Pitch - Cavasson

Our server was super knowledgeable on the menu and drinks. Our food was delicious and timely served. The patio looked enjoyable but was busy so we sat in the restaurant. Almost everything is made in house and beers and liquors are unique and yummy. Very attentive to details to make their food special. Our server also mentioned the brunch on Sundays which our friends enjoyed the following day with their mother.

If negative energy is your thing, this is the place for you! Wow... no smiles, joy or teamwork among the bar team. Quite the opposite. Not sure why, but possibly poorly managed. Who knows?Stopped for a nightcap after a more positive experience next door at the Hilton Desert Pony bar.Bartender team was totally miserable. We could see it in the posture even. Neighboring patron's food looked decent, although not sure I want to tolerate the lackluster personalities just to dine here. We live in a haven of positive bar/dining choices that are super close (Local Bistro, Ling's, The Craftsman, Juan's even) so why subject myself to misery.If you loathe serving people, please seek another profession (it IS a profession, and treat it as such).Oh yeah. Not a fan of a surcharge ever, especially for lousy service.

Be very wary of this place. Very good food and atmosphere. I will give it that. Service can be hit or miss as described in other reviews.But the real kicker is their pricing. The menu is way overpriced for the area. You can get the same quality of food in very similar atmospheres at other, better places in north Scottsdale. But we asked for extra crackers for the cheeseboard and they charged us $1.50 for six crackers. And then when the bill came there was a seven dollar surcharge that said it "may be" added. When discussing with the manager, she said there's nothing she can do and had no explanation. The really frustrating part was that she offered no solution didn't offer to take anything off of our bill or take back the charge. Very poor management and customer service skills. All she did was blame the owner. Stay away! If you pay with a card then they charge you regardless.

This is heaven for bourbon lovers! Nice setting with beautiful views. We had cocktails and shared a calamari which could have used more calamari's and less zucchini. It was tasty just slightly overpriced. The bartenders are very nice and the service was fast and efficient.

Read the reviews and was a little worried about visiting. Glad we tried it. We enjoyed the Beet salad - large enough to split for lunch. Easy walk over from Hilton Cavasson.

Ate lunch here with some work colleagues and it came with beautiful patio views. The service was great and accommodating to our tables. They have awesome lunch specials that are a great price. I got a salad and meatballs and both were delicious and good portions that filled me up and didn't have to worry about leftovers. I'll definitely stop in again!

Consistently GREAT. It's so good I had to eat here 2 nights in a row (and ordered the same thing each time ).I love the ambiance- first night the doors were open behind the bar and outside tables were full - second it was raining and they were closed but enjoyed it just as much. It's FRIENDLY w great service.I also love a good upscale sports bar...and this fits that definition in every way. Lots of tvs, excellent local beer & food that crushes any "bar food" stereotype! Salmon kills it. Simply prepared, large portion, excellent fries (yep, had to make an executive menu change). Beer is spectacular- the Juicy Jack.Also love the way the present the bill w the magnetic cork - makes me smile when I look at the pic.Even if you are not staying at the Hilton Cavasson it's worth a stop.

Pitch has a beautiful interior and an enjoyable atmosphere but our visit had several negative points. First, it is comically overpriced. For example, getting a gluten-free pizza is an $8 surcharge. That's awfully high when the vast majority of places I've been to charge between $2-4 for the same, for much larger pizzas. If a frozen pizza crust costs you an extra $8, just imagine what a sandwich runs.Service here can be very hit or miss. Due to a busy place and no reservations, we got quickly seated at the bar and got drinks quickly. Once we got seated at a table, we waited 20 minutes before a server even came with water. Our particular server may have been a trainee but they had absolutely no knowledge or command of the menu, of food allergy issues, and unfortunately was bumblingly, awkwardly slow on their iPad. However, once our order was in, we got our food fairly quickly, service was attentive thereafter, and the food was pretty tasty.Nevertheless, the menu here is convoluted with far too many choices and prices that don't match up to the overall experience unless you're really into the decor and style of the place. I'll skip this in the future in favor of smaller, better places with more attention to customers and detail.

Got it to go, but was ready on time and was able to take some fab photos while waiting. Always intrigued by the displays!

Food and service was great. Fantastic bourbon selection! Took my daughter here for her 21st and had a larger group, no issues with making a reservation or service provided to the large group!
