Pita Cafe Express

Just moved to the area and there are so many options to choose from. So you have to ask yourself what are you offering customers that others aren't.I walked in, the female behind the counter didn't greet me. Stared at me and kept working. Ok I'm sure she's just busy. Then a guy comes up to the front and says "one second pls". Ok no problem. Then the same girl walks to the back and then up front. Stands in front of me and stares at me. Not a word! So I say, "Do I order with you?"Now I'm thinking, "Holy crap, this girl is mad that I walked in!" I can't even enjoy my food with that type of first impression.I can get a salad 2x the size and Salad &Go for only $7.

I spotted the newly opened Pita Café Express after grocery shopping. We had been talking about Baba Ghanoush recently and knowing their sister store served it I stopped in. Alas, they only had hummus. I was about to leave but their friendly staff convinced me to change my mind so I decided on the hummus bowl. It starts with a hefty serving of hummus (they have several varieties but I chose the regular) then I got to pick "additions". I selected finely chopped tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, and onions. An ample portion of grilled beef and lamb was added and then I had them drizzle what appeared to be a creamy garlic sauce over the top. The pita included was still warm and soft when I arrived home. My bowl was delicious--tangy and fresh tasting. I'm glad I decided to try it (but I still love Baba Ghanoush (hint, hint...)

This is my second time coming here in 2 days. The first time I ordered the rice bowl and salad bowl both with chicken. This place is like chipotle for Greek food. You pick your base, protein and toppings. 3 options on hummus but my favorite is the jalapeño chipotle. The staff is friendly and the place is clean and has plenty of seating for large groups. Great place for a quick lunch on the go or families that all have different taste buds.

Popped into the Pita Cafe Express today with my Mom for the first time and it will definitely not be our last. The staff were SO very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The food was quite amazing. I got a chicken pita and my mom had the gyro pita- not sure which one we loved more! If you enjoy Mediterranean food, this place is a MUST TRY!!

Wow love this new addition as it's a Greek version of chipotle except they give you much better portions. I got the pita with steak and lamb, tzatziki, onions and cucumbers, Parmesan and it was delicious. Friendly server.

Came here the other day in a rush for dinner, and tired from work. Realized they just moved into this plaza and gave them a call from parking lot and put in an order with a very sweet young lady. 10 mins later I walk in and my food is ready... she was a pleasure. Nice & clean establishment- the food was absolutely delicious ! I was very impressed with the Pita too, it was so soft and had a great taste. I'm from NY & my bar for food is set high. I appreciate a well priced well made meal ! We will be back for sure !

Awesome service, quick preparation, and my pita sandwich/fries were amazing. Glad to have a fast Mediterranean joint down the street.

Good portions and delicious food. Gyro, pita, steak/lamb, falafel, whatever does it for you - it will be GOOD! Fresh veggies, flavorful hummus, their spicy tzatziki is out of this world!!!Their mother-restaurant in north Scottsdale is more of a structured menu but Pita Cafe Express lets you build your own pita/bowl/salad a la Chipotle but with a home-feel taste because it's a locally owned business. How ever you build your bowl, wrong or right, you'll still be happy

Wanted to try this restaurant out for dinner. We went at about 7:30 and there were several others ordering as well. I liked the idea of picking choices to go on our pita sandwich. I did think that the portion of protein was skimpy but tasted good.

The food was delicious, and the service was even better! I was happy to see a Greek place by me, and will definitely go back.
