56 Buffet

Everything here was good! Can't beat the service. It is a very clean and friendly place! Great buffet selection!

The 56 Buffet was great. The food was delicious and the buffet was fully stocked. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I look forward to visiting again when I'm in the area.

I'm a sucker for a good buffet and this one is great! Only four stars because if you get there too soon after they open not all the food is out yet. But other than that a great place!

Worst meal in my 63 years I have ever had. Service was good, but the food was just awful. Literally not one thing was good. Chicken with broccoli had a rancid fishy taste that I could not get out of my mouth. Chicken on a stick was dry and hard. All of the breaded chicken dishes including General Taos were very small hard pieces. I could go on and on. It was just really bad.

It was disgusting! The food was cold and the cake was stale. I wouldn't recommend it!

There's a lot of good,cheap, Chinese buffets around Johnstown/Altoona. This isn't one of them. I should have gone by the overall Yelp rating. We arrived on a Sat.nite around 5:30. It's a big place, but was nearly empty. When we left it was about 6:60 and about 1/6 full. I had previously called about the crab legs on the weekend since this is a selling point on some of their internet listings and they said yes,they had them. When arriving, The sign on the crab legs said " 3 per person each trip". o.k., cool. there were 4l legs in the tray, I took three. They were small, I'd wait until the next batch.The help appeared very busy,but they would bring out a new, empty tray, and put the two spoons full off the old tray in the new, empty ones. This was all entrees. It appears every 25 min or so they refresh the crab leg's with new ones, and they put another 7 smaller ones in the hot tray. They were gone before I got to them. I'm not a glutton for crab legs, but 5 or six would hare been perfect.I usually go to a place at least twice before reviewing. This place, I will not be going back. It has been under new management for three years. Three years to get it right and they failed on all levels.It cost us $25 individually.

I came here with a party of 9. We were quickly seated by the friendly staff. Everyone in our group found something they enjoyed. The buffet was clean and the food was great.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER we went on the weekend where it closes at 10 p.m and at 9 they were forcing us to leave hovering over our backs, watching us like some thieves. Food began to taste weird after eating it. Staff was VERY UNWELCOMING AND RUDE AND DISGUSTING only the little girl at the front was nice DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Don't use a card to pay...my card got hacked after using it there. Multiple fraudulent charges within 24 hours. Very angry. I don't even want to give 1 star but had to select one to post review.

My husband and I come in here for the soup which is absolutely amazing! The service is always great. You're greeted with a smile. She finally got seat covers because the old booths were peeling away so it looks much better now for the price you can't beat it.
