My boyfriend and I have tried this place on a whim because it was close to the house.. and man.. LET ME TELL YOU.... THIS FOOD WAS HANDS DOWN DELICIOUS!! It was so authentic tasting.. the spices.. the flavor.. the meat.. even the vegetables are seasoned and soo good! We ordered Pepper Steak w/white rice ane3d Curry chicken w/rice and peas and 2 beef patties. Everything was hot and steamy and just so so damn good!! This place is a true diamond in the rough..you may not notice it but you will now. Please stop by and support this business.. we were very surprised and enjoyed EVERYTHING! We kept saying how good it was and I am not exaggerating! We will return!

It would be easy to overlook this hidden hill district gem, but if you know where to look, you'll find Abby's. We had the jerk chicken and honey garlic shrimp special. Abby's has you choose your own spice level. My mild shrimp was well-seasoned and not overly sweet. The jerk chicken had a good level of heat. The portion sizes were hearty (medium) and a good value for the price. There's some seating in Abby's, but I'd opt for carry out during warmer months because the couple of four tops are in a space with little air flow and no AC.

I reallly realllllly realllllllllly enjoyed my food today. There were some hiccups, I ordered the lunch special and paid $6, and he came out and told me that he forgot to show me the size difference. I paid $2 more and got the medium. Then he came out and told me that there was no more cabbage and he suggested the collard greens, okay, then I waited about 20 min for my food. When I opened it I thought, "dang, I should have asked for more juice." BOY WAS I WRONG! When I dived in to my rice and peas, it was like an avalanche of goodness. I was extremely pleased with the greens, curry chicken and rice and peas.
