Anthony's Wood Fired

Hadn't been here in a long time - but today we had a banquet after a family funeral. We enjoyed a beautiful and spacious room, elegant tables, and a scrumptious buffet. What really impressed me, though, and why I will try to make it a point to return, is that I surveyed the buffet and commented to my mom that at least I could eat salad and potatoes. An alert staffer heard me and came right over to ask if I had a dietary restriction. No sooner were the words "gluten free" out of my mouth, than she offered to have something special made.I certainly didn't expect anyone to go out of their way for me, but she insisted, and they made a wonderful chicken filet for me without breading. In a world that is often selfish, I felt cared for and it made a hard day a little easier.Thank you, Anthony's staff!!

Wood fired pizzas were fantastic and lunch special prices can't be beat! Super friendly service too!

I absolutely loved Anthony's! I had the lasagna and it was so delicious! It was thick and tasty and the sauce was very good as well. I had cheesecake for dessert and I can't say enough good things about it, either! Fantastic! I recommend Anthony's! Service was excellent, too!

First time being at Anthony's and it truly is the best Italian food in the area! I got the spaghetti with meatballs which came with a bun and Italian wedding soup, my friend got Chicken Parmesan with a bun and wedding soup. Let me tell you the sauce on the spaghetti was perfect, it wasn't watery like other places in the area and that's saying something. Both of the buns came out hot with softened butter on the side, the meatballs were handmade and had amazing flavor (to die for), the soup had all kinds of flavor, and it was only $12...deff couldn't beat the price! The chicken Parmesan was huge. Came with 2 big pieces of chicken on-top of spaghetti, the flavor was on key, and it was only $18, which could of easily been a $25 meal just for that. Both of us had leftovers for later. Total price was $35 including drinks. MY NEW FAVORITE PLACE!!!

Anthony's was recommend by a local who told us it was his favorite restaurant in Johnstown. We didn't really buy it until we finally went tonight. I was so pleasantly surprised by Anthony's. First we ordered a glass of wine on "wine Wednesday" ($3 per glass... you can't beat that), for entrees we took our server's recommendations. We got chicken Fontino which was cheesy and juicy with a side of pasta (their meat sauce was amazing), and the Margherita pizza which was wood-fire-stove-cooked and absolutely delicious. We ordered the gelato for dessert (chocolate chip espresso) which was incredible. Will definitely return. Per our amazingly attentive and friendly server (Erin), Friday's are their busiest days. What a wonderful place we discovered tonight! Highly recommend, especially for a weeknight.

A great family owned Italian restaurant. I usually dont think if eating here but this particular night we had a banquet. I was nothing but impressed with the quality of the food. Especially since it was mass produced food for a large group. The authentic spaghetti sauce was unforgettable. I thoroughly enjoyed it and the meatballs were as good as ive ever had. They also served an italian breaded chicken which was Cooked well and extremely flavorful. The red skinned potatoes and garlic green beans were excellent as well. They also serve homemade dinner rolls and sone of the best freshly brewed iced tea i have ever had. Service was stellar. Thus is a fantastic place with beautiful banquet halls. What a great experience. I will definitely consider having large celebrations here. Tge only downside is the bar was very limited. And im not sure why but they didnt let us run a bar tab which was most inconvenient. All in all job well done and i would recomnend

Been coming here since i was a kid. Best wedding soup I have ever had. Love the salad bar. Disappointed they took off a peach pecan chicken but thier chicken parm is also really good. Huge peice of chicken moist and tender with a crispy breading. We always go here when we come into town. Its one of favorite places.

Tried their pizza..tastes like the cheese is rancid, definitely not Italian Their other food was good I guess that is why it's more of a after thought menu item

We came here for lunch, everything was delicious. From the server being amazing to the food. The New York strip steak with shrimp was great, medium rare cooked perfectly. The desert was amazing as well! Definitely recommend Anthony's to anyone! Great job to this establishment!

This restaurant obviously caters to the geriatric crowd and/or is still trying to take advantage of Covid Hours where restaurants are barely open. Just look at their website; it's difficult to find their hours of operation, but boldly asterisked on their main page is: * We Reserve the Right to Close Early *. 8:00 p.m. is early!? This doesn't change even for Friday and Saturday; hence geriatric crowd. If you don't want to work or be an actual restaurant, then don't. Certainly Johnstown doesn't have a shortage of restaurants that are there one day then gone the next. Will never attempt to dine at this "restaurant" again.
