I kept hearing about this little restaurant that had the most amazing food. I wasn't sure it was open, but we drove to it and decided to give it a try. The space only has five or six tables and extremely limited menu but those are the places where you know that each one of those menu items is going to be great.I decided on the lasagna and my husband got the spaghetti and meatballs. It came with a little house salad that I got the house Italian with an a couple pieces of bread and of course real butter. The sauce was so amazing. The reviews were spot on. I had recognized the owner as a worker from the post office, and I couldn't believe that she worked at the post office all day and cooked at night. She told me how she uses her grandmother's recipes, and that she makes a lot of her own pastas and desserts. When I got the bill, I was shocked at how little it cost for such a homemade Italian meal. Please please please give this little place a try. You won't be disappointed.

A simple menu in an unassuming block building, you can be forgiven for not knowing this place was here. However, you'd be missing a friendly host and delicious food. We have done takeout from here twice and both times were wonderful, both in the conversation and the meals. I love that it is classic, humble, and unfussy. My ravioli was just about perfect and the kids loved the gnocchi. This is not Il Pizziaolo, Arlecchino, or DiAnoia's. This is your immigrant Italian grandmother making food with love.

April 20242 seniors. Carry-out on a Sunday evening. We're very particular. We don't patronize chain restaurants. We look for places like Ala Maria's, home cooking, independently owned. Maria is in the kitchen, cooking. Literally. It was almost closing time on Sunday evening and the place was empty because Maria had been doing carry-out all day. She greeted us and told us what was still available. Most of her menu was sold out. My husband had spaghetti and meatballs and I ordered the veggie lasagna. Her tomato sauce is perfect. Not too thick, spiced just right. It "coated" the pasta perfectly. The meatballs were good if a little bland for our taste as we like garlic and lots of it. I loved the lasagna, lots of texture, and taste other than just the taste of pasta. The accompanying white Italian bread, and basic salad were fine but nothing special. No deserts as they were sold-out. We'll be back.

Food & service excellent. No ambiance. Could use a lot of sprucing up so absolutely do NOT go atmosphere. The host is welcoming & proud of her craft & businesses. The waitress was very efficient & offered meal suggestions when we asked.

This is a diamond in the rough. You will find this restaurant in a white painted building in between krencys and unimart. The Italian restaurant is cash only! And the menu is quite limited due to the fact everything is homemade from the pasta to the sauce. Speaking of the sauce is a little on the light and sweet side. Prices are pretty good for the amount of food you receive. Check out this little gem.

My husband, my two teenage daughters, and I went here on my birthday. My husband was looking for a nice but different restaurant to go to. He found this one and I had good reviews. We pulled up and it literally is an old garage. The outside had peeling paint and looked bad, but we decided to go in anyways. When you were eating, you are literally inside an old garage with cinderblock walls in the garage floor. Really bad paint job too. But we thought at least the food will probably be good The menu only had five items. My husband had the lasagna which was literally a huge heavy brick. He didn't even eat half of it. My daughters had the gnocchi, and it was very gummy. My pasta was also very gummy and all of the sauce had no taste at all. We never put salt on food and we were all putting salt on our food. It also said it came with a side and listed four different items . But that day they only had a salad and my daughters don't eat salads so all we got was a plate of gnocchi's for $12. They gave you bread, but it literally look like it was just a loaf of bread from the grocery store that they threw some slices in and put it out on the table. The young girl, who waited on us was extremely extremely nice. And you could almost sense her uneasiness at how bad the food and atmosphere was. I felt sorry for her and we left her a nice tip. I can say well, we went there, but we would never go back again.

Just has a dinner at a little hidden gem in Washington ala Maria. Three of us had lagasna and it was to die for. The sauce is some of the best I've ever had. Great service good food. Don't miss out on a home style meal. Did I mention the pasta is homemade.

I knew this was a non-descript hole in the wall restaurant, and is it ever. The parking lot is rough gravel. The restaurant has no atmosphere, no ambience. I felt like I was in the Kramden apartment (referencing The 1950's Honeymooners television show.) The chairs are small and uncomfortable. The wall looks like it was under attack in a war. There are six tables. Allow plenty of time for conversation, the problem being that it will be overheard by others due to the close proximity of diners and the acoustics. The menu asks diners to be patient: that is an understatement. Our soup arrived 40 minutes after we ordered our meals. The entrees took over one hour. The napkins are paper. Salt and pepper are in small packets. Plain, uninteresting bread served in a plastic container, is provided with butter packets that one must open. The bread is not served warm. We ordered a sampler dinner with a meatball, lasagna, gnocchi, and ravioli. The portion was standard size. The meatball and ravioli were pretty good; the rest of the food was mediocre and the sauce was watery and runny. The prices are not out of line, but be aware that it is cash only, something I was not told when I called. Our meals were $14.95 each. The best thing about our meal was the engaging server, who salvaged the evening to the extent that it could be salvaged.

Wow! We just finished a delicious gnocci meal that reviled my mama's - absolutely delicious! This restaurant is a hidden gem! Was able to do curbside due to COVID. Wonderful chef, too. Highly recommended! Mary Jo Podgurski
