1833 Coffee and Tea Company

I don't live far, so I frequent this cafe a lot. I personally don't drink coffee, and I have always been satisfied with their tea selections. From iced teas in the summer to tea lattes in the winter. I love the changing seasonal drink menus too.Staff/service has always been excellent. Very welcoming and friendly. The cafe is cute and there is a large table in the back set for friend groups or community gatherings. Nice layout. Downtown Freeport is cute and quiet. 1833 is a good stop for locals and visitors alike.

Made a stop in super quick on my way through town! Service was super friendly! I asked opinions on what they thought I would like best and they certainly provided! I got the s'mores/campfire iced latte with oatmilk. Very smooth flavors and not bitter. Love their seasonal menus!They had several pastry options, will have to try one the next time I pop in and aren't in a hurry! They have shelves full of their own products as well as other small shops. Seating options available. A great asset to the lovely town! Highly recommend checking it out!

This coffee shop has quickly become my favorite. I usually get a sugar-free vanilla latte with oat milk. I try to remember to bring my own mug because they are happy to use it for your drink. They have a room in the back that I have seen small groups of people using, and it looks like the perfect meeting space for friends or a community group. The baristas are always friendly, and the music is always perfect. This most recent visit, it was two Noah Kahan songs back to back, and I was in heaven. They have local handmade goods for sale from different artisans. It's a short drive from my house, and it's perfect for a little treat. They also offer online ordering and seasonal menu options.

A charming coffee shop in the heart of Freeport! I enjoyed a latte (4 shots in a large...buzz!!!) that was delightful! My date enjoyed her Americano. The barista and owner have a gem of a spot here, and offer various pastries, chocolate treats, teas and beans to go. Ample seating, well laid out. The shop itself was spotlessly clean. Bravo...a wifi expresso winner here!

Excellent menu options + super friendly staff. Best matcha around. A great place to meet a friend for a coffee or grab a few minutes of quiet wifi to get work done.

i owned a coffeehouse - cafe/gallery/stage - from 1996 B.S. (Before Starbucks) to 2007 A.S. (After Starbucks). I love coffee and can make everything at home - BUT cafe espresso. 1833 - named after the year Feeeport PA was founded - is a real gem of a 3rd wave delight. it is on par with every serious 3rd wave (or whatever the kids are calling it these days) style coffeehouse that emphasizes the pure coffee experience. 1833 offers small batch lighter roasts that retain citrus, stone fruit, and floral qualities (unlike 2nd wave (Starbucks) that roasts them out for large scale production consistency. * espresso is on the light side with a ristretto brightness. * drip blend is rich and bright with strong Ethiopian flavortones. * cold brew a little on the thin side - but might be due to me chatting up the owner and the ice melting and following the intense expresso i started out with. * 13 lunar mansions of loose leaf StoreHouseTea.com. * local Red Ribbon sodas, Marburger juices, Le-Ara diary, Bedillion honey, LilBean pastries, Mama Made Treats1883 has done everything right to present excellent coffee while maintaining small town rural community. unequivocal 5 stars!

Cute space., well lit and clean. Not an overwhelming menu like some places. Cute and tasty pastries . Cinnmon crumb cake was tasty. Other goodies looked very nice as well. Could use a few more little tables but otherwise it was a great visit . Dirty chai and iced chai were very good. Would visit again . Lots of branded stuff of theirs to buy if you wanted to buy stuff.

I am so glad we found this coffee shop on our road trip. It's so cute and the coffee and customer service are amazing! They are so friendly & had great suggestions.This place has such a welcoming environment that makes you want to stay a while. They also have a mini selection of cute gift items.

What a gem! Friendly staff and an array of coffee delights. They have a handful of specialty drinks along with your standard coffee offerings. They also offer baked items like pepperoni rolls, cookies, scones etc. they have cute goods you can pick up too - like soaps, candles etc.
