I was originally patron of this restaurant in the late 80s and early 90s as a child. Sadly, the decor and food have not been updated (at all) since that time period. There was a thick layer of dust on all of the fake plants. The menu is overpriced and the quality of food is sub par for the price. Nostalgia is not enough to keep my business.

My family and I came to Al's for our first time recently, and we enjoyed our meal there. We were truly impressed by the decor and ambiance of the place. We loved the rustic wood and overall design. Food wise, things were a bit pricey, but portions and quality were good. For our lunches, an eggplant parm which was very good, some spaghetti and a few rounds of steak hoagies. Everyone enjoyed their food. We would definitely go back--we would just be a little more conscientious about what we order. (Caution--make sure you look at the prices of your drinks. 3.50 something for an ice tea adds up fast for a family of five when you're not expecting that!) Service was great, too. As I said, though, we would definitely go back to try some of their other items. They had a pretty impressive menu.

We used to go there about 1 time per week. Food quality has gone down significantly. Seems like most things are taken out of a freezer box & heated up.

First time customer and I enjoyed my lunch. I think we were the first to arrive and didn't realize there would be steps to go down into the restaurant. My Mom uses a walker and managed. We did learn later than you can enter from the bar and no steps!!!!This place is huge! Although I didn't care for the deer, bear and other animals hanging on the wall, the decor was nice and it felt clean. They had a lunch special menu and also a full menu, which has a nice variety of choices. I settled on the eggplant parmesan with pasta and a salad. The salad came quickly and was a decent size salad. The eggplant parmesan was nice and hot and was very good. They must not have let the pasta cool before putting it on my plate as I had a puddle of water sitting there.Service was superb!

Al's was our back up for the night, when our initial place had a 2 hour wait and we were HUNGRY. At Al's we were seated right away, they were busy but it was nothing crazy. Our server was very nice and gave us the time we needed to look over their menu. There were so many things that sounded good that it took is some time to make a decision. As an app we got the fried zucchini. They were some large planks and pretty good. Whenever I get a chance to eat some pasta I do it and Al's gave me that opportunity. For my main I got their Shrimp tortellini. It had spinach, portabella mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, and cheese filled tortellini with grilled chicken or shrimp in a roasted garlic cream sauce. Loved all the veggies, especially the portabella mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes. The sauce had the perfect amount of garlic. I even had enough for a small box of leftovers. It came with a salad and its been so long since I've had a nice fresh salad from a restaurant.

I have heard many good things about Al's Cafe but didn't have the chance to visit it until yesterday. I went for lunch with my Mother and youngest kid. We were seated right away. They have a lot of seating areas. There seemed to be quite a bit of people there for lunch but the wait time for ordering and food arrival was good. We both ordered wraps. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and it was by far the best I have had. They had rice in it! Soo yummy. Also the actual wrap was a jalapeño cheese wrap and that took it up a notch also. Then the fries were awesome also. My mother got the steak wrap and that was equally as interesting and tasty. They had coleslaw in it. It was definitely messier to eat but still so good. I look forward to coming back and trying another item off the menu. There were some salads I would like to try and also a burger. Pricing was a little more pricey for a lunch than other places but only by a couple dollars and I definitely think it was worth it by the taste of our food.

The food sucks... well over 100 menu options and it shows.. this restaraunt has so much potential. Maybe reduce the size of your 100+ menu items and try making something decent. Draft list small. Cocktail selection weak. Do better please... thanks
