Okay- I'll be the first to admit that I love dominos and Pizza Hut white pizza. Their white pizza is AMAZING AND MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE PIZZA IN THE WORLD. How is this my first time trying this? It is too good and I know I will crave it. I can't go back to any other pizza!!

I'm so glad to finally have a good pizza shop close enough to grab takeout from. I never ate at the original shop in Squirrel Hill but I now see what the fuss was all about. Aiello's may not topple Mineo's and Fiori's as Pgh Pizza Kings, but it certainly gets an honorable mention and a well deserved seat at the table. The plain cheese pizza is a solid pick. I know the ovens are still new, so I'm looking forward to them aging into pizza perfection in time. Let's talk about the Italian hoagie, served on a Mancini's bun. The Aiello's Italian hoagie is like eating an Italian hoagie for the very first time. What a delightful. I understand the Italian dressing used on the hoagie is revered in a similar fashion to Frank's famous ranch dressing. The experience lived up to the hype without question. If you're a first timer it's a great place to start. You may never want to try anything else.

First to review?! WOOT!So after seeing this location take QUITE some time to renovate since being purchased the excitement to visit was peaked. On that note the inside looks GREAT. A much needed total renovation from the old and dark pizzeria it used to be. 2 nice large TVs sit on the wall facing the street and play the local Pittsburgh sports games (nice touch). Plenty of tables to sit at and a bar that faces the street where one can enjoy their food. The bar seating made me think that this new pizzeria would offer single pizza slice options but unfortunately that wasn't so. One can hope that that will be an option one day (fingers crossed). Now let's get to the most important part... the food. Again a little background here about myself... i'm a NYC to Pittsburgh transplant so the bar is set a little high when it comes to pizza. To cut to the chase i'd give the pizza itself a 6.7 on the scale most know of on the socials. I was seeing pies come out of the oven with burnt bubbles on the crust and got pretty excited... as pictured though ours didn't come out like that. The sauce and cheese used are very tasty and give the pizza an all around good taste. Undercarriage had a nice crisp to it but after tasting the crust it was evident that it needed to be cooked just a little longer. Definitely going to be visiting again and asking if it can be made extra crispy with extra sauce. I'll update the review after that.Just a quick observation here. The "Specialty" Buffalo Chicken Pizza was seen numerous times while dining. That thing looked GOOD. But keeping it to the norm of judging a new Pizzeria the plain pie and Italian Sammich was used for par. Getting to said Italian Sammich we ordered it to see where the bar sat in regards to non-pizza fare but were told that they were out of all hoagies. Being pleasantly surprised we were visited by a woman (forgot to ask her name) that told us that they indeed did have an Italian and how would we like it. Asked for it will all the fixings... and WOW. Although it lacked a solid amount of meats (again this could just be a NYC/NJ Deli Scale thing) it tasted GREAT. This review was teetering at a 3 Star... but that hoagie took it right to a solid 4. Will DEFINITELY be back to try all of their other subs/hoagies/grinders. Apparently they sell their Italian Hoagie Sauce... although that's pretty tempting, supporting a local (and especially new) business is the name of the game.We also got Pepper Cheese Balls w/ Ranch and Zucchini Sticks w/ Marinara Sauce. Just going to say that these are indeed "Munchies" and fit their bill. Standard fare really. I'd offer some advice to the owner and maybe make your own Ranch Dressing. I think it's blasphemous but some REALLY enjoy that stuff on/with their pizza. Having it come in a little package with no cup seemed a little corner cutting. On a positive note that Marinara Sauce was EXCELLENT. Another plus here is their beverage selection. This isn't just a Coke and/or Pepsi place. These guys have a plethora of artisanal sodas. Better yet... not only do they have 1919 Root beer (favorite for pizza) but the standard Pittsburgh staple Turner's Ice Tea. Whoever is in charge of that... WELL DONE!I wish this new pizzeria nothing but the very best of luck and will indeed be back (even if it's just for a lunch time sammich and soda). Considering there are 3 other places to grab a pizza (or just a slice) within walking distance/short drive it may be a challenge. But I will say that this pizza is nothing like the other 3 down the road and will most definitely stand out for most!

So people need to understand what is good pizza and what is not. Gourmet pizza with fresh ingredients is going to cost more, quit being so damn cheap. Also you need to understand if a place is brand new, it's Going to take time for ovens to cook in. On top of that, they need workers. This day in age everyone wants everything for free and no one wants to work. This is a pizza place that you go to once or twice a month because it's rich. You can eat this every week if you want, but I feel like this is best in moderation. Mineos is trash, Caliente pays for their awards and is absolute garbage , milanos is the most inconsistent pizza place, Pasquale's trash, Adriana's trash. You can go on and on, the north hills is football pizza and nothing to brag about. If you get a large cheese from here and ask for it well done, it competes or beats Fioris . I had Fioris and aiellos in the same day for a comparison and I believe Aiello's was better. For people with actual taste buds and not just random yinzers that like to complain about everything, i think you will be very satisfied. Fioris has been the king of Pittsburgh for awhile, I think they have legit competition. Just a reminder this pizza will continue to get better with time as long as they don't go away from their core beliefs and skimp on anything. My current pizza rankings 1a. Fioris1b.Aiellos 3. Fazios ( a sleeper pick )Also the Italian hoagies are delicious (get dressing on the side)Pepperoni rolls are very tasty

Our family has been huge fans of Aiellos in Squirrel Hill for as long as we can remember and were really excited to try the new location closer to home. We waited a bit to try here to let the quirks of a new location sort themselves out and had a fantastic experience. We dined in on Thursday around 4:30 and were able to find a spot in the parking lot without issue. The staff were really outgoing and friendly. We ordered a large cheese and pepperoni roll and completely devoured them. Will definitely be back!

My father wanted to try this place. I drove all the way up from Sewickley and the pizza was average at best. Very disappointing. I've had a lot of good pizza, so I'm kind of picky, but the sauce tasted like something you would find at giant eagle.. nice people clean establishment..

Bought a pizza opening night. Could barely claim it was a pepperoni pizza. Pizza was burnt on one side. Unfortunately, we got it to go.
