1700 Penn Ave

I ordered on of their signature cocktail a day it was okay. But when I had him make me a cocktail off the menu it was amazing! The place has high ceilings and ambiance is good! Nice place to have a drink at the bar or sit outside. They also had live music on Saturday night when I was there. I would recommend this place.

Helltown Brewing and 1700 Penn recently changed up their menu to a BBQ themed choice. Although the menu is brief, the food is delicious! They also have dessert options like popcorn ice cream, which is intriguing. The drinks are always great as well with a lot of signature cocktails with their spirits.

Went here for best in the burgh tour. I tried a ban mi type of barbecue it was really good! I can't waitTo get back! They will be having barbecue version of different types of food around the world so I'm very excited to see what they have

1700 Penn Ave is a lot of things: outdoor hangout spot, wine shop, and taproom. I have frequented the outdoor "beer garden" since they opened last summer. They offer Helltown beers on tap and in cans, canned cocktails, and brick oven pizza. There are many picnic tables where you can enjoy your beverage and food. They typically have live music outside. It is pricey, but still a great place to hang out. The indoor taproom has about 20 beers on tap and has a larger food menu than the beer garden. We have ordered pizza when we have visited in the past and thought it was great. We have tried the Bianco and the Margherita. The pizza's are small and can feed 2 people. The indoor wine shop has a large collection of PA wines and sometimes offer samples.

My industry group hosted a happy hour here this week. We reserved a few tables on the spacious patio for a low charge, and got lucky with good weather. On Thursdays, there's a musician (no cover fee) on the patio. The space inside is pretty big too, along with a cute wine shop featuring PA-based bottles. There's free parking after 6pm in the strip district. The food menu is a little smaller than what I had hoped for on choices, but the sandwiches are pretty big. I can't wait to go back for another outdoor happy hour!

1700 is a fun place to see live music! They have bands every Thursday - Sunday outside in their big parking lot full of picnic tables. They serve pizza from Aviva outside, and it is great! Thin crust, wood fired, and fresh! The veggie and white pizzas are my favorites. They serve Helltown beer, local PA wines, and I noticed a few new offerings like a Gin and Tonic seltzer too. Most of the PA wines are sweet, but they had a dry white wine that was okay. I prefer dry wine, so these are not my first choice. The crowd of people seemed to love them though. I remember last Summer they served Boyd & Blair batched cocktails, and I really loved those drinks! I don't think they serve hard liquor outside anymore. I also enjoyed the blueberry lavender cider, and a dark Helltown beer other times I have visited. The sound is good and the vibe is great. People go here to dance, hang outside, and have a good time. I have not been inside the wine shop or Helltown tap room, but hope to one day soon!

This place is right in the strip district and has a great atmosphere. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating with occasional live music. They were pretty busy when we went and the service was not the greatest.

Happy w the selection and service. The staff is well educated and knows there stuff! Great environment the ambience is extremely trendy.

Love this place! So much outdoor seating (and an outdoor bar) and some indoor as well. Live music at times. Right on the strip so plenty of shopping options nearby!

I've been to 1700 Penn twice this summer. Overall, we love it here. They have a decent selection of beers as well as canned ciders. We had a reservation today for an inside table. Due to the rain, the live music was moved inside. While this is normally something we'd love, it was very loud, even from being at one of the furthest tables. The live band was great but I wish the volume was turned down just a little so it was easier to hear what my server/others at my table were saying. Would love it there was a few more food options as well (they have some pizzas, salad, etc). Overall, a great place to hang out, especially in the summer! We will definitely come back, especially if it's a nice day and we can sit outside.
