Andy's Candies

I happened upon this place, heading to a basketball tournament out that way. I stopped in, was pleasantly surprised how wonderfully organized Andy's Candies was. And how knowledgeable and pleasant the staff was. No doubt, the chocolate covered pretzels from Andy's Candies, put every other chocolate pretzel to shame. These are the best around!

Super cute mom & pop spot with EVERYTHING molded in chocolate. Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and the place was dead. The two girls working behind the counter were friendly and attentive. I was surprised to see they had a decent ice cream selection and some chocolate covered fruit. All of the Valentine's day candy was 50% off. I grabbed a few things to try and was not disappointed! For what it's worth, they have cappuccino meltaways similar to Sarris' for $5 less a pound. I'll come back, for sure!

Nice chocolate shop with literally hundreds of choices. Staff were happy to talk about the different candies. All items purchased were delicious! Tye espresso chocolate was heavenly. One may create boxes with individual pieces selected by you. Nice.

We were driving to an event in the Star Lake events area. As we went around a curve, I noticed this colorful store. As I love candy, we stopped for a look around. Everything looked yummy! There was every kind of chocolate Candy as well as lollipops, cotton Candy, popcorn and various other child-pleasing treats. My husband cannot resist coconut, so some came home with us. My Grandchildren chose large colorful lollipops and a bag of cotton Candy, which they immediately started eating in the car. I sampled the coconut...covered with the most delicious chocolate ever! If you're in the area, this is a must stop shop!

Fantastic local candy store! A must for anyone to stop in and try something yummy! Their selection is amazing - if you are looking for a special gift for someone - they have it... not to mention all of their special treats for any holiday!! Right outside of Pittsburgh off of Old Steubinville Pike sits one of the best chocolatiers in the area. Now don't get me wrong, Pittsburgh has some great chocolate makers. Sarris's of Canonsburg and West View's Betsy Ann's both come to mind, but Andy's Candies doesn't take a back seat to either. I've known about Andy's since I was a kid, my father would take us during one of his famous Sunday drives where we would end up on some country road. First stop was Scio's China, long gone, it was known for their fine china and ability to replace broken pieces, or finding hard to find pieces to complete a set. It was my maternal grandmother's favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon... Yawn! Andy's Candies was the third stop after stopping to see cows at a local dairy farm. Finally we'd stop at Andy's and my mom would pick up a pound of raisin clusters, my dad loved their peanut brittle and my Grandmother loved the anniclairs (peanuts, gooey marshmellow and pecans) and I would get the chocolate covered cherries. Today, I'm totally hooked on their sugar free strawberry gummies, and I always get my mom a dozen chocolate covered Ritz Crackers with peanut butter, and a chocolate covered Pizelle. If I went to Andy's and didn't tell her or bring her something I'd be disowned. They have the most innovated chocolate including chocolate covered apricots. Chocolate covered ginger, truffles, sugar free chocolates and the best sea salt caramels on the planet. They also serve ice cream and sell the candy bars no one carries anymore like Turkish Taffy, Milkshake bars, Zagnut, and Black Jack gum. If you find yourself out near 22/30 off the Parkway West, head on over to Andy's Candies and take home a box of bad for you indulgence.

This place is a chocolate heaven. I love all the chocolate covered fruits. My favorite thing about this place is how sweet the staff is even if I just stop to get a few things or a large order. They also have great ice cream. Really recommend them.

Andy's is Always our go-to when gifting chocolate....it is awesome. We send clear to Long Island for family who love it so much!! Their ice cream is good too!!! It's a little expensive, but worth it for special times, or just a few of our fav pieces!!

A bit out of the way but worth stopping by. Great chocolate with variety. Love the chocolate covered pretzels.
