First off, Albert's Lounge isn't the fanciest, best looking bar in the Burg. With that being said, if you are a hoity-toity, judgy, hipster type you probably won't like it here! If you are just looking for a casual, friendly atmosphere whilst enjoying a perfectly poured pint of delicious craft beer, then this is your place! The "regulars" are super friendly and even bring in food for a free pot luck party, during Sunday Steeler games! They do not serve food here, but often have parties for every holiday, and birthdays of regulars. Don't be surprised if you walk in on a hula hoop contest or a friendly cornhole competition. They always seem to have great prizes and giveaways!Albert's weekday happy hour (5-7) has discounted cocktail & beer prices. Friday happy hour with bartender Kristen is fantastic. She is energetic, funny, and will always make you feel welcome!! One of my personal reasons for coming here is that it has the best ladies room in Dormont. Always clean and rather "roomy" compared to others. So do yourself a favor and check this place out... Just leave your better-than-you attitude and home! Cheers xx

I would love to have a cozy, inviting neighborhood bar. Albert's is not that. You can definitely tell it used to allow smoking, because the remnants of smoke are still there. You know that stale smell... it's also just as gross as smoking. It's already pretty drab inside, but the fact that there is literally one of the finest windows ever producing a sliver of natural light makes it even less aesthetically appealing. While I understand they have "expanded" their beer selection, it still looked pretty average to me. There's so many awesome breweries in Pittsburgh, if they really were to care, I'd think they'd add a local tap or two. You can take out 6 packs, but it's very limited and only beers like Bud Light. What's really annoying as a Dormont resident, is that they're a terrible community partner. They've owned the old pharmacy next to them for years and haven't done a thing with it. It's just sat there with huge broken windows and junk inside for years. Now there's boards up... While their current establishment is plain Jane looking, the unfinished building they own next door looks downright trashy. I truly do hope they wake up and either sell off that property or finally fix it.

You can't really go wrong with Alberts. It's a decent dive bar with cheap drinks, a pool table and a jukebox. I've been here several times with local friends & always have a good time. They do not serve any food, so eat before you go. Also don't go here if you are looking for a hipster bar or night life, this is a classic dive! There is usually only 1 bartender, but never a problem getting a drink. If dive bars are your style, check out Albert's!

Albert's is unapologetically a dive to its core! And we love them for that. No frills, no food, no cards, no foofy drinks, no new fangled jukebox where you can play music from your barstool; beer and booze thats their specialty. Just like most dive bars, this place isn't worth going out of your way for, but if you find yourself in Dormont and you feel like tying one on during a Pirates game, then Alberts has got you covered. If you don't have cash they have an ATM, and the pool table plays true. As long as you leave your attitude at home, Bert's is good fun for everyone.

A former creepy dive bar, Alberts has upped the ante a bit. They remodeled, and it's now non-smoking, which is a HUGE improvement. They stock lots of specialty and craft brews, and many local beers as well. The bartenders are all pretty nice and friendly, and it seems like there are a majority of regulars every time I've been. A solid neighborhood watering hole.My only complaint is that they're cash only. It's 2017 Alberts, get with it.

When I first moved to Dormont I had heard some unkind words about this establishment. I gave it a shot anyway, about two years ago, and threw those comments out the window. The bar is clean and spacious. It is a no smoking bar, so you won't go home smelling like one. The variety of draft beers is wonderful and the people are friendly. It's definitely a locals bar. I give a 4 because there is no food, when they can clearly have that. They have a kitchen in the back that they don't use. Maybe that will change in the future? Thumbs crossed. Thumbs up

Not your average hole in the wall. Step inside to a bright and clean atmosphere. The regulars happy to greet you. Many craft beers and growlers. Don't forget money for the jukebox. A great collection of music. Step inside. Play a song. Grab a drink.

This place stepped it up on the nice scale. It is still a dive but it's non smoking which made it nicer. Pool is cheap. The atmosphere is still ok. Could use a little fresher look but I recommend this place.

The service is always above and beyond. The ambiance is phenomenal, especially on Fridays with karaoke or a band. The drinks are very good!

I live only about 2 blocks away from this bar but have never thought of stopping by until this past Friday. I must say I was pleasantly surprised by it. By no means, is this a fancy bar but it surely is carries like one when it comes to the selection of craft beers.Being a dive bar, I assumed most of the patrons are mostly locals and pretty friendly. And it does have that cafeteria feel to it especially in the seating area. There's a separate pool table room, couple slot machines and an electric dartboard across the bar area. So, we spent most of our time just playing darts and by the time we had few drinks - the place was pretty packed. The beers are very reasonable priced - and majority of them drafts were 8%+ ABV. I had couple pints of Guiness and Yards' Thomas Jefferson which I believe was 8% as well. Definitely, well worth the visit again.
