Anchor & Eat - Wexford

Just had a phenomenal lunch at Anchor & Eat! I have celiac disease, so I was pleasantly surprised that all toppings and sauces (including the crispy onions!) were completely gluten free. The employees kindly answered all of my questions.As for the food, I got the Aloha Pittsburgh bowl, which was absolutely loaded with fresh tuna and toppings. Everything in the bowl was ridiculously fresh. I can't wait to go back and try some of the other bowls.

Great food and service! We really enjoyed "The Works" bowl and their crab salad mix was incredible. Will definitely be back.

Almost 4 stars. I need to come back and try a different poke bowl. Convenient location and was exactly what I was craving. Lots of condiments on top and a pretty presentation. Lots of options. I ate the whole thing but it's a good size bowl. I got the salmon but it wasn't that good, which is why I want to try a different protein. All the toppings are good. Quick service. Lots of parking. Definitely pricey for lunch at $17 but you do get a bowl packed with healthy ingredients.

Fresh, clean, bright, and very delicious. Our bowls were very filling and flavorful. I wasn't sure how all the tastes and textures would work together, but it was perfect as listed on the menu. A hidden gem in the North Hills for sure! Staff was friendly.

Awesome experience & even better food. Anchor & Eat is located in Pine Plaza in Wexford. There are a few tables that you can dine in at or order ahead for takeout. Their menu is very large with many options, and almost the entire menu being gluten free. They make all of their sauces in house too! I got the Huli Huli Chicken Bowl and it was amazing. The bowl was packed with white sticky rice, delicious marinated chicken, edamame, cucumber, avocado, carrots and more. It was so filling, definitely enough for two lunches. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area! I can't wait to try their bowls with ahi tuna and salmon.

Anchor & Eat is a casual restaurant that serves Hawaiian poke bowls that customers may choose to customize. As of February 2023, this restaurant's menu lists poke bowls that contain proteins such as tuna, salmon, chicken, pulled pork, and lump crab. The bases are white rice, brown rice, or lettuce. Sides include shrimp tempura, beer-batter fries, seaweed salad, edamame, etcetera. My husband and I each ordered a poke bowl and a beverage, and we shared a side. I rate the customer service as 5 stars. The employee spoke very nicely to us when we were ordering, and after we were done eating, she collected our bowls and told us to have a nice day. Here are my reviews for the foods:Hawaiian Pulled Pork - $15.50 for regular size - 4 stars - I enjoyed the taste of the pulled pork, brown rice, pineapple, edamame, cucumbers, carrots, jalapeños, and miso-ginger vinaigrette. The ingredients were very fresh. Huli Huli Chicken - $15.50 for regular size plus $5 for shrimp tempura - 4 stars - My husband ate this poke bowl. It contained white rice, chicken, edamame, cucumber, avocado, scallion, carrot, wakame, siracha, and crispy shallot. He described the taste as "good."Volcano fries - 4.5 stars - $5 - These French fries were the wider/steak type. Sriracha mayo and eel sauce were drizzled on top. The fries were perfectly crispy, and we enjoyed the taste of the sauces.Hawaiian Sun - 5 stars - $6.50 for two - I drank the Pineapple Orange flavor, and my husband drank the Green Tea Apple. (The restaurant also sells other flavors of Hawaiian Sun juice drinks, Coke sodas, cold teas, and waters.)Price - 3.5 stars - I know that the economy is experiencing a lot of inflation, so the costs of foods are very high. My husband described the prices of this restaurant as "ridiculous," although based on other reviewers' photos of the restaurant's menu, the restaurant apparently has lowered their prices from several months ago.

When entering POKE, a nice kid at the counter greeted us in a very polite and professional manner. He was extremely helpful as we asked many questions on best bowls, what his favorite was and also about the drinks. He spent the time being enthusiastic and honest about his favorites which seemed to be a good portion of what the restaurant offers. I ordered the salmon bowl and thought it was absolutely fantastic! Lots of different items, flavors and the colors/design of the bowls as a whole were Instagram worthy. I was happy about my choice. The restaurant as a whole; the service, food and ambiance were all 5's on a scale of 1-5 rating. I would recommend this place and I look forward to trying all of the other bowls offered on the menu!!

A nice surprise to find in Wexford! Fresh poke bowl made in minutes for a quick meal. I stopped after a workout class for something different. Inside was very clean, well kept. I understand they opened in July 2022.

Came in with my wife and two sons last weekend for a poke bowl. We were the only patrons when we arrived and so we had really quick service and the staff were friendly. Food was ready in minutes and the tuna paired really well with the fresh vegetables and sauces provided. My sons are too young to have really enjoyed much beyond the rice and so my wife and I just gave them little bites of our shared bowl and that seemed to go pretty well; however, in the future I'd probably just come with other adults. Ambiance is relatively simple and my wife and I got a laugh out of the grocery store pineapples that line the wall where the bar seats are :) Overall good experience and I'd definitely order this again.

I really enjoyed the Aloha Pittsburgh bowl! I got it to go and also added avocado. Great quality food and was impressed by the service too. 10/10!
