal treats you've ever seen (Oreos, pretzels, Krispie treats) and the incredibly friendly owner, Paul, was happy to bring them out to my car. We will definitely be back, and I can't think of a holiday where their candies and apples wouldn't be THE best gift to send!

This is probably the best candy apple store in Pittsburgh. Great service. Great for gift baskets. Great price. They cater large events. You can't ask for anymore.

Absolutely love Paul and his staff. They're chocolate is the best around and such a great friendly atmosphere!
