This place offers a true "hole in the wall" experience while serving up some of the most delicious burgers imaginable. I sat at the bar and ordered the brunch burger. It was a thick beef patty topped with cheese, bacon, and a fried egg. The burger was astoundingly juicy and seasoned heavily. Fries were pretty standard but they complemented the burger nicely. Highly recommended, though I'm sure you can't go wrong with any of their burgers. The atmosphere is so rugged, it is actually almost charming. The lighting is dark and there is a bit of a smoky smell to the air, though no smoking is allowed at the bar where we sat. There are also a few gambling machines in the back that appeared to be the most high tech thing in the whole place. The atmosphere was really quite retro, though perhaps not by design. The server (can't remember her name) was attentive and friendly. She chatted with my coworker and I while she prepared our burger on the griddle right in front of us. If you are looking for an authentic West Virginia type of experience, this is a great place to try. Just don't bring your kids, because they will not be allowed in!

"Absolutely no children under 21" ...sign on the door was a massive turn off. The buzz you in door lock had our family turn on our heels and leave without another word said. Might be great food, likely a good spot for a cold bottle of beer after work... but this roadside bar looks like an unkempt shack alongside the road, and had us driving further off the road with our ten year old daughter rather than looking into a dark bar with a "buzz you in" tinted door. This place does not inspire confidence. It screams "Leave your credit cards in the car."No parking nearby for semi-trucks either.

This is amazingly one of the top 5 burgers I've ever had, anywhere, in any town - in my entire life! No joke...this is a MUST STOP place off I-70. It easily receives the coveted 5-star rating for that alone...and then the place delivers on resembling an old-school lunch counter with limited seating and a cozy, clean, and friendly environment. It doesn't hurt that they have gambling machines onsite (that pay out winnings) as well...at least, for those who like to test their luck. Give this place a try...for a 1/4 mile further from the chain restaurants it's a no brainer! You'll leave full and you'll definitely save some bucks (cheap eats), unless you go home unlucky in the back rooms.

Food was hot and fresh. Average quality. Typical frozen then fried restaurant food. Disappointing because I ordered the tenders sandwich which the menu said had marinara and provolone. It came plain in a bun. Hot but not as I expected.

THIS IS A BAR. No one under 21 allowed. Great food and service. There is only about 6 seats at the bar and the rest are for gambling. It is Smokey, so we got our food to go. The burgers were delicious.

OK, this is primarily a gambling joint, and we are not gamblers. We went there based on reviews. We both ordered the fish sandwiches, me with onion rings, and my wife with fries. We were both very hungry, but were stuffed with the amount of food we got for a very good price. If we ever drive through Wheeling again, we will stop there and get exactly the same thing. Again, this is a gambling joint, so no one under 21 is allowed at any time. In spite of the "ambiance," this place gets five stars for the food, and the low cost for generous portions. My wife enjoyed sitting at the bar and getting to watch it being cooked just a few feet away.

You can't beat the prices nor the taste. The burgers were pretty outstanding. Terry, our waitress l, was phenomenal and the ratings from other folks were spot on. Definitely worth a stop if you are passing through.

Driving along the interstate and spotted this place on the map. My wife was hesitant but I prevailed for once. Yes, no kids are allowed. It has gambling, get over it and go to McDonalds. Now, this place is a bit of a time warp. About a dozen seats at the counter. Ordered up a couple of the burgers, I think there are 4 choices. You can have what ever add ons (lettuce, onion, pickle etc.) you want. No exaggeration, top ten ever and under $9.00. You can stop here it's absolutely worth it. So I'm eyeing the slot like machines. Made an inquiry from a local as to how they operate. Put $20.00 in, picked a game to play, and figured I'd be back next to my wife in a couple of minutes. Well played for about 15 minutes. Got a free spins award and hit a $450.00 jackpot. Go figure! Definitely looking forward to next opportunity to stop again.
