Apericena Wine Bar

Cozy wine bar to have a small gathering. Our server was nice and food and drinks came out fast. I enjoyed the flatbread pizza and fall themed mule. Holiday decorations were up so it was festive night to meet and be out for an after work social.

Great choice of wine but no atmosphere at at all. Also it was kind of heard to find cos google shows another side of the building

Perfect place for enjoying wine night with friends ‍A group of ladies & I all really enjoyed our recent Friday night at Apericena celebrating #SienaLightNight21. If you're a newbie to wine or an expert Apericena has the wine list for you. It might just be the longest by the glass list in Pittsburgh! I highly recommend Apericena for discovering & trying new wines. They even have seasonal flights that are perfect for expanding your wine palate. The flights are served in a beautiful tower presentation, perfect for Instagram photos. The bar itself is also very instagrammable with visually interesting design elements like backlit glass storage, trendy wallpaper, wine storage built-ins and a chic white stone bar. Beyond the wine and the ambiance Apericena also offers cocktails, beer, small plates, snacks, charcuterie and flatbreads. Apericena also often hosts local musicians for live entertainment. There is also an outdoor fountain and a seating area to enjoy. Highly recommend indulging in a night at Apericena.

I love Apericena! It's one of the hidden gems of the south hills. When they have live acoustic music the vibe is even better! I love their selection of wines and cocktails. And their flatbreads are 10/10! Always love being here, especially in the summer with outdoor and indoor seating! Staff is super accommodating with reservations and very friendly every time

I have long been awaiting trying Apericena since my friend moved to the area, and last night did not disappoint! We were there when they opened at 5 and were the only ones there. It was such a lovely experience. We started with wine flights. I did red and she did white. We both loved our respective flights, and then we ended the evening with a glass of Prosecco. We also ordered the signature charcuterie board and the Italian flatbread. I really enjoyed both of those, but they weren't as good as the wine. What I loved is that when we wanted to order dessert, although they don't offer dessert, they let us go grab from Everything Bundt Cakes and Duck Donuts (in the same plaza) and bring it back to the restaurant!! How fun. We will definitely be making this a new staple spot.

Apericena is a classy and intimate wine bar. The decor is sleek and trendy, with a bit of a romantic vibe. They offer any kind of wine you could ever want - served by the glass or by the bottle. They even have a couple beer options if wine isn't your thing. We decided to get the wine flight with four pours, so that we could try a few different wines. We chose 2 whites and 2 reds and enjoyed them all! Some of the wine options are more pricey, but they also have more affordable options, too. There's truly something for every taste and every budget. The only down side is their hours. As other reviews have mentioned, they have strange hours that are very limited. I had tried to stop by a couple times before this visit, and they had been closed each time.

I love this place! Regular live music and fantastic wine selection with very knowledgeable staff. Get the Spanish charcuterie its the best ;)

Great atmosphere and good music on Thursday. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the wine selection. The seasoned almonds and the Spanish charcuterie board are great. Nice place for a date or night with the girls!

The wine list is very good. Easily found a wine I enjoyed with the help of the server. They are very knowledgeable about wine. Was able to enjoy the evening with seating outside. Beautiful evening. Menu is limited but met our needs and was very tasty. This is my second time here and enjoyed the evening.

My wife and I have been looking for a good date spot in the South Hills, and we were so happy with Apericena for our date night! The ambiance is amazing...it's exactly what you'd want a wine bar to be. We did not feel at all like we were in the middle of the suburbs. We tried both of their featured wine flights and their signature charcuterie board. Every wine featured on the flights was approachable, with a nice variety. The charcuterie was just what we were looking for. As expected, it was not a cheap date. For 18 oz of wine and one charcuterie board, we were in for over $70, but the service, food, and wine were all great. Would definitely recommend!
